Caution — Make sure your mains corresponds with the voltage of the radiator and that fuses of your mains supply are of the correct rating (10 Amp): — Never place the radiator next to cur- tains or other combustible material. The minimum clearance between radiator and wall resp. combustible material should be 60 cm. — As the radiator surface becomes hot the mains cable has to be pulled out of the cable recess at full length. — Never cover the radiator with blankets, ~ clothes or the like as this may cause overheating and damage. — The appliance is ready to operate as soon as the plug is inserted in the socket. — Caution: the appliance must not be op- erated in the immediate vicinity of bath- tubs, showers, wash-basins or swim- ming pools. ~ The appliance must not be used in places where explosive gases can be present, or when inflammable materials are being used. — To avoid electric shock, do not handle the radiator when your hands are wet. — Avoid the use of an extension cord. The extension cord may overheat and cause the risk of fire. — Check the inlet and the outlet openings from time to time for accumulated dust. — Do not use the heater out-doors or in rooms that are less then 4 m'. — Please check the rating label (on the side of the control panel) for the type of radiator you own. — The radiator should only be repaired by our service department or an author- ized outlet. — The radiator oil is free of noxious mat- ters like FCKW and PCB since it is a first raffinate. Before scrapin the appli- ance the oil must be taken out. This oil can be disposed in a central depot for old oil. Mounting of the castor bars For safety reasons do not plug the radia- tor in before the castor bars have been fitted to the bottom side of the radiator body (fig. 2). — Turn the radiator upside down (avoid concrete floor, place on a blanket). — Place castor bars between the first and second elements and between last ele- ment and last but one. — Insert plain angled end of fastening bow into a hole of the castor bar from below (lift castor bar at the other end). — Replace castor bar and guide threaded end of fastening bow through the other hole of the castor bar. — Put the wing nut on and screw it down tightly. — Repeat these operations with the sec- ond castor bar, then put the radiator on its castors. It is now ready for use. — Label: Do not cover. Operation The power control (A) can be used to match the output of the appliance to indi- vidual heating requirements in the room (see fig. 3). The thermostat knob (B) can be used for - continuously variable setting of the re- quired room temperature from around 6°C to 70°C. The visible "MIN” setting on the knob edge thereby corresponds to around 6°C, i.e. frost protection. Thermostat control To obtain the desired room temperature, set the power (A) to any power position given in fig. 3 and thermostat knob (B) to the max position. . When the room temperature has reached the desired level, slowly turn the thermo- stat knob (B) back until the heater just cuts out, the red pilot lamps are switched off. The heater will now come on at inter- vals and keep the room at the set tem- perature level. Frost protection During prolonged absence in winter, the thermostat knob (B) should be set to po- sition "MIN”. The room temperature will then be automatically maintained at around 6°C. The power level must then be set to any power position given in fig. 3. ©) Electrolux - EX-WOR-001
