<Signal Information>(Digital channels only)
Unlike analog channels, which can vary in reception quality from snowy to clear, digital (HDTV)
channels have either perfect reception quality or you will not receive them at all. So, unlike analog
channels, you cannot fine tune a digital channel. You can, however, adjust your antenna to
improve the reception of available digital channels.
If the signal strength meter indicates that the signal is weak, physically adjust your antenna
to increase the signal strength. Continue to adjust the antenna until you find the best
position with the strongest signal.

Standard Signal Mode Table
An LCD monitor has one optimal resolution for the best visual quality depending on the screen size due to the inherent
characteristics of the panel, unlike a CDT monitor.
Therefore, the visual quality will be degraded if the optimal resolution is not set for the panel size. It is recommended setting
the resolution to the optimal resolution of the product.
PC Timing (PC and HDMI input)
If the signal from the PC is one of the following standard signal modes, the screen is set automatically. However, if the signal from
the PC is not one of the following signal modes, a blank screen may be displayed or only the Power LED may be turned on.
Therefore, configure it as follows referring to the User Manual of the graphics card.

Horizontal Frequency
The time taken to scan one line from the left-most position to the right-most position on the screen is called the horizontal cycle
and the reciprocal of the horizontal cycle is called the horizontal frequency. The horizontal frequency is represented in kHz.
Vertical Frequency
A panel must display the same picture on the screen tens of times every second so that humans can see the picture. This
frequency is called the vertical frequency. The vertical frequency is represented in Hz.

Can I watch digital TV broadcasting with an analog TV?
Troubleshooting
No.
The analog TV cannot interpret digital signals. Therefore, a digital TV is
required to watch digital TV broadcasting.
5-3
FAQ
Can I use my present antenna to receive digital
broadcasting?
PLEASE TRY THE FOLLOWING!
As for existing analog TV, digital TV is designed so that digital broadcasting signals are received via both indoor and outdoor antennas.
If signal reception is very good in your environment, you can watch digital
broadcasts with your existing indoor antenna. If not, it is better to install an
outdoor antenna.
Can I watch a digital broadcast on an analog TV
set?
No, you cannot.
Can I watch a digital broadcast using the
antenna I am using now?
A digital TV is designed to receive signals via an indoor or outdoor
antenna, just like an analog TV. Accordingly, you can watch digital broadcasts using the existing indoor antenna as long as the receipt condition is
good. It is recommended that you install an outdoor UHF antenna when
the receipt condition of the indoor antenna is poor.
How can I connect the antenna in a multiplex
house such as an apartment or town house?
Contact the maintenance office (or CATV service provider) of your residence and ask whether you can watch digital TV broadcasts.
You need a TV set supporting digital broadcasts because an analog TV set
has no function for processing and displaying digital signal data.
You should install an indoor or outdoor antenna if the maintenance office of
your residence does not transfer digital TV broadcasts or if you cannot
watch digital TV broadcasts even over a CATV service.
You can also subscribe to a local cable TV service provider that supports
digital TV broadcasts.
If the cable TV service provider shares CATV facilities, it should transmit
digital TV broadcasts in the same manner as TV broadcasts over the air
transmitted by the CATV service to apartment buildings, town houses, and
multiplex houses.
