TV (ARC)
Startup Guide (this document) explains how to connect the Bar Speaker
and a TV via an HDMI cable.
•Make sure that the cable is firmly inserted.
•When your TV does not have an HDMI IN jack labeled “ARC,” you also need to connect the TV and the Bar Speaker via the optical digital cable (supplied) as
instructed in step . There will be no sound output from the TV if the TV and the Bar Speaker are connected only via the HDMI cable.
•Do not use a cable which is wide enough to touch the casing of the Bar Speaker. If it is used, the connector area will overload and it may interrupt the
picture or cause malfunction.
•To watch 4K video content, refer to “Connecting a 4K TV and 4K Devices” in the Operating Instructions (separate document).
Use an HDMI cable (not supplied) to connect an HDMI OUT jack on a device and either the HDMI IN 1 jack or HDMI IN 2 jack on the Bar
Speaker.

•When devices such as a Blu-ray Disc player, cable box, or satellite box are currently connected to a TV, disconnect the device from the TV and then connect
it to the Bar Speaker to reproduce the high quality surround sound.
When there is no HDMI jack labeled “ARC” on your TV, use the optical digital cable (supplied) to connect an optical out jack on your TV
and the TV IN (OPT) jack on the Bar Speaker.
Note
