IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read all instructions in this guide before using your Heater.
This product is intended for indoor residential, office and personal shop use only,
not for industrial or other commercial applications. Use only with electrical wiring
that is in good working order and that meets applicable codes and ordinances.
If you have any questions whether your wiring is adequate, consult a qualified
electrician.
While using your Heater, you should follow the IMPORTANT
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS listed below. As part of those instructions, we have
used the word ”
WARNING “ to indicate the level of hazard:
WARNING: indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, could result in injury
or death.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: SHOCK HAZARD
Use your heater only in dry environments. This heater is not intended for use in a
bathroom, laundry area, or similar locations, or near sinks, washing machines,
swimming pools or other sources of water. Never locate heater where it may fall
into a bathtub or other water container. Do not use heater outdoors. Do not use in
damp environments such as flooded basements.
WARNING: HOT SURFACES
Do not touch body of heater when in use. This heater is hot when in use, to avoid
burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when
moving this heater.
WARNING: FIRE HAZARD
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this Heater.
2. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended
by the manufacturer may cause electrical shock, fire, or injury to persons.
3. Do not operate the heater with a damaged power cord or after the heater
malfunctions or has been dropped in any manner.
4. Do not use heater unattended. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
5. Do not place the heater on a small, unlevel, uneven or any surface which might
allow Heater to tip or fall.
6. For proper operation, the heater should be placed on a smooth, non combustible
surface.
Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use near combustible
materials or flammable gases or sources of heat. DO NOT USE in areas where
gasoline, paint or flammable materials are used or stored. Keep combustible
materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least
3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides
and rear. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any
manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become
blocked. Do not place the heater near a bed because objects such as pillows or
blankets can fall off the bed and be ignited by the heater. Do not insert or allow
foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an
electric shock, fire, or damage the heater.

WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Do not use with damaged cord or plug. Use with adequate electrical system that
is up to code. The supply cord has a polarized plug. As a safety feature this plug
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. To prevent electric shock, match wide
blade of plug to wide slot, fully insert plug. If the plug does not fit contact a
qualified electrician. Never use an extension cord. DO NOT attempt to defeat
this safety feature. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or
after heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Do not
operate heater with a broken heating element or ceramic cone or any visual
imperfections. For all repairs contact a qualified service dealer.
Do not operate heater with its ventilation obstructed.
PET OWNERS NOTE
The health of birds and some small pets are extremely sensitive to the fumes
given off during the initial use of many appliances. Although these fumes are not
harmful to humans, it is recommended that this heater not be used around birds
and small pets during its initial use until the manufacturing corrosion coatings
burn off.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
SETTING THERMOSTAT
Before initial use some assembly is required. Attach casters to heater body using
components provided as shown in Fig. 2.
1. Turn the heater (A) upside down. Remove the wing nut (E) from the straight tip of
each U-bolt (B). Hook one U-bolt under the heater base between the heater control
box and the next fin.
2. Align a pedal (D) with the U-bolt tips. Insert the bent tip through one of the pedal
bolt holes. Insert the straight tip through the other hole. Use the removed wing nut to
secure the straight tip to the pedal.
3. Hook the other U-bolt under the heater base between the last two fins. Attach
pedal in same manner as described in previous step.
4. Remove the nuts (C) preassembled to the casters (F). Insert the caster stems
through the caster holes in the pedals. Use the removed nuts to secure the
casters to the pedals. Turn the heater upright.
IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURES
After heater has been turned on and the area has reached the desired temperature,
slowly rotate the Thermostat Control counterclockwise until the heater shuts off (you
should hear a faint “click”). By leaving the thermostat at this setting the heater will
automatically maintain this area temperature. To maintain a lower temperature, rotate
the control further counterclockwise toward the minimum (-) position. To maintain a
higher temperature, rotate the control clockwise toward the maximum (+) position.
The power indicator light, located in the Power Switch, lights when the heater is
switched on to tell you that the heater has power. The heater is equipped with an
automatic overheat protection device located inside the body of the heater. If the
heater is covered, or if the heater gets too hot for any reason, the automatic overheat
protection device will turn the heater off. The unit must be reset to resume operation. To
reset the unit, turn both power switches to "O" (Off) and unplug the heater. Wait for 10
minutes for the heater to cool down. Plug the heater back in and restart. To prevent
further automatic shut-off, locate the heater far enough away from a wall or other
object to allow for sufficient airflow. Always place the heater on a smooth level surface.
The heater is also equipped with a safety tip-over switch to turn power off to the heater
when the heater tips over. To resume heater functions simply stand heater upright. With
tip over protection, the heater will only operate when placed upright on a level surface.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
HEATER OPERATION
CLEANING
Always operate the heater in the upright position following all instructions and
recommendations listed in this manual.
HEATER LOCATION
Place the heater in the area of the room that is coldest.
HEATER CONNECTION
Kenmore
Plug heater directly into 120 volt A.C. 60 Hz outlet. Be sure the
plug fits tightly in outlet. A loose connection may cause
overheating and damage to the plug or heater.
NOTE: To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater
into a circuit that is servicing other electrical needs.
CAUTION: Before cleaning the heater be sure to disconnect power cord and allow
the heater to cool completely.
The heater should be cleaned at least once a year to maintain proper performance.
Clean the outside surface with a damp cloth. Allow heater to dry completely before use.
Do not use harsh chemical or abrasive cleaners.
WARNING: To prevent personal injury or heater malfunction, NEVER immerse the
heater in water.
CAUTION: Do not operate the heater without the grill in place. Do not use the
heater if it has malfunctioned or become damaged in any way.

HEATER STARTUP
1. To start the heater, press one or both power switches (Fig. 3)
from the Off to the Low or Med heat mode positions. When
both switches are pressed the heater will operate in High heat
mode.
2. Turn the Thermostat control counterclockwise as far as it will
go to the maximum (+) position.
Do not attempt to open the heater to clean or otherwise service the inside. If the heater
does not function normally, call the following customer assistance number to arrange
for possible heater service and repair: 1-866-877-1889

- Keep original carton for long term storage of the heater.
- Unplug and wrap the cord around the cord storage plate when heater is not in use to
avoid damage to cord and plug.
- To roll the heater on its casters, place two or three fingertips beneath the top edge of
the Pull Handle (Fig. 1) and your thumb on top of the handle. Pull the heater forward.
The plastic handle won't become hot during heater use as will the metal fins and metal
portion of the control box.
CAUTION: DO NOT pull on cord to roll the heater from one location to another. DO
NOT place hands on heater fins to roll heater unless heater is completely cooled down

after use.

5. No coloque el calefactor en un pequeño y desnivelado, desigual o cualquier

6. Para un correcto funcionamiento, el calefactor se debe colocar en una

7. Desenchufe siempre el calefactor cuando no esté en uso.
8. No haga funcionar el calefactor con protectores de disco o cualquier
dispositivo de seguridad si se han removido.
9. No coloque el cordón eléctrico debajo de alfombras. No cubra el cable con
tapetes, alfombras, etc. Ponga el cable lejos de zonas transitadas donde no
pueda provocar tropezones.
10. Evite el uso de cables de extensión debido al riesgo de incendio. Si un cable
de extensión debe ser utilizado, el cable debe ser como mínimo de 14 AWG
y evaluar si es menor de 1875 W.
11. No inserte, ni permita que ningún objeto entre en ninguna abertura del
calefactor. Si lo hace, puede provocar descargas eléctricas y / o riesgo de
incendio.
12. Este producto es para uso residencial y de oficinas de interior solamente, no
para aplicaciones industriales, comerciales o de otro tipo. Si este
electrodoméstico se usa para fines que no sean privados de familia, esta

ADVERTENCIA: RIESGO DE DESCARGA
Use su calefactor en ambientes secos. Este calefactor no está diseñado para su

El calefactor tiene partes calientes y chispas en su interior. No debe utilizarse cerca
de materiales inflamables, gases o fuentes de calor. NO LO USE en áreas donde

posible incendio, mantenga los materiales combustibles, tales como muebles ,
almohadas, ropa de cama, papeles, ropas y cortinasalejados al menos 3 pies
(0,9 m) de la parte frontal y superior del calentador, y no bloquee las entradas o

ADVERTENCIA: RIESGO DE DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA
No intente usar el calefactor si éste presenta un cordón eléctrico o clavija dañada.
Utilizar con el sistema eléctrico adecuado. Este calefactor cuenta con un enchufe
polarizado. Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este enchufe está diseñado
para adaptarse a una toma de corriente polarizada de una sola manera. Para evitar
descargas eléctricas, haga que la patilla ancha del enchufe se corresponda con la
ranura ancha, totalmente insertada. Si el enchufe no encaja, comuníquese con un
electricista calificado. No utilice un cable de extensión. No trate de alterar esta
medida de seguridad. NO opere ningún calefactor con un cable o enchufe dañado
o después de un mal funcionamiento del calefactor, si se ha caído o dañado de
alguna manera. No haga funcionar el calefactor con una parte rota, cono cerámico
o las imperfecciones visuales. Contacte con un centro de servicio calificado para
todas las reparación. No opere el calefactor con una ventilación obstruida.

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
INSTRUCCIONES DE ENSEMBLADO
Adjunte ruedas al cuerpo del calefactor por usando los componentes como se muestra
en Fig. 2.
1. Coloque el calentador (A ) en posición invertida. Retire la tuerca de mariposa ( E) de
la punta de cada perno en U ( B ). Enganche un perno en U debajo de la base del
calefactor entre el panel de control y el siguiente fin.
2. Alinee un pedal ( D) con las puntas de los tornillos U. Inserte la punta a través del otro
agujero. Utilice la tuerca de mariposa eliminado para asegurar la punta al pedal.
3. Enganche el otro perno en U bajo de la base entre los dos últimos aletas. Adjunte
pedal de la misma manera como se describe en el paso anterior.
4. Retire las tuercas (C) preinstalados en las ruedas (F). Inserte los tallos a través de los
agujeros a las ruedas en los pedales. Utilice las tuercas retiradas para asegurar las
ruedas a los pedales. Coloque el calefactor en la posición vertical.
INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
SETTING TERMOSTATO
Una vez que el cuarto se encuentre en una temperatura agradable, gire lentamente el control
del termostato en sentido antihorario desde MAX hasta que se apaga (debe escuchar un "
clic " ) . El termostato mantendrá automáticamente la temperatura programada. Si desea
tener una temperatura baja, gire el termostato hacia la derecha hasta la posición MIN. Para
mantener en temperatura más alta, gire el termostato hacia la derecha hasta la posición
MAX (+).
PUNTOS DE SEGURIDAD
Siempre enciende la luz indicadora situado encima del panel de control cuando el calefactor/
ventilador funciona. Para evitar daños y peligro de sobrecalentamiento, su calefactor cuenta
con una medida de seguridad que corta la energía y hace que el calefactor se apague
hasta que éste se enfríe. Para encender de nuevo el aparato, coloque el interruptor ON/
OFF en la posición "O" y desconecte de la toma de corriente. Espere 10 minutos para que
se enfrie completamente. Coloque el enchufe en una toma de corriente y gire el interruptor
hasta la posición de operación. Para evitar apagado automático, coloque el calefactor con
la rejilla de entrada de aire (situado en la parte posterior de calentador) suficientemente
fuera de la pared u otro objeto permite el flujo de aire. Siempre ponga el calefactor en en
una superficie plana y nivelada. La unidad automaticamente se apagara, en caso de que
el calentador se reclinara o cayera. Con un interruptor de Seguridad en contra de
inclinaciones, el calefactor operará solamente cunado se coloca en la posición vertical sobre
una superficie plana.
CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
OPERACIÓN DE CALEFACTOR
LIMPIEZA
Siempre haga funcionar el calentador en la posición vertical siguiendo todas las
instrucciones y recomendaciones indicadas en este manual.
LOCACIÓN
Coloque este calefactor en la zona más frío de habitación.
CONEXIÓN
Kenmore
Coloque el enchufe en una toma de corriente de 120V 60 Hz.
Asegúrese de que el conector encaja correctamente. La conexión
floja puede causar recalentamiento y deformación del enchufe.
NOTA: Para evitar sobrecargar a otras necesidades eléctricas.
CAUCIÓN: Antes de limpiar el calefactor, asegúrese de desconectar el cable de
alimentación del toma corriente y permita que el calefactor se enfríe completamente.
Debe limpiar el calefactor al menos una vez al año para el buen funcionamiento. Limpie la
superficie exterior con un paño húmedo. Permita que el calefactor se seque por completo
antes de su uso. No uses limpiadores químicos abrasivos.
ADVERTENCIA: Para evitar lesiones personales o mal funcionamiento, NO sumerja el
calefactor en agua.
CAUCIÓN: No haga funcionar el calefactor sin la parrilla en su lugar . No opere el
calefactor con mal funcionamiento o se daña de ninguna manera.
REPARACIÓN

ENCENDIDO DE CALEFACTOR
1. Para encender el calefactor, presione uno o ambos
interruptores (Fig. 3) desde calor modos Off hasta Low o Medio.
Al oresionar dos interruptores, operará en modo con talto calor.
Gire el control del termostato hacia la izquierda por lo que irá a
la posición máxima ( + ) .
INTERRUPTOR DE POTENCIA
No intente abrir el calefactor para limpiar o revisar el interior el aparato. Si el calefactor
no funciona de forma adecuada, llame al siguiente número de servicio al cliente para
servicio y reparación: 1-866-877-1889.

- Guarde la caja original para el almacenamiento del calefactor.
- Desenchufe y enrolle el cable alrededor del organizador de cable cuando no esté en uso
para evitar daños en el cable y enchufe.
- Para rodar el calentador sobre sus ruedas, tire con dos o tres dedos por debajo del borde
superior de la manilla (Fig. 1) y el pulgar en el superior de la manilla. Tire el calentador hacia
adelante. El manilla plástica no estará caliente durante el uso del calentador al igual que la
parte de las aletas de metal y el panel de control.
CAUCIÓN: NO tire el cable para rodar el calentador de un lugar a otro. NO coloque las
manos en las aletas de calentador para rodar a menos que el calentador se haya enfriado
completamente.
