Læs denne brugsanvisning igennem (inkl. tips og advarsler), før apparatet installeres og tag es i brug. Det forebygger ulykker og sikrer, at apparatet bruges korrekt. For at undgå unød vendige fejl og uheld er det vigtigt at sikre, at alle, der bruger apparatet, er fuldt fortrolige med dets drift og sikkerhedsfunktioner. Gem denne vejledning og sørg for, at den følger med apparatet, hvis det bliver flyttet eller solgt, så alle der bruger apparatet er fortrolige med dets betjening og sikkerhed.

Sikkerhed for børn og udsatte personer

• Apparatet er ikke beregnet til at bruges af personer (herunder børn) med nedsat fysisk, sensorisk eller psykisk funktionsevne, eller som mangler den nødvendige erfaring eller vi den, med mindre den, der har ansvaret for deres sikkerhed, først har instrueret dem eller har kontrolleret, at de kan betjene det korrekt.

Hold øje med børn for at sikre, at de ikke leger med apparatet.

• Hold alle emballagedele væk fra børn. Der er fare for kvælning.

• Hvis du kasserer apparatet: Tag stikket ud af kontakten, klip netledningen af (så tæt på apparatet som muligt) og fjern døren, så børn ikke kan få elektrisk stød eller smække sig inde i apparatet under leg.

• Hvis dette apparat, der har magnetlås, erstatter et ældre apparat med fjederlås (lås med låsetunge) på døren eller i låget: Sørg for at ødelægge fjederlåsen på det gamle apparat, inden du kasserer det. Det sikrer, at det ikke kan blive en dødsfælde for et barn.

Generelt om sikkerhed

ADVARSEL

Sørg for, at der er frit gennemtræk gennem udluftninger, både i apparatets kabinet og i et evt. indbygningselement.

• Apparatet er beregnet til opbevaring af madvarer og/eller drikkevarer i en almindelig husholdning, som forklaret i denne brugsanvisning.

• Brug ikke mekaniske redskaber eller andre kunstige hjælpemidler til at fremskynde optø ningen.

• Brug ikke andre el-apparater (f.eks. ismaskiner) inde i køleudstyr, med mindre de er god kendt til formålet af producenten.

• Kølekredsløbet må ikke beskadiges.

• Apparatets kølekreds indeholder kølemidlet isobutan (R600a), en naturlig gas med høj biologisk nedbrydelighed. Det er dog brandfarligt.

Sørg for, at ingen af kølekredsens komponenter kan tage skade under transport og in stallation af apparatet.

Hvis kølekredsen skulle blive beskadiget:

– Luft grundigt ud i det lokale, hvor apparatet står

• Det er farligt at ændre apparatets specifikationer eller forsøge at ombygge det på nogen måde. Enhver skade på ledningen kan give kortslutning, brand og/eller elektrisk stød.

ADVARSEL

Enhver elektrisk komponent (netledning, stik, kompressor) skal udskiftes af et autoriseret serviceværksted eller en autoriseret montør for at undgå fare.

Netledningen må ikke forlænges.

Pas på, at stikket ikke bliver klemt eller beskadiget af apparatets bagpanel. Et klemt eller beskadiget stik kan blive overophedet og starte en brand.

Sørg for, at apparatets eltilslutning er let at komme til.

Træk ikke i elledningen.

Sæt ikke stikket i kontakten, hvis kontakten sidder løst. Fare for elektrisk stød eller brand.

Der må ikke tændes for apparatet, hvis lampedækslet ikke sidder på

den indvendi ge pære.

• Apparatet er tungt. Der skal udvises stor forsigtighed ved flytning af det.

• Rør ikke ved ting fra frostafdelingen med fugtige eller våde hænder. Det kan give hudaf skrabninger eller forfrysninger.

• Undgå at udsætte apparatet for direkte sollys i længere tid.

I dette apparat benyttes specialpærer, der er udvalgt alene til husholdningsappa rater. De er ikke egnet til oplysning i almindelige rum.

Daglig brug

• Sæt ikke en varm gryde på apparatets plastdele.

• Opbevar ikke brandfarlig gas og væske i apparatet, da de kan eksplodere.

• Sæt ikke maden direkte op mod udluftningen i apparatets bagvæg. 3)

• Dybfrostvarer må ikke nedfryses igen, når de har været optøet.

• Opbevar færdigpakkede dybfrostvarer som angivet på pakken.

• Følg nøje producentens angivelser vedr. opbevaring af produktet. Se de relevante vejled ninger.

• Sæt ikke drikkevarer med kulsyre ('brus') i frostrummet, da det skaber tryk i beholderen, så den kan eksplodere og beskadige apparatet.

• Ispinde kan give forfrysninger, hvis de spises lige fra fryseren.

Vedligeholdelse og rengøring

• Inden rengøring slukkes der for apparatet, og stikket tages ud af kontakten.

• Brug ikke metalgenstande til at rengøre apparatet.

• Brug ikke skarpe genstande til at skrabe rim af. Brug en plastikskraber.

• Efterse jævnlig afløbet i køleskabet for afrimningsvand. Rens afløbet efter behov. Hvis af løbet er blokeret, ophobes der vand i bunden af apparatet.

6 Betjeningspanel

Installation

Ved tilslutning til lysnet skal vejledningen i de pågældende afsnit nøje følges.

• Pak apparatet ud, og efterse det for skader. Tilslut ikke apparatet, hvis det er beskadiget.

Eventuelle skader på apparatet skal straks anmeldes til det sted, hvor det er købt. Gem i så fald emballagen.

• Det anbefales at vente mindst to timer med at tilslutte apparatet, så olien har tid til at løbe tilbage i kompressoren.

• Der skal være tilstrækkelig luftudskiftning rundt om apparatet. Ellers bliver det overop hedet. Følg installationsvejledningen for at sikre tilstrækkelig ventilation.

• Så vidt det overhovedet er muligt skal apparatets bagside stå op mod en væg, så man ikke kan komme til at røre eller hænge fast i varme dele (kompressor, kondensator), med risiko for at brænde sig.

• Apparatet må ikke stilles tæt på radiatorer eller komfurer.

• Sørg for, at det er muligt at komme til netstikket, når apparatet er installeret.

• Tilslut kun til drikkevandsledning (vandværksvand).

Service

• Alt el-arbejde, der kræves til vedligeholdelse af apparatet, skal udføres af en autoriseret el-installatør.

• Dette produkt må kun serviceres af et autoriseret serviceværksted, og der må kun bruges originale reservedele.

Miljøhensyn

Apparatet indeholder ikke gasser, der kan nedbryde ozonlaget, hverken i kølekreds eller iso leringsmaterialer. Apparatet må ikke bortskaffes sammen med husholdningsaffald og jord fyld. Isoleringsskummet indeholder brændbare gasser: Apparatet skal bortskaffes i henhold til gældende bestemmelser. Nærmere oplysninger fås hos kommunens tekniske forvaltning.

Undgå at beskadige køleenheden, især på bagsiden ved siden af varmeveksleren. De mate rialer i apparatet, der er mærket med symbolet , kan genvanvendes.

Sådan tændes apparatet

Gør følgende for at tænde for apparatet:

Sæt stikket i stikkontakten.

Tryk på knappen ON/OFF , hvis displayet er slukket.

Hvis "dEMo" vises i displayet, er apparatet i demonstrationstilstand. Se under "Når der opstår fejl ...".

Temperaturindikatoren viser den indstillede standardtemperatur.

Se under "Indstilling af temperatur" for at ændre temperaturen.

Sådan slukkes apparatet

Gør følgende for at slukke for apparatet:

Tryk på apparatets ON/OFF-knap i 5 sekunder.

Displayet slukkes.

Tag stikket ud af kontakten for at afbryde apparatet fra elnettet.

Indstilling af temperatur

Køleskabets temperatur kan indstilles ved at trykke på temperaturknappen.

Indstil standardtemperaturen:

• +5 °C i køleskabet

Temperaturindikatoren viser temperaturen.

Den indstillede temperatur vil blive nået inden for 24 timer.

8 Betjeningspanel

Den indstillede temperatur huskes efter et strømsvigt.

Minute Minder-funktionen

Minute Minder -funktionen benyttes til at indstille en lydalarm til den ønskede tid. Det er nyttigt f. eks. når en opskrift kræver, at en blanding køles af i en vis tid, eller hvis du har brug for en påmindelse om ikke at glemme, de flasker, du har lagt i fryseren til hurtig afkø ling.

Sådan slås funktionen til:

Tryk på knappen Mode, indtil det tilsvarende symbol vises i displayet.

Minute Minder -indikatoren blinker.

Timeren viser den indstillede værdi (30 minutter) i få sekunder.

Tryk på Timer-vælgeren for at ændre timerens indstilling fra 1 til 90 minutter.

Tryk på OK-knappen for at bekræfte.

Minute Minder -indikatoren vises.

Timeren begynder at blinke (min).

Ved nedtællingens afslutning blinker Minute Minder -indikatoren, og der høres en lydalarm:

Fjern drikkevarerne fra fryseren.

Tryk på OK -knappen for at slukke for lyden og afslutte funktionen.

Funktionen kan slås fra på et vilkårligt tidspunkt under nedtællingen:

COOLMATIC-funktion

Hvis det er nødvendigt at anbringe store mængder varme fødevarer i køleskabet, for eksem pel efter indkøb, anbefales det at aktivere COOLMATIC-funktionen for at afkøle varerne hur tigere og for at undgå at opvarme de andre fødevarer i køleskabet.

Funktionen FROSTMATIC bruges til hurtig nedfrysning af friske madvarer og hindrer samti dig opvarmning af allerede dybfrosne madvarer.

Sådan slås funktionen til:

Tryk på Mode-knappen, indtil det tilsvarende symbol vises i displayet.

FROSTMATIC-kontrollampen blinker.

Tryk på knappen OK for at bekræfte.

FROSTMATIC-kontrollampen vises.

Funktionen standser automatisk efter 52 timer.

Sådan slås funktionen fra, inden den slukkes automatisk:

Tryk på Mode-knappen, indtil FROSTMATIC-kontrollampen blinker.

Tryk på knappen OK for at bekræfte.

FROSTMATIC-kontrollampen slukkes.

Funktionen slås fra, når der vælges en anden temperatur på fryseren.

Alarm for åben dør

Der lyder en alarm, hvis døren står åben i mere end et par minutter. Alarmen for åben dør vises på følgende måde:

• Blinkende alarmindikator

• Akustisk alarm

Når forholdene igen er normale (døren er lukket), stopper alarmen.

Når alarmen lyder, kan den afbrydes ved at trykke på en vilkårlig knap.

Lampen slukkes efter 7 minutter med døren åben.

10 Ibrugtagning

IBRUGTAGNING

Indvendig rengøring

Inden apparatet tages i brug vaskes det indvendig (inkl. tilbehør) med lunkent vand tilsat neutral sæbe for at fjerne den typiske lugt af nyt apparat. Tør grundigt efter.

Brug ikke sulfosæbe eller skuremiddel. Det vil skade overfladen.

DAGLIG BRUG

Indfrysning af ferskvarer

Frostrummet er velegnet til nedfrysning af friske madvarer og til langtidsopbevaring af køb te frostvarer og dybfrossen mad.

Til nedfrysning af friske madvarer behøver mellemindstillingen ikke at ændres.

Men hvis maden skal indfryses hurtigere, drejes termostatknappen hen på en højere indstil ling for at få maksimal køling.

I så fald kan temperaturen i køleafdelingen komme under 0°C. Hvis det sker, sættes termo statknappen på en varmere indstilling.

Opbevaring af frosne madvarer

Når skabet tændes igen efter en længere periode, hvor det ikke har været anvendt, skal det køre i mindst 2 timer på højere indstillinger, inden der lægges madvarer ind.

Hvis madvarerne optøs ved et uheld (f.eks. som følge af strømsvigt), og strømafbrydelsen har varet længere end den angivne temperaturstigningstid under tekniske specifikationer, skal madvarerne enten spises eller tilberedes og derefter nedfryses igen (efter afkøling).

Optøning

Når dybfrostvarer eller nedfrosne madvarer skal bruges, kan de optøs i køleafdelingen eller ved stuetemperatur, afhængig af hvornår de skal bruges.

Små stykker kan endda tilberedes uden optøning, direkte fra fryseren: I så fald forlænges tilberedningstiden.

I henhold til gældende lov i dette land skal køleskabets nederste afdeling være forsynet med en særlig enhed (se tegningen), der viser den koldeste zone i denne.

Flytbare hylder

Køleskabets vægge har en række skinner, så hyl derne kan placeres efter ønske.

For at udnytte pladsen bedre kan de halve forreste hylder ligge over de bageste.

Flyt ikke glashylden over grøntsagsskuffen og fla skehylden. De sikrer korrekt luftcirkulation.

Placering af dørhylder

Hylderne i døren kan sættes i forskellig højde, så der er plads til madvarer af forskellig størrelse.

For at tilpasse hylderne skal du gøre følgende: træk gradvist hylden i pilenes retning, indtil hyl den er fri og sæt den derpå i den ønskede højde.

Modellen er udstyret med en variabel opbeva ringskasse, som er placeret under et hylderum i døren og kan skubbes til side.

12 Nyttige oplysninger og råd

NYTTIGE OPLYSNINGER OG RÅD

Normale driftslyde

• Undertiden kan der høres en svag gurglen eller boblen, når kølemidlet pumpes gennem spiralerne eller rørene. Det er normalt.

• Når kompressoren kører, pumpes kølemidlet rundt, og der kommer en snurrende og pul serende lyd fra kompressoren. Det er normalt.

• Varmeudvidelsen kan give pludselige knæklyde. Det er et naturligt og ufarligt fysisk fæ nomen. Det er normalt.

• Når kompressoren tænder og slukker kan der høres et svagt klik fra termostatknappen.

Det er normalt.

Energisparetips

• Åbn døren så lidt som muligt, og lad den ikke stå åben længere end højst nødvendigt.

• Hvis den omgivende temperatur er høj, termostatknappen står på det koldeste trin, og skabet er helt fyldt, kan kompressoren køre konstant, så der dannes rim eller is på for damperen. Hvis det sker, sættes knappen på en lavere indstilling, så den automatiske af rimning starter, og strømforbruget dermed falder.

Råd om køling af friske madvarer

Sådan holder maden sig bedst:

• Sæt ikke dampende varm mad eller drikke i køleskabet

• Læg låg på maden eller pak den ind, især hvis den lugter stærkt

• Placer maden, så luften kan cirkulere frit rundt om den

Råd om køling

Nyttige tip:

Kød (alle slags): Pakkes ind i polyætylenposer og lægges på glashylden over grøntsagsskuf fen.

Det er kun sikkert at opbevare kød på denne måde i 1-2 dage.

Tilberedt mad, pålæg, kolde retter og lignende: Bør pakkes ind og kan stilles på alle hylder.

Frugt og grønt: Bør rengøres grundigt og lægges i den/de særlige skuffe(r).

Smør og ost: Bør lægges i specielle lufttætte beholdere eller pakkes ind i alufolie eller poly -

ætylenposer, så luften holdes bedst muligt ude.

Mælkeflasker: Bør have låg på og opbevares i flaskehylden i døren.

Bananer, kartofler, løg og hvidløg behøver ikke at lægges i køleskab, med mindre de er pak ket ind.

Råd om frysning

Her er nogle vigtige tips om, hvordan du udnytter fryseafdelingen bedst muligt:

• Den maksimale indfrysningskapacitet pr. døgn. fremgår af typeskiltet;

• Indfrysningen tager 24 timer. I dette tidsrum bør der ikke lægges flere madvarer ind;

• Nedfrys kun 1. klasses madvarer, der er friske og grundigt rengjorte;

• Del maden op i små portioner, så den indfryses hurtigt og jævnt. Så kan du også hurtigt optø netop den mængde, du skal bruge;

• Pak maden ind i alufolie eller polyætylen, og sørg for, at indpakningen er lufttæt;

• Lad ikke friske, ikke-nedfrosne madvarer røre ved frostvarer, så temperaturen stiger i dem;

• Magre madvarer holder sig bedre og længere end fedtholdige; Salt nedsætter madens holdbarhed;

• Hvis sodavandsis spises direkte fra frostrummet, kan de give forfrysninger;

• Det er en god idé at mærke alle pakker med indfrysningsdato, så du har styr på holdbar heden.

Tips om opbevaring af frostvarer

For at få den største fornøjelse af dette skab, skal du:

• Sikre dig, at købte dybfrostvarer har været været korrekt opbevaret i forretningen;

• Sørge for at bringe frostvarer hjem hurtigst muligt og lægge dem i fryseren;

• Åbne døren så lidt som muligt, og ikke lade den stå åben længere end højst nødvendigt.

• Optøede madvarer nedbrydes meget hurtigt og kan ikke nedfryses igen.

• Overskrid ikke udløbsdatoen på pakken.

VEDLIGEHOLDELSE OG RENGØRING

BEMÆRK

Kobl apparatet fra strømforsyningen, før der udføres nogen som helst form for vedligehol delse.

Apparatets kølesystem indeholder klorbrinter; Service og påfyldning må derfor kun udføres af en autoriseret tekniker.

Regelmæssig rengøring

Apparatet skal jævnlig rengøres:

• vask det indvendigt, inkl. tilbehør, med lunkent vand tilsat neutral sæbe.

• efterse jævnlig dørpakningerne, og tør dem af, så de er rene og frie for belægninger.

• skyl, og tør grundigt af.

Undgå at trække i, flytte eller beskadige evt. rør og/eller ledninger i skabet.

Brug aldrig opvaskemiddel, skurepulver, stærkt parfumeret rengøringsmiddel eller vokspro dukter til indvendig rengøring af skabet. Det skader overfladen og efterlader kraftig lugt.

Undgå at beskadige kølesystemet.

Mange rengøringsmidler til køkkener indeholder kemikalier, der kan angribe og evt. beskadi ge de anvendte plastmaterialer i apparatet. Derfor anbefales det, at kabinettet udvendig kun rengøres med varmt vand tilsat lidt opvaskemiddel.

Sæt stikket i stikkontakten efter rengøringen.

14 Vedligeholdelse og rengøring

Afrimning af køleskabet

Under normal drift afrimes fordamperen i køleafdelingen automatisk, hver gang motorkom pressoren standser. Afrimningsvandet ledes ud gennem en rende og ned i en særlig behol der bag på apparatet (over motorkompressoren), hvor det fordamper.

Afløbet til afrimningsvand sidder midt i renden i køleafdelingen. Det skal jævnlig renses, så vandet ikke løber over og drypper ned på maden i skabet.

Brug den medfølgende special-flaskerenser, der sidder i afløbshullet ved leveringen.

Afrimning af fryser

Der vil altid dannes lidt rim på hylderne i frostrummet og rundt om øverste afdeling.

Fryseren skal afrimes, når laget af rim er 3-5 mm tykt.

Rimlag fjernes på følgende måde:

Sluk for apparatet.

Tag eventuelle madvarer ud, pak dem ind i flere lag avispapir, og læg dem et koldt sted.

Lad døren stå åben.

Når afrimningen er afsluttet, tørres skabet grundigt af indvendig, og proppen sættes i igen.

Tænd for apparatet.

Sæt termostatknappen på højeste trin, og lad apparatet stå på denne indstilling i totre timer.

Læg madvarerne på plads igen.

Brug aldrig skarpe metalgenstande til at skrabe rim af fordamperen. Det kan beskadige den.

Brug ikke mekaniske redskaber eller andre kunstige hjælpemidler til at fremskynde optønin gen, med mindre de er anbefalet af producenten. Hvis dybfrostvarernes temperatur er ste get under afrimningen, kan det forkorte deres holdbarhed.

Pause i brug

Tag følgende forholdsregler, når apparatet ikke skal bruges i længere tid:

Hvis der skal være tændt for skabet: Bed nogen se til det en gang imellem, så maden ikke bliver fordærvet, hvis der har været strømsvigt.

Inden fejlfinding skal stikket tages ud af kontakten.

Fejl, der ikke er nævnt i denne brugsanvisning, må kun afhjælpes af en autoriseret installa tør eller anden fagmand.

In the interest of your safety and to ensure the correct use, before installing and first using the appliance, read this user manual carefully, including its hints and warnings. To avoid unnecessary mistakes and accidents, it is important to ensure that all people using the ap pliance are thoroughly familiar with its operation and safety features. Save these instruc tions and make sure that they remain with the appliance if it is moved or sold, so that ev eryone using it through its life will be properly informed on appliance use and safety.

For the safety of life and property keep the precautions of these user's instructions as the manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by omission.

Children and vulnerable people safety

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physi cal, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person re sponsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Keep all packaging well away from children. There is risk of suffocation.

• If you are discarding the appliance pull the plug out of the socket, cut the connection cable (as close to the appliance as you can) and remove the door to prevent playing chil dren to suffer electric shock or to close themselves into it.

• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

• The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is contained within the refrigerant circuit of the appli ance, a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility, which is neverthe less flammable.

During transportation and installation of the appliance, be certain that none of the com ponents of the refrigerant circuit become damaged.

If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged:

– avoid open flames and sources of ignition

• It is dangerous to alter the specifications or modify this product in any way. Any damage to the cord may cause a short-circuit, fire and/or electric shock.

Any electrical component (power cord, plug, compressor) must be replaced by a certified service agent or qualified service personnel to avoid hazard.

Power cord must not be lengthened.

Make sure that the power plug is not squashed or damaged by the back of the ap pliance. A squashed or damaged power plug may overheat and cause a fire.

Make sure that you can come to the mains plug of the appliance.

Do not pull the mains cable.

If the power plug socket is loose, do not insert the power plug. There is a risk of electric shock or fire.

You must not operate the appliance without the lamp cover

of interior lighting.

• This appliance is heavy. Care should be taken when moving it.

• Do not remove nor touch items from the freezer compartment if your hands are damp/ wet, as this could cause skin abrasions or frost/freezer burns.

• Avoid prolonged exposure of the appliance to direct sunlight.

• Bulb lamps

used in this appliance are special purpose lamps selected for household ap pliances use only. They are not suitable for household room illumination.

Daily Use

• Do not put hot pot on the plastic parts in the appliance.

• Do not store flammable gas and liquid in the appliance, because they may explode.

• Do not place food products directly against the air outlet on the rear wall.

• Frozen food must not be re-frozen once it has been thawed out.

• Store pre-packed frozen food in accordance with the frozen food manufacturer's in structions.

• Appliance's manufacturers storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to. Refer to relevant instructions.

• Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer compartment as it creates pressure on the container, which may cause it to explode, resulting in damage to the appliance.

• Ice lollies can cause frost burns if consumed straight from the appliance.

Care and cleaning

• Before maintenance, switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

• Do not clean the appliance with metal objects.

• Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the appliance. Use a plastic scraper.

• Regularly examine the drain in the refrigerator for defrosted water. If necessary, clean the drain. If the drain is blocked, water will collect in the bottom of the appliance.

Installation

For electrical connection carefully follow the instructions given in specific paragraphs.

• Unpack the appliance and check if there are damages on it. Do not connect the appli ance if it is damaged. Report possible damages immediately to the place you bought it.

In that case retain packing.

• It is advisable to wait at least four hours before connecting the appliance to allow the oil to flow back in the compressor.

• Adequate air circulation should be around the appliance, lacking this leads to overheat ing. To achieve sufficient ventilation follow the instructions relevant to installation.

• Wherever possible the back of the product should be against a wall to avoid touching or catching warm parts (compressor, condenser) to prevent possible burn.

• The appliance must not be located close to radiators or cookers.

• Make sure that the mains plug is accessible after the installation of the appliance.

• Connect to potable water supply only.

Service

• Any electrical work required to do the servicing of the appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.

• This product must be serviced by an authorized Service Centre, and only genuine spare parts must be used.

Environment Protection

This appliance does not contain gasses which could damage the ozone layer, in either its refrigerant circuit or insulation materials. The appliance shall not be discarded together with the urban refuse and rubbish. The insulation foam contains flammable gases: the ap pliance shall be disposed according to the applicable regulations to obtain from your local authorities. Avoid damaging the cooling unit, especially at the rear near the heat exchang er. The materials used on this appliance marked by the symbol are recyclable.

Switching on

To switch on the appliance do these steps:

Connect the mains plug to the power socket.

Press the ON/OFF button if the display is off.

If "dEMo" appears on the display, the appliance is in demonstration mode. Refer to

"What to do if...".

The temperature indicators show the set default temperature.

To select a different set temperature refer to "Temperature regulation".

Switching off

To switch off the appliance do these steps:

Press the appliance ON/OFF button for 5 seconds.

The display switches off.

To disconnect the appliance from the power disconnect the mains plug from the pow er socket.

Temperature regulation

The set temperature of the fridge may be adjusted by pressing the temperature button.

Set default temperature:

• +5°C for the fridge

The temperature indicator shows the set temperature.

The set temperature will be reached within 24 hours.

After a power failure the set temperature remains stored.

Minute Minder function

The Minute Minder function is to be used to set an acoustic alarm at the preferred time, useful for example when a recipe requires to cool down a mixture for a certain lenght of time, or when a reminder is needed in order not to forget the bottles placed in the freezer for fast cooling.

To switch on the function:

Press the Mode button until the corresponding icon appears.

The Minute Minder indicator flashes.

The Timer shows the set value (30 minutes) for a few seconds.

Press the Timer regulator button to change the Timer set value from 1 to 90 minutes.

Press the OK button to confirm.

The Minute Minder indicator is shown.

The Timer start to flash (min).

At the end of the countdown the Minute Minder indicator flashes and an audible alarm sounds:

Remove any drinks contained in the freezer compartment.

Press OK button to switch off the sound and terminate the function.

It is possible to deactivate the function at any time during the countdown:

Press the Mode button until the Minute Minder indicator flashes.

Press the OK button to confirm.

The Minute Minder indicator goes off.

It is possible to change the time during the countdown and at the end by pressing the Tem perature colder button and the Temperature warmer button.

Child Lock function

To lock the buttons from unintentional operation select the Child Lock function.

To switch on the function:

Press the Mode button until the corresponding icon appears.

The Child Lock indicator flashes.

Press the OK button to confirm.

The Child Lock indicator is shown.

To switch off the function:

Press the Mode button until the Child Lock indicator flashes.

Press the OK button to confirm.

The Child Lock indicator goes off.

COOLMATIC function

If you need to insert a large amount of warm food, for example after doing the grocery shopping, we suggest activating the COOLMATIC function to chill the products more rapidly and to avoid warming the other food which is already in the refrigerator.

To switch on the function:

Press the Mode button until the corresponding icon appears.

The COOLMATIC indicator flashes.

Press the OK button to confirm.

The COOLMATIC indicator is shown.

The COOLMATIC function shuts off automatically after approximately 6 hours.

To switch off the function before its automatic end:

Press the Mode button until the COOLMATIC indicator flashes.

Press the OK button to confirm.

The COOLMATIC indicator goes off.

The function switches off by selecting a different fridge set temperature.

FROSTMATIC function

The FROSTMATIC function accelerates the freezing of fresh food and, at the same time, pro tects foodstuffs already stored from undesirable warming.

To switch on the function:

Press the Mode button until the corresponding icon appears.

The FROSTMATIC indicator flashes.

Press the OK button to confirm.

The FROSTMATIC indicator is shown.

This function stops automatically after 52 hours.

To switch off the function before its automatic end:

Press the Mode button until the FROSTMATIC indicator flashes.

Press the OK button to confirm.

The FROSTMATIC indicator goes off.

The function switches off by selecting a different freezer set temperature.

Door open alarm

An acoustic alarm will sound if the door is left open for a few minutes. The door open alarm conditions are indicated by:

• flashing Alarm indicator

• acoustic buzzer

When normal conditions are restored (door closed), the alarm will stop.

During the alarm, the buzzer can be switched off by pressing any button.

The lamp will turn off after 7 minutes with door open.

FIRST USE

Cleaning the interior

Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brandnew product, then dry thoroughly.

Do not use detergents or abrasive powders, as these will damage the finish.

DAILY USE

Freezing fresh food

The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food and storing frozen and deepfrozen food for a long time.

To freeze fresh foods it is not necessary to change the medium setting.

However, for a faster freezing operation, turn the temperature regulator toward higher set tings to obtain the maximum coldness.

In this condition, the refrigerator compartment temperature might drop below 0°C. If this occurs reset the temperature regulator to a warmer setting.

Storage of frozen food

When first starting-up or after a period out of use, before putting the products in the com partment let the appliance run at least 2 hours on the higher settings.

In the event of accidental defrosting, for example due to a power failure, if the power has been off for longer than the value shown in the technical characteristics chart under "rising time", the defrosted food must be consumed quickly or cooked immediately and then refrozen (after cooling).

Thawing

Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to being used, can be thawed in the refrigerator compart ment or at room temperature, depending on the time available for this operation.

Small pieces may even be cooked still frozen, directly from the freezer: in this case, cooking will take longer.

this appliance is sold in France.

In accordance with regulations valid in this country it must be provided with a special de vice (see figure) placed in the lower compartment of the fridge to indicate the coldest zone of it.

30 Daily use

Movable shelves

The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with a series of runners so that the shelves can be posi tioned as desired.

For better use of space, the front half-shelves can lie over the rear ones.

Do not move the glass shelf above the vegetable drawer and the bottle shelf to ensure correct air circulation.

Positioning the door shelves

To permit storage of food packages of various sizes, the door shelves can be placed at different heights.

To make these adjustments proceed as follows: gradually pull the shelf in the direction of the ar rows until it comes free, then reposition as re quired.

The model is equipped with a variable storage box which is fitted under a door shelf compartment and can be slide sideways.

HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS

Normal Operating Sounds

• You may hear a faint gurgling and a bubbling sound when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing. This is correct.

• When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being pumped around and you will hear a whirring sound and a pulsating noise from the compressor. This is correct.

• The thermic dilatation might cause a sudden cracking noise. It is natural, not dangerous physical phenomenon. This is correct.

• When the compressor switches on or switches off, you will hear a faint "click" of the temperature regulator. This is correct.

Hints for energy saving

• Do not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than absolutely necessary.

• If the ambient temperature is high and the Temperature Regulator is set to low tempera ture and the appliance is fully loaded, the compressor may run continuously, causing frost or ice on the evaporator. If this happens, set the Temperature Regulator toward warmer settings to allow automatic defrosting and so a saving in electricity consump tion.

Hints for fresh food refrigeration

To obtain the best performance:

• do not store warm food or evaporating liquids in the refrigerator

• do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavour

• position food so that air can circulate freely around it

Hints for refrigeration

Useful hints:

Meat (all types) : wrap in polythene bags and place on the glass shelf above the vegetable drawer.

For safety, store in this way only one or two days at the most.

Cooked foods, cold dishes, etc..: these should be covered and may be placed on any shelf.

Fruit and vegetables: these should be thoroughly cleaned and placed in the special draw er(s) provided.

Butter and cheese: these should be placed in special airtight containers or wrapped in alu minium foil or polythene bags to exclude as much air as possible.

Milk bottles: these should have a cap and should be stored in the bottle rack on the door.

Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic, if not packed, must not be kept in the refrigerator.

Hints for freezing

To help you make the most of the freezing process, here are some important hints:

• the maximum quantity of food which can be frozen in 24 hrs. is shown on the rating plate;

• the freezing process takes 24 hours. No further food to be frozen should be added during this period;

• only freeze top quality, fresh and thoroughly cleaned, foodstuffs;

• prepare food in small portions to enable it to be rapidly and completely frozen and to make it possible subsequently to thaw only the quantity required;

• wrap up the food in aluminium foil or polythene and make sure that the packages are airtight;

• do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to touch food which is already frozen, thus avoiding a rise in temperature of the latter;

• lean foods store better and longer than fatty ones; salt reduces the storage life of food;

• water ices, if consumed immediately after removal from the freezer compartment, can possibly cause the skin to be freeze burnt;

• it is advisable to show the freezing in date on each individual pack to enable you to keep tab of the storage time.

Hints for storage of frozen food

To obtain the best performance from this appliance, you should:

• make sure that the commercially frozen foodstuffs were adequately stored by the retail er;

• be sure that frozen foodstuffs are transferred from the foodstore to the freezer in the shortest possible time;

• not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than absolutely necessary.

• Once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly and cannot be refrozen.

• Do not exceed the storage period indicated by the food manufacturer.

CARE AND CLEANING

CAUTION!

Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance operation.

This appliance contains hydrocarbons in its cooling unit; maintenance and recharging must therefore only be carried out by authorized technicians.

Periodic cleaning

The equipment has to be cleaned regularly:

• clean the inside and accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap.

• regularly check the door seals and wipe clean to ensure they are clean and free from debris.

• rinse and dry thoroughly.

Do not pull, move or damage any pipes and/or cables inside the cabinet.

Never use detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products or wax polishes to clean the interior as this will damage the surface and leave a strong odour.

Take care of not to damage the cooling system.

Many proprietary kitchen surface cleaners contain chemicals that can attack/damage the plastics used in this appliance. For this reason it is recommended that the outer casing of this appliance is only cleaned with warm water with a little washing-up liquid added.

After cleaning, reconnect the equipment to the mains supply.

Defrosting of the refrigerator

Frost is automatically eliminated from the evaporator of the refrigerator compartment ev ery time the motor compressor stops, during normal use. The defrost water drains out through a trough into a special container at the back of the appliance, over the motor com pressor, where it evaporates.

It is important to periodically clean the defrost water drain hole in the middle of the refrigerator compartment channel to prevent the water over flowing and dripping onto the food inside. Use the special cleaner provided, which you will find already inserted into the drain hole.

Defrosting the freezer

A certain amount of frost will always form on the freezer shelves and around the top com partment.

Defrost the freezer when the frost layer reaches a thickness of about 3-5 mm.

To remove the frost, do these steps:

Switch off the appliance.

Remove any stored food, wrap it in several layers of newspaper and put it in a cool place.

Leave the door open.

When defrosting is completed, dry the interior thoroughly and refit the plug.

Switch on the appliance.

Set the temperature regulator to obtain the maximum coldness and run the appliance for two or three hours using this setting.

Reload the previously removed food into the compartment.

34 What to do if…

Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost from the evaporator as you could damage it.

Do not use a mechanical device or any artificial means to speed up the thawing process other than those recommended by the manufacturer. A temperature rise of the frozen food packs, during defrosting, may shorten their safe storage life.

Periods of non-operation

When the appliance is not in use for long periods, take the following precautions:

• disconnect the appliance from electricity supply

• remove all food

• defrost 10)

and clean the appliance and all accessories

• leave the door/doors ajar to prevent unpleasant smells.

If the cabinet will be kept on, ask somebody to check it once in a while to prevent the food inside from spoiling in case of a power failure.

Warning signal

The warning signals of the control and signalling system of the appliance are displayed on the Visual Display.

The system will give out a signal if:

• An error has occurred in the operation of the appliance. In case the electronic system of the appliance cannot identify the real temperature a sign will appear on the tem perature display.

• Until the staff of the customer service arrive at the spot and solve the problem, the appli ance will continue operating with the help of a spare program.

Replacing the lamp

The appliance is equipped with a longlife LED interior light.

Closing the door

Per evitare errori e incidenti, è importante garantire che tutte le persone che utilizza no l'apparecchio ne conoscano il funzionamento e le caratteristiche di sicurezza. Conservare queste istruzioni e accertarsi che rimangano unite all'apparecchio in caso di vendita o tra sloco, in modo che chiunque lo utilizzi sia correttamente informato sull'uso e sulle norme di sicurezza.

Norme di sicurezza generali

AVVERTENZA

Verificare che le aperture di ventilazione, sia sull'apparecchiatura che nella struttura da in casso, siano libere da ostruzioni.

• L'apparecchiatura è progettata per la conservazione domestica di alimenti e/o bevande nelle modalità descritte nelle presenti istruzioni.

• Non utilizzare dispositivi meccanici o altri mezzi artificiali per accelerare lo sbrinamento.

• Non utilizzare altre apparecchiature elettriche (per esempio gelatiere) all'interno del fri gorifero, salvo quelle approvate per tale scopo dal produttore.

• Non danneggiare il circuito refrigerante.

• Il circuito refrigerante dell'apparecchiatura contiene isobutano (R600a), un gas naturale con un elevato livello di compatibilità ambientale che, tuttavia, è infiammabile.

Durante il trasporto e l'installazione dell'apparecchiatura, assicurarsi che nessuno dei componenti del circuito refrigerante venga danneggiato.

In caso di danneggiamento del circuito refrigerante:

– Evitare fiamme libere e scintille

– Aerare bene il locale in cui si trova l'apparecchiatura

• È pericoloso cambiare le specifiche o modificare il prodotto in qualunque modo. Un dan neggiamento del cavo potrebbe provocare cortocircuiti, incendi e/o scosse elettriche.

AVVERTENZA

Tutti i componenti elettrici (cavo di alimentazione, spina, compressore) devono essere sosti tuiti da un tecnico certificato o da personale d'assistenza qualificato al fine di evitare di correre rischi.

Non collegare prolunghe al cavo di alimentazione.

Evitare che il lato posteriore dell'apparecchiatura possa schiacciare o danneggiare la spina, causandone il surriscaldamento con un conseguente rischio di incendio.

La spina dell'apparecchiatura deve trovarsi in una posizione accessibile.

Non tirare il cavo di alimentazione.

Se la presa elettrica non è perfettamente stabile, non inserire la spina. Il collega mento potrebbe provocare scosse elettriche o creare un rischio di incendio.

Uso quotidiano

• Non collocare gas e liquidi infiammabili nell'apparecchio, perché potrebbero esplodere.

• Non collocare gli alimenti direttamente contro l'uscita dell'aria nella parete posteriore.

• Gli alimenti congelati non devono essere ricongelati una volta scongelati.

• Riporre gli alimenti surgelati preconfezionati secondo le istruzioni del produttore dell'ali mento surgelato.

• Osservare rigorosamente i consigli per la conservazione degli alimenti del produttore del l'apparecchio. Vedere le relative istruzioni.

• Non collocare bevande gassate o frizzanti nello scomparto congelatore perché creano pressione sul recipiente che può esplodere danneggiando l'apparecchio.

• I ghiaccioli possono provocare bruciature da gelo se consumati immediatamente dopo averli tolti dall'apparecchio.

44 Informazioni per la sicurezza

Pulizia e cura

• Prima della manutenzione, spegnere l'apparecchio e staccare la spina dalla presa.

• Non pulire l'apparecchio con oggetti metallici.

• Non usare oggetti appuntiti per rimuovere la brina dall'apparecchio. Usare un raschietto di plastica.

• Esaminare regolarmente il foro di scarico dell'acqua di sbrinamento nel frigorifero. Se ne cessario, pulirlo. Se il foro è otturato, l'acqua si raccoglie sul fondo dell'apparecchio.

Installazione

Per il collegamento elettrico, seguire attentamente le istruzioni dei paragrafi corrispondenti.

• Disimballare l'apparecchio e assicurarsi che non presenti danni. Non collegare l'apparec chio se è danneggiato. Segnalare immediatamente gli eventuali danni al negozio in cui è stato acquistato. In questo caso conservare l'imballaggio.

• Si consiglia di attendere almeno due ore prima di collegare l'apparecchio per consentire all'olio di arrivare nel compressore.

• Attorno all'apparecchio vi deve essere un'adeguata circolazione dell'aria, altrimenti si può surriscaldare. Per ottenere una ventilazione sufficiente seguire le istruzioni di installazio ne.

• Se possibile il retro dell'apparecchio dovrebbe essere posizionato contro una parete per evitare di toccare le parti calde o di rimanervi impigliati (compressore, condensatore), evitando così possibili scottature.

• L'apparecchio non deve essere posto vicino a radiatori o piani di cottura a gas.

• Installare l'apparecchio in modo che la presa rimanga accessibile.

• Per il collegamento idrico, usare solo sorgenti d'acqua potabile.

Assistenza tecnica

• Gli interventi elettrici sull'apparecchiatura devono essere eseguiti esclusivamente da elet tricisti qualificati o da personale competente.

• Gli interventi di assistenza devono essere eseguiti esclusivamente da tecnici autorizzati e utilizzando solo ricambi originali.

Tutela ambientale

Questo apparecchio non contiene gas che potrebbero danneggiare lo strato di ozono nel circuito refrigerante o nei materiali isolanti. L'apparecchio non deve essere smaltito assieme ai rifiuti urbani e alla spazzatura. La schiuma dell'isolamento contiene gas infiammabili: lo smaltimento dell'apparecchio va eseguito secondo le prescrizioni vigenti da richiedere alle autorità locali. Evitare di danneggiare il gruppo refrigerante, specialmente nella parte po steriore vicino allo scambiatore di calore. I materiali usati su questo apparecchio contrasse gnati dal simbolo sono riciclabili.

Accensione

Per accendere l'apparecchiatura procedere come segue:

Inserire la spina nella presa di alimentazione.

Premere il tasto ON/OFF se il display è spento.

Se sul display appare la scritta "dEMO", l'apparecchiatura si trova in modalità dimostra zione. Fare riferimento al capitolo "Cosa fare se...".

Gli indicatori di temperatura visualizzano la temperatura impostata predefinita.

Per selezionare una temperatura diversa, consultare la sezione "Regolazione della tempera tura".

Spegnimento

Per spegnere l'apparecchiatura, procedere come segue:

Premere il tasto ON/OFF per 5 secondi.

Il display si spegne.

Per scollegare l’apparecchiatura dalla corrente elettrica, staccare la spina dalla presa di alimentazione.

Regolazione della temperatura

È possibile regolare la temperatura impostata del frigorifero, premendo il tasto temperatura.

Impostare la temperatura predefinita:

• +5°C per il frigorifero

Gli indicatori della temperatura visualizzano la temperatura impostata.

La temperatura impostata verrà raggiunta entro 24 ore.

Dopo un'interruzione di corrente la temperatura impostata rimane in memoria.

Funzione Minute Minder

La Minute Minder funzione deve essere usata per impostare un segnale acustico in un pre ciso momento, utile per esempio quando una pietanza richiede il raffreddamento di alimen ti misti per un certo periodo di tempo o quando è necessario un pro-memoria per non di menticare le bottiglie messe in frigorifero per un raffreddamento rapido.

Per attivare la funzione:

Premere il tasto Mode finché non appare l'icona corrispondente.

L'indicatore Minute Minder lampeggia.

Il Timer visualizza il valore impostato (30 minuti) per alcuni secondi.

Premere il tasto Regolatore timer per modificare il valore impostato da 1 a 90 minuti.

Premere il tasto OK per confermare.

La spia Minute Minder viene visualizzata.

Il Timer inizia a lampeggiare (min).

Al termine del conto alla rovescia la spia Minute Minder lampeggia e viene emesso un se gnale acustico:

Estrarre le bevande dal vano congelatore.

Premere il tasto OK per spegnere il segnale acustico e porre fine alla funzione.

È possibile disattivare la funzione in qualsiasi momento durante il conto alla rovescia:

Premere il tasto Mode fino a quando la spia Minute Minder lampeggia.

Premere il tasto OK per confermare.

La spia Minute Minder si spegne.

È possibile modificare l'ora in qualsiasi momento e prima della fine premendo il tasto Raf freddamento Temperatura ed il tasto Riscaldamento Temperatura.

Funzione Sicurezza Bambini

Per evitare che i tasti vengano premuti accidentalmente, selezionare la funzione Sicurezza

Bambini.

L'indicatore Sicurezza Bambini lampeggia.

Premere il tasto OK per confermare.

Viene visualizzato l'indicatore Sicurezza Bambini.

Per disattivare la funzione:

Premere il tasto Mode fino a quando l'indicatore Sicurezza Bambini non lampeggia.

Premere il tasto OK per confermare.

L'indicatore Sicurezza Bambini si spegne.

FunzioneCOOLMATIC

Se occorre inserire una grande quantità di alimenti nel frigorifero, per esempio al ritorno dalla spesa, è consigliabile attivare la funzione COOLMATIC per raffreddare più rapidamente gli alimenti introdotti nel frigorifero e non intiepidire i cibi già presenti al suo interno.

Per attivare la funzione:

Premere il tasto Mode finché non appare l'icona corrispondente.

L'indicatore COOLMATIC lampeggia.

Premere il tasto OK per confermare.

La spia COOLMATIC viene visualizzata.

La funzione COOLMATIC si disattiva automaticamente dopo circa 6 ore.

Per disattivare la funzione prima dello spegnimento automatico:

Premere il tasto Mode fino a quando l'indicatore COOLMATIC lampeggia.

Premere il tasto OK per confermare.

La spia COOLMATIC si spegne.

La funzione si disattiva selezionando un'impostazione di temperatura per il frigorifero di versa.

funzione FROSTMATIC

La funzione FROSTMATIC accelera il congelamento di alimenti freschi e, al tempo stesso, protegge gli alimenti già conservati da riscaldamenti indesiderati.

Per attivare la funzione:

Premere il tasto Mode finché non appare l'icona corrispondente.

L'indicatore FROSTMATIC lampeggia.

Premere il tasto OK per confermare.

La spia FROSTMATIC viene visualizzata.

Questa funzione si arresta automaticamente dopo 52 ore.

Per disattivare la funzione prima dello spegnimento automatico:

Premere il tasto Mode fino a quando la spia FROSTMATIC lampeggia.

Premere il tasto OK per confermare.

La spia FROSTMATIC si spegne.

La funzione si disattiva selezionando un'impostazione di temperatura per il congelatore di versa.

48 Primo utilizzo

Allarme porta aperta

Se la porta è lasciata aperta per alcuni minuti, viene emesso un segnale acustico. Le condi zioni di allarme della porta aperta sono indicate da:

• indicatore allarme lampeggiante

• segnale acustico

Al ripristino delle condizioni normali (porta chiusa), l'allarme si interrompe.

Durante l'allarme, il segnale acustico può essere disattivato premendo qualsiasi tasto.

La luce si spegne dopo 7 minuti con la porta aperta.

PRIMO UTILIZZO

Pulizia dell'interno

Prima di utilizzare l'apparecchio per la prima volta, lavare l'interno e gli accessori interni con acqua tiepida e un po' di sapone neutro in modo a togliere il tipico odore dei prodotti nuovi, quindi asciugare accuratamente.

Non usare detergenti corrosivi o polveri abrasive che danneggiano le finiture.

UTILIZZO QUOTIDIANO

Congelazione dei cibi freschi

Il vano congelatore è adatto alla congelazione di cibi freschi e alla conservazione a lungo termine di cibi congelati e surgelati.

Per congelare cibi freschi non è necessario cambiare la regolazione media.

Tuttavia, per un'operazione di congelamento più rapida, ruotare il termostato verso una re golazione più alta per ottenere il massimo raffreddamento.

In questa condizione la temperatura del vano frigorifero può scendere sotto 0°C. In questo caso riportare il termostato verso una regolazione più calda.

Conservazione dei surgelati

Al primo avvio o dopo un periodo di non utilizzo, lasciare in funzione l'apparecchiatura per almeno 2 ore con una regolazione alta prima di introdurre gli alimenti.

Se si verifica un'interruzione della corrente elettrica di durata superiore al "tempo di salita" indicato nella tabella dei dati tecnici, il cibo scongelato deve essere consumato rapidamente o cucinato immediatamente e quindi ricongelato (dopo il raffreddamento).

Scongelamento

Prima dell'utilizzo, i cibi surgelati o congelati possono essere scongelati nel vano frigorifero o a temperatura ambiente, in funzione del tempo disponibile per questa operazione.

I pezzi piccoli possono addirittura essere cucinati ancora congelati, direttamente dal conge latore: in questo caso la cottura durerà più a lungo.

Per rispettare la normativa vigente in questo paese, essa deve essere dotata di un particola re dispositivo, posto nella parte bassa della cella frigo (vedi figura) per segnalare la zona piu' fredda del vano.

Ripiani mobili

Le guide presenti sulle pareti del frigorifero per mettono di posizionare i ripiani a diverse altezze.

Per un migliore sfruttamento dello spazio, i semi ripiani anteriori possono essere collocati sopra a quelli posteriori.

Non spostare il ripiano di vetro sopra il cassetto delle verdure e il ripiano delle bottiglie per garan tire la corretta circolazione dell'aria.

Posizionamento dei ripiani della porta

Per facilitare l'introduzione di alimenti di diverse dimensioni, i ripiani della porta possono essere posizionati ad altezze differenti.

Per regolare l'altezza dei ripiani, procedere come segue: tirare delicatamente il ripiano nella direzione indi cata dalle frecce fino a sganciarlo, quindi riposi zionarlo dove necessario.

Il modello è dotato di un contenitore variabile per la conservazione, applicato sotto un ripiano della porta, che è possibile far scorrere lateralmente.

CONSIGLI E SUGGERIMENTI UTILI

Rumori normali durante il funzionamento

• Quando il refrigerante viene pompato attraverso le bobine o le tubazioni si può sentire un fievole gorgoglio e un borbottio. Non si tratta di un'anomalia.

• Quando il compressore è in funzione, viene pompato il refrigerante e si può sentire un ronzio e un rumore pulsante dal compressore. Non si tratta di un'anomalia.

• Quando il compressore si accende o si spegne, si sente un lieve scatto del regolatore della temperatura. Non si tratta di un'anomalia.

Consigli per il risparmio energetico

• Non aprire frequentemente la porta e non lasciarla aperta più di quanto assolutamente necessario.

• Se la temperatura ambiente è elevata, il termostato è impostato su una regolazione alta e l'apparecchio è a pieno carico, il compressore può funzionare in continuo causando la formazione di brina o ghiaccio sull'evaporatore. In questo caso, ruotare il termostato su una regolazione più bassa per consentire lo scongelamento automatico risparmiando co sì energia.

Consigli per la refrigerazione di cibi freschi

Per ottenere i migliori risultati:

• non riporre nel frigorifero cibi caldi o liquidi in fase di evaporazione

• coprire o avvolgere il cibo, in particolare se emana un odore forte

• posizionare il cibo in modo che l'aria possa circolare liberamente attorno ad esso

Consigli per la refrigerazione

Consigli utili:

Carne (tutti i tipi): avvolgerla in sacchetti di politene e collocarla sul ripiano di vetro sopra il cassetto delle verdure.

Per motivi di sicurezza, conservarla in queste condizioni solo per uno o due giorni al massi mo.

Cibi cucinati, piatti freddi ecc..: dovrebbero essere coperti e possono essere collocati su qualsiasi ripiano.

Frutta e verdura: dovrebbero essere pulite accuratamente e collocate nell'apposito/i casset to/i speciale/i.

Burro e formaggio: dovrebbero essere posti in contenitori ermetici speciali o avvolti in pelli cole di alluminio o sacchetti di politene per escludere per quanto possibile l'aria.

Bottiglie di latte: dovrebbero essere tappate e conservate nell'apposito ripiano sulla porta.

Non conservare nel frigorifero banane, patate, cipolle o aglio se non sono confezionati.

Consigli per il congelamento

Per un processo di congelamento ottimale, ecco alcuni consigli importanti:

• la quantità massima di cibo che può essere congelata in 24 h è riportata sulla targhetta;

• il processo di congelamento dura 24 ore. In questo periodo non aggiungere altro cibo da congelare;

• congelare solo alimenti freschi, di ottima qualità e accuratamente puliti;

• preparare il cibo in piccole porzioni per consentire un congelamento rapido e completo e per scongelare in seguito solo la quantità necessaria;

• avvolgere il cibo in pellicole di alluminio o in politene e verificare che i pacchetti siano ermetici;

• non lasciare che cibo fresco non congelato entri in contatto con quello già congelato, per evitare un aumento della temperatura in quest'ultimo;

• i cibi magri si conservano meglio e più a lungo di quelli grassi; il sale riduce il periodo di conservazione del cibo;

• i ghiaccioli, se consumati immediatamente dopo la rimozione dal vano congelatore, pos sono causare ustioni da congelamento della pelle;

• si consiglia di riportare la data di congelamento su ogni singolo pacchetto per riuscire a tenere traccia del tempo di conservazione;

Consigli per la conservazione dei surgelati

Per ottenere i migliori risultati con questo apparecchio:

• accertare che i cibi congelati commercialmente siano adeguatamente conservati dal ri venditore;

• fare in modo che i cibi congelati siano trasferiti dal negozio al congelatore nel più breve tempo possibile;

• non aprire la porta frequentemente o lasciarla aperta più del tempo strettamente neces sario.

• Una volta scongelato, il cibo si deteriora rapidamente e non può essere ricongelato.

• Non superare il periodo di conservazione indicato dal produttore.

PULIZIA E CURA

ATTENZIONE

Staccare la spina dell'apparecchio prima di eseguire lavori di manutenzione.

Questo apparecchio contiene idrocarburi nell'unità di raffreddamento; la manutenzione e la ricarica devono pertanto essere effettuate esclusivamente da tecnici autorizzati.

Pulizia periodica

L'apparecchio deve essere pulito regolarmente:

• lavare l'interno e gli accessori con acqua tiepida e sapone neutro.

• ispezionare regolarmente le guarnizioni delo sportello ed eliminare con un panno umido tracce di sporco e residui.

• risciacquare e asciugare accuratamente.

Evitare di tirare, spostare o danneggiare tubi e/o cavi all'interno dell'apparecchio.

Per la pulizia delle parti interne, non usare mai detergenti, polveri abrasive, prodotti con forti profumazioni o cere lucidanti, che potrebbero danneggiare la superficie e lasciare un odore intenso.

Prestare attenzione a non danneggiare il sistema refrigerante.

Molti detergenti per cucine di marca contengono sostanze chimiche in grado di attaccare/ danneggiare la plastica impiegata in questo apparecchio. Per questo motivo si raccomanda di pulire l'involucro esterno dell'apparecchio solo con acqua calda con un po' di liquido de tergente.

Dopo la pulizia, ricollegare l'apparecchio alla rete di alimentazione.

Sbrinamento del vano frigorifero

Durante l'uso normale, la brina viene eliminata automaticamente dall'evaporatore del vano frigorifero ogni volta che il motocompressore si arresta. L'acqua di sbrinamento giunge at traverso un condotto in un apposito recipiente posto sul retro dell'apparecchio, sopra il mo tocompressore, dove evapora.

È importante pulire periodicamente il foro di sca rico dell'acqua di sbrinamento, situato al centro del canale sulla parete posteriore, per evitare che l'acqua fuoriesca sugli alimenti. Usare l'apposito utensile già inserito nel foro di scarico.

Sbrinamento del congelatore

Una certa quantità di brina si formerà sempre sui ripiani del congelatore e attorno allo scomparto superiore.

Sbrinare il congelatore quando lo strato di brina raggiunge uno spessore di ca. 3-5 mm.

Per rimuovere la brina, seguire le istruzioni sottostanti:

Spegnere l'apparecchio.

Rimuovere il cibo eventualmente conservato, avvolgendolo in diversi strati di carta di giornale e collocandolo in un luogo fresco.

Lasciare la porta aperta.

Una volta completato lo sbrinamento, asciugare accuratamente l'interno e reinserire la spina.

Accendere l'apparecchio.

Regolare il termostato sul raffreddamento massimo e fare funzionare l'apparecchio con questa regolazione per due o tre ore.

Ricaricare nel vano il cibo precedentemente rimosso.

Non usare utensili metallici appuntiti per rimuovere la brina dall'evaporatore per non dan neggiarlo. Non usare dispositivi elettrici o altri mezzi artificiali per accelerare il processo di scongelamento diversi da quelli raccomandati dal fabbricante. Un aumento di temperatura dei pacchetti di cibo congelato durante lo sbrinamento può ridurre la loro durata di conser vazione.

Periodi di inutilizzo

Quando l'apparecchio non è utilizzato per lunghi periodi, adottare le seguenti precauzioni:

• scollegare l'apparecchio dalla rete elettrica

• rimuovere tutto il cibo

• sbrinare 15)

e pulire l'apparecchio e tutti gli accessori

• lasciare la/e porta/e socchiusa/e per evitare odori sgradevoli.

Se l'apparecchio rimane acceso, chiedere a qualcuno di controllare ogni tanto per evitare che il cibo contenuto marcisca in caso di interruzione dell'alimentazione elettrica.

Instrucciones generales de seguridad

– mantenga el aparato alejado de las llamas y de cualquier fuente de encendido

– ventile bien la habitación en la que se encuentra el aparato

• Es peligroso alterar las especificaciones o modificar este producto en modo alguno. Cual quier daño en el cable de alimentación puede provocar un cortocircuito, un incendio o una descarga eléctrica.

Uso diario

• No coloque recipientes calientes sobre las piezas plásticas del aparato.

• No almacene gas ni líquido inflamable en el aparato, ya que podrían estallar.

• No coloque alimentos directamente contra la salida de aire de la pared posterior.

• Los alimentos que se descongelen no deben volver a congelarse.

• Guarde los alimentos congelados, que se adquieren ya envasados, siguiendo las instruc ciones del fabricante.

• Se deben seguir estrictamente las recomendaciones del fabricante del aparato sobre el almacenamiento. Consulte las instrucciones correspondientes.

• No coloque bebidas carbonatadas o con gas en el congelador, ya que se genera presión en el recipiente, que podría estallar y dañar el aparato.

• Si se consumen polos helados retirados directamente del aparato, se pueden sufrir que maduras causadas por el hielo.

64 Información sobre seguridad

Cuidado y limpieza

• Antes de realizar tareas de mantenimiento, apague el aparato y desconecte el enchufe de la toma de red.

• No limpie el aparato con objetos metálicos.

• No utilice objetos afilados para eliminar el hielo del aparato. Utilice un raspador plástico.

• Inspeccione habitualmente el desagüe del agua descongelada del frigorífico. Si es nece sario, limpie el desagüe. Si el desagüe se bloquea, el agua se acumulará en la base del aparato.

Instalación

Para realizar la conexión eléctrica, siga atentamente las instrucciones de los párrafos co rrespondientes.

• Desembale el aparato y compruebe que no tiene daños. No conecte el aparato si está dañado. Informe de los posibles daños de inmediato a la tienda donde lo adquirió. En ese caso, conserve el material de embalaje.

• Es recomendable esperar al menos dos horas antes de conectar el aparato, para permitir que el aceite regrese al compresor.

• El aparato debe contar con circulación de aire adecuada alrededor, ya que de lo contrario se produce recalentamiento. Para conseguir una ventilación suficiente, siga las instruc ciones correspondientes a la instalación.

• Siempre que sea posible, la parte posterior del producto debe estar contra una pared, pa ra evitar que se toquen las partes calientes (compresor, condensador) y se produzcan quemaduras.

• El aparato no debe colocarse cerca de radiadores ni de hornillas de cocina.

• Asegúrese de que es posible acceder al enchufe después de instalar el electrodoméstico.

• Realice la conexión sólo con el suministro de agua potable. 19)

• Un electricista homologado deberá realizar las tareas que se requieran para ejecutar el servicio o mantenimiento de este electrodoméstico.

Protección del medio ambiente

La función Minute Minder se utiliza para ajustar una alarma acústica a la hora deseada y es

útil, por ejemplo, para recetas que precisan el enfriamiento de una mezcla durante un tiem po determinado, o cuando se necesita un recordatorio para no olvidar que se han colocado botellas en el congelador para que se enfríen rápidamente.

Para activar la función:

El Temporizador muestra el valor seleccionado (30 minutos) durante unos segundos.

Alarma de puerta abierta

Si la puerta se queda abierta durante unos minutos, sonará una señal acústica. Los indica dores de puerta abierta son los siguientes:

• indicador de alarma intermitente

• señal acústica

Una vez restablecidas las condiciones normales (puerta cerrada), la alarma acústica se de tendrá.

La señal acústica se puede desactivar durante la fase de alarma pulsando para ello cualquier tecla.

La luz se apaga después de 7 minutos con la puerta abierta.

PRIMER USO

Limpieza de las partes internas

Antes del empleo limpiar todas las partes internas con agua tibia y jabón neutro, a fin de eliminar el característico olor de nuevo y secarlas luego cuidadosamente.

Congelación de alimentos frescos

El compartimento congelador está ideado para la congelación de alimentos frescos y para la conservación a largo plazo de alimentos congelados y ultracongelados.

Para congelar alimentos frescos no es necesario cambiar el ajuste intermedio.

Sin embargo, para lograr una congelación más rápida, gire el regulador de temperatura a un ajuste más alto para obtener el frío máximo.

En esa situación, la temperatura del compartimento frigorífico puede descender por debajo de 0 °C. En ese caso, sitúe el regulador de temperatura en un ajuste menos frío.

Almacenamiento de alimentos congelados

Al poner en marcha el aparato por primera vez o después de un periodo sin uso, déjelo en marcha al menos durante 2 horas con un ajuste alto antes de colocar los productos en el compartimento.

En caso de producirse una descongelación accidental, por ejemplo, por un corte del sumi nistro eléctrico, si la interrupción ha sido más prolongada que el valor indicado en la tabla de características técnicas bajo "tiempo de elevación", los alimentos descongelados deben consumirse cuanto antes o cocinarlos de inmediato y volverlos a congelar (después de que se hayan enfriado).

Descongelación

Los alimentos ultracongelados o congelados, antes de utilizarlos, se pueden descongelar en el compartimento frigorífico o a temperatura ambiente, dependiendo del tiempo de que se disponga.

Para cambiar la posición de los estantes: mueva paulatinamente el estante en la dirección de las flechas hasta retirarlo del soporte y coló quelo en la posición que desee.

El modelo cuenta con una caja de almacenamien to variable que se fija bajo un estante de la puerta y puede deslizarse lateralmente.

Sonidos de funcionamiento normal

• Es posible que oiga un gorgoteo o burbujeo cuando el refrigerante circula a través del circuito de refrigeración o tuberías. Esto es correcto.

• Cuando el compresor está en marcha, el refrigerante es bombeado a través de todo el circuito y el compresor emite un zumbido o un sonido intermitente. Esto es correcto.

• La dilatación térmica puede provocar un repentino crujido. Es un fenómeno físico natural que no representa riesgo alguno. Esto es correcto.

Consejos útiles:

Carne (de todo tipo): guárdela en bolsas de plástico y colóquela en el estante de vidrio, so bre el cajón de las verduras.

Por razones de seguridad, guárdela de ese modo durante uno o dos días, como máximo.

Alimentos cocinados, platos fríos, etc..: los debe cubrir y puede colocarlos en cualquiera de los estantes.

Frutas y verduras: se deben limpiar a conciencia y colocar en los cajones especiales suminis trados a tal efecto.

Mantequilla y queso: colóquelos en recipientes herméticos especiales o envueltos en papel de aluminio o en bolsas de plástico, para excluir tanto aire como sea posible.

Botellas de leche: deben tener tapa y se colocarán en el estante para botellas de la puerta.

Los plátanos, las patatas, las cebollas y los ajos, si no están empaquetados, no deben guar darse en el frigorífico.

Consejos sobre la congelación

Estos consejos son importantes para poder aprovechar al máximo el proceso de congela ción:

• la cantidad máxima de alimentos que puede congelarse en 24 horas se muestra en la placa de datos técnicos;

• el proceso de congelación requiere 24 horas. Durante ese periodo no deben añadirse otros alimentos para congelación;

• congele sólo productos alimenticios de máxima calidad, frescos y perfectamente limpios;

• prepare los alimentos en porciones pequeñas para que se congelen de manera rápida y total, así como para poder descongelar posteriormente sólo las cantidades necesarias;

• envuelva los alimentos en papel de aluminio o polietileno y compruebe que los envolto rios quedan herméticamente cerrados;

• no permita que alimentos frescos y sin congelar entren en contacto con alimentos ya congelados, para evitar el aumento de temperatura de los segundos;

• los alimentos magros se congelan mejor que los grasos; la sal reduce el tiempo de alma cenamiento de los alimentos;

• el hielo, si se consume inmediatamente después de retirarlo del compartimento congela dor, puede provocar quemaduras por congelación en la piel;

• es recomendable etiquetar cada paquete con la fecha de congelación para controlar el tiempo que permanecen almacenados.

Consejos para el almacenamiento de alimentos congelados

Para obtener el máximo rendimiento de este aparato, deberá:

• Comprobar que el comerciante ha mantenido los productos congelados correctamente almacenados.

• Pocurar que los alimentos congelados pasen de la tienda al congelador en el menor tiempo posible.

PRECAUCIÓN

Antes de realizar tareas de mantenimiento, desenchufe el aparato.

Este equipo contiene hidrocarburos en la unidad de refrigeración; por tanto, el manteni miento y la recarga deben estar a cargo exclusivamente de técnicos autorizados.

Limpieza periódica

El equipo debe limpiarse de forma regular:

• limpie el interior y los accesorios con agua templada y un jabón neutro.

• revise y limpie periódicamente las juntas de la puerta para mantenerlas limpias y sin res tos.

• aclare y seque a fondo.

No mueva, dañe ni tire de los conductos o cables del interior del armario.

No utilice detergentes, polvos abrasivos, productos de limpieza perfumados ni cera para limpiar el interior, ya que podrían dañar la superficie, además de dejar un olor intenso.

Tenga cuidado para no dañar el sistema de refrigeración.

Muchas marcas de limpiadores de superficies de cocina contienen químicos que pueden atacar o dañar los plásticos del aparato. Por tal razón, se recomienda que el exterior del aparato se limpie sólo con agua templada a la que se añadirá un poco de líquido lavavaji llas.

Después de la limpieza, vuelva a conectar el aparato a la toma de red.

Descongelación del frigorífico

La escarcha se elimina automáticamente del evaporador del frigorífico cada vez que se de tiene el compresor, durante el funcionamiento normal. El agua de la descongelación se des carga hacia un recipiente especial situado en la parte posterior del aparato, sobre el motor compresor, donde se evapora.

Es importante limpiar periódicamente el orificio de salida del agua de descongelación situado en la mitad del canal del compartimento frigorífico pa ra evitar que el agua desborde y caiga sobre los alimentos del interior. Utilice el limpiador especial suministrado, que hallará ya colocado en el orifi cio de desagüe.

Descongelación del congelador

Siempre se forma un poco de escarcha en los estantes del congelador y en torno al compar timento superior.

Descongele el congelador sólo cuando la capa de escarcha alcance un grosor de unos 3 a 5 mm.

Para eliminar la escarcha, siga estos pasos:

Apague el aparato.

Retire los alimentos congelados, envuélvalos en varias hojas de papel periódico y coló quelos en un sitio fresco.

Deje la puerta abierta.

Cuando finalice la descongelación, seque bien el interior y vuelva a colocar el tapón.

Encienda el aparato.

Ajuste el regulador de temperatura para obtener el máximo frío y haga funcionar el aparato durante dos o tres horas con dicho ajuste.

Vuelva a introducir los alimentos que retiró previamente.

No utilice herramientas metálicas afiladas para raspar la escarcha del evaporador, ya que podría dañarlo.
