DISPLAY: The DISPLAY (13) shows the TRACK NUMBER, PITCH
VALUE, SINGLE-AUTO CUE, CONTINUE (for continuous play), and 3
different TIME DISPLAYS. These TIME DISPLAYS are TIME ELAPSED
(ELAPSED) on the track, TIME REMAINING on the disc (TOTAL
REMAIN) and TIME REMAINING on the track (REMAIN). TIME is
measured in MINUTES, SECONDS and FRAMES.
INTRODUCTION:
Congratulations on purchasing a Gemini CD-400X, CD player. This
state of the art professional CD player is backed by a three year
warranty, excluding lasers...one year warranty on CD lasers. Prior to
use, we suggest that you carefully read all the instructions.
PLAYBACK DISPLAY: The PLAYBACK DISPLAY (14) displays the time
remaining to play and flashes slowly when the track has 30 seconds
left. The PLAYBACK DISPLAY (14) flashes quickly when the track
has 15 seconds left.
CAUTIONS:
1. Do not use this CD player at temperatures below 41°F/5°C or higher
than 95°F/35°C.
: Each press of the PLAY/PAUSE (11) button causes

the operation to change from play to pause or from pause back to play.
See the CUE INSTRUCTIONS section for more information.
2. The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no
objects filled with liquids such as vases should be placed on the
apparatus.

JOG WHEEL: The JOG WHEEL (16) has two functions. Use the JOG WHEEL
(16) to make fine adjustments in pause mode. Use the JOG WHEEL (16) to
bend the pitch for precise synchronization in play mode.
6. To prevent electric shock, do not remove the cover or the bottom
screws. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Please refer
servicing to a qualified technician.
STOP
7. Do not use chemical solvents to clean the unit.
: The STOP (18) button will end the playing of the CD.
TIME: The TIME (20) button switches the time display between the three
available choices listed under DISPLAY (13).
8. Keep the laser pickup clean by keeping the tray closed.
9. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
CUE: With the unit in play mode (the PLAY/PAUSE LED will glow), and
after the cue point has been set, pressing the CUE (10) button will
cause the CD player to enter pause mode (the PLAY/PAUSE LED will
blink) at the memorized cue point (the CUE LED glows yellow). Holding
down the CUE (10) button changes the CUE (10) function to PREVIEW
allowing you to hear the music play from the cue point. Releasing the
CUE (10) button returns you to the preset cue point.

FLY CUE: The FLY CUE (5) function lets you set cues on the fly with one
press of a button. With the unit in the play mode (the PLAY/PAUSE (11)
LED will glow), press FLY CUE (5) at the point where you want the
cue point to be (the unit will continue to play). The cue point is now
memorized. See the CUE INSTRUCTIONS section for more information.

LINE VOLTAGE SELECTION:
Model CD-400X is a dual voltage unit. It will operate at 115 or 230 volts.
To set the proper voltage follow these steps:
SET CUE: Use the SET CUE (15) button to activate the DIRECT ACCESS
BUTTONS to set a cue point. See the CUE INSTRUCTIONS section for
more information.
1. Place the head of a screw driver in the center of the VOLTAGE
SELECTOR (4) switch found on the rear panel.
DIRECT ACCESS: Use the DIRECT ACCESS (12) buttons to select what
track to play and to set a cue point. See the CUE INSTRUCTIONS
section for more information.
2. Slide the switch left for 115 volts or slide the switch right for 230 volts.
3. Do not force or twist the switch. Excessive force may cause damage.
If the switch does not move smoothly, contact a qualified technician.
SEAMLESS LOOP: After a cue point is memorized, pressing the CUE-B/
EXIT (6) button in play mode repeats the section between the cue
point and the point where the CUE-B/EXIT (6) button was pressed.
Press the CUE-B/EXIT (6) button again or pause play to EXIT the
repeating play. Set a new cue point from outside the loop to clear the
loop from the unit’s memory.
CONNECTIONS:
1. Plug one end of a set of RCA connectors into each of the LINE
OUTPUT (2) jacks.
Note: If you use the SET CUE (15) to set a cue point while the unit is playing
and then use it immediately for a loop, there will be a slight delay the first
time you play the loop. Avoid this by playing the cue before setting the
loop or by using the FLY CUE (5) or the CUE (10) to set the cue point you
want to loop from.
2. Plug the other end of the RCA connectors into any available line level
input jacks on your mixer. If you are playing the CD-400X through a
receiver, you can plug the RCA connectors into the CD or AUX input
jacks on your receiver. If there are no CD or AUX inputs, use any line
level (not phono) inputs.
BOP/RELOOP: The BOP/RELOOP (7) button has two functions. To
return to a previously saved loop from normal play, press the BOP/
RELOOP (7) button after saving the loop. To return to and instantly play
from a previously saved cue point, press the BOP/RELOOP (7) button
after setting the cue point (if you do not have a loop saved).
FUNCTION DESCRIPTIONS:
ANTI-SHOCK BUFFER MEMORY: With 6 SECONDS OF ANTI-SHOCK
BUFFER MEMORY, the CD player stores 6 seconds of future play to
ensure that any harsh movement or bumping of the unit will not
interrupt play and play will continue smoothly.
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUOUS: Pressing the SINGLE-AUTO CUE/
CONTINUE (19) button activates the AUTO CUE FUNCTION. The AUTO
CUE FUNCTION causes the unit to pause at the beginning of music of the
following track and allows you to start play immediately from the start of
music without any blank space (which exists at the beginning of every
track). Pressing the SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) button a second
time activates the CONTINUOUS function causing the unit to play
continuously (after the last track, the unit will return to the first track of the
disc and continue to play). Pressing the SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19)
button a third time deactivates the CONTINUOUS function.
POWER SWITCH: After making sure that the VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4),
switch found on the rear panel, is properly set, plug the unit in and
press the POWER (3) switch. The unit will turn on.
DISC TRAY: The DISC TRAY (17) is where the CD is held. Pressing the
disc tray OPEN (24) button will open the tray.
OPEN: Press the OPEN (24) button to open the DISC TRAY (17).

SUGGESTION: To avoid confusion while setting cue points, keep the time
display in ELAPSED TIME mode. When you use the DIRECT ACCESS
BUTTONS to set a cue, the track, minute, second and frame are always in
elapsed time. If the unit’s time display is in TRACK REMAIN or TOTAL
REMAIN mode, the track, minute, second and frame displayed will be the
remain time and not the track, minute, second and frame you entered.
PITCH: Pushing the PITCH (21) button activates the PITCH CONTROL
(23). The pitch of the CD will change according to the position of the
PITCH CONTROL (23).
: Pushing the PITCH BEND (22) buttons will automatiPITCH BEND
cally raise the pitch up to +4% or lower the pitch down to -4% from the
existing pitch setting. Releasing the buttons will return the pitch to the
original pitch setting. You can use this function to match the beat when
mixing from one track to another.
2. To fine tune a cue point, pause play at the memorized cue point (the
cue LED will glow and the PLAY/PAUSE LED will blink), then use the
JOG WHEEL (16) or SEARCH (9) buttons to scan frame by frame (1/
75th of a second) to where you want play to begin (the CUE LED will
blink while you scan). Press the PLAY/PAUSE (11) button to save the
new cue point.
DIGITAL OUTPUT JACK: Connecting any type of DAT, MD, HARD
DRIVE, or other such items which accept digital signals to the BNC (1)
output connector on the rear panel of the transports allows you to
record a digital signal from CD.
Note: During fine tuning there will be a stutter effect (to help you find the
beat). The stuttering effect will end when you press the PLAY/PAUSE (11)
button to save the cue point. Also, during fine tuning if you hold down the
SEARCH (9) buttons, the unit will scan quickly after 10 frames.
MASTER TEMPO: MASTER TEMPO (25) This control locks in the
music’s pitch even when the tempo changes. You can vary the beat
with no change in vocal or instrument tone.
EFFECTS BUTTONS: The ZOOM (26) effect changes the delay time by
rotating the JOG WHEEL (16), mixing a short delay with the playback sound.
This function allows you to produce the sound of a jet engine (flanger
effect) using a single CD player. The ECHO button (27) adds echo to the
music. The delay time can be adjusted by turning the JOG WHEEL (16)
to the left or right. The FILTER button (28) allows you to change the
cutoff frequency of the playback sound when the JOG WHEEL (16) is
rotated. This allows the DJ to extract and play back specific parts
from the playback sound. The BRAKE button (29) allows adjustment in
the speed at which the CD slows down until it stops.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
•
If the disk will not play, check to see if the disc was loaded correctly
(label side up). Also check the disc for excessive dirt, scratches, etc.
•
If the disc turns but there is no sound, check the cable connections. If
they are okay, check your amplifier or receiver.
•
If the CD skips, check the CD for dirt or scratches. Do not assume that
the CD player is defective. Many CDs are recorded out of spec and
will skip on most or all CD players. Before sending the unit in for repair,
try playing a CD that you are sure plays properly.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Make sure that the VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4) switch, found on the rear
panel, is set for the proper voltage. Plug the unit in and press the
POWER (3) switch.

1. To memorize the spot at which you want play to start, the cue point,
select the proper track, and then push the PLAY/PAUSE (11) button so
the unit goes into play mode (the play/pause LED will glow). Listen to
the CD and when the CD gets to the approximate spot, push the PLAY/
PAUSE (11) button so the unit goes into pause mode (the PLAY/PAUSE
LED will blink). Move the JOG WHEEL (16) or use the SEARCH (9)
buttons to find the precise spot you want play to begin, and push the
PLAY/PAUSE (11) to memorize the cue point. Press CUE (10) to return
to the memorized cue point in pause mode, and then push PLAY/
PAUSE (11) to play from the cue point. Or you can press the BOP/
RELOOP (7) button to return to and instantly play from the saved cue
point (if you do not have a loop saved).

To use FLY CUE (5) to set a cue point, follow these instructions:

1. With the unit in the play mode (play/pause LED glows green), press
FLY CUE (5) at the point where you want the cue point to be (the unit
will continue to play). The cue point is now memorized. Press the CUE
(10) button to return to the memorized cue point. Push the PLAY/
PAUSE (11) button, and the unit will instantly play from the spot
selected.

To use the SET CUE (15) button and the DIRECT ACCESS (12) buttons
to set a cue point, follow these instructions:
1. Press the SET CUE (15) button (the set cue LED will light). Use the
DIRECT ACCESS (12) buttons to memorize the spot at which you want
play to start, the cue point, by selecting the proper track, minute,
second and frame. Push the CUE (10) button to set the CUE. You can
do this in any mode, including play mode, so that you may cue a track
while playing a track. Press the CUE (10) button again to return to the
memorized cue point in pause mode, and then push PLAY/PAUSE (11)
to play from the cue point. Or you can press the BOP/RELOOP (7)
button to return to and instantly play from the saved cue point (if you
do not have a loop saved).

GESCHWINDIGKEITSABWEICHUNG, den SINGLE-AUTO

(14) wird die restliche Spielzeit in Balken optisch angezeigt und blinkt
langsam, wenn 30 Sekunden bis zum Ende des Titels verbleiben. Die
Taste PLAYBACK ANZEIGE (14) blinkt schnell, wenn 15 Sekunden bis
zum Ende des Titels verbleiben.
SPIELEN/PAUSE
: Jedesmal, wenn die Taste SPIELEN/PAUSE (11)
gedrückt wird, schaltet die Einheit von Spielen auf Pause bzw. von
Pause wieder auf Spielen. Im Abschnitt SPEICHERTASTEZUSATZHINWEISE befinden sich zusätzliche Informationen.
: Die Tasten SPUR ÜBERSPRINGEN (8)
SPUR ÜBERSPRINGEN
(Titel überspringen) erlauben eine Auswahl der Titel, die gespielt werden soll.
ABTASTEN
: Die Tasten ABTASTEN (9) dienen dazu, während
dem spiel-modus oder dem pause-modus auf der CD vorwärts und
rückwärts zu suchen. Im Abschnitt SPEICHERTASTEZUSATZHINWEISE finden Sie weitere Informationen.
SUCHRAD: Das SUCHRAD (16) hat zwei Funktionen. Das SUCHRAD
(16) dient dazu, den modus-pause genau einzustellen. Mit dem
SUCHRAD (16) kann die Geschwindigkeit für exakte Synchronisation
im modus-spielen eingestellt werden.
STOPPEN/LÖSCHEN : Die Taste STOPPEN/LÖSCHEN (18) stoppt und
beendet das Abspielen der CD.
ZEIT: Die Taste ZEIT (20) schaltet die Zeitanzeige auf eine der
verschiedenen Zeitanzeigen, die unter ANZEIGE (13) aufgeführt sind.
SPEICHERTASTE: Wenn der CD-Spieler sich im modus-spiel
befindet (LED SPIELEN/PAUSE leuchtet auf) und nachdem der
Startpunkt eingestellt worden ist, verursacht ein Druck auf die Taste
SPEICHERTASTE (10), daß der CD-Spielers in den modus-pause (LED
SPIELEN/PAUSE wird blinken) an dem gespeicherten Startpunkt (LED
SPEICHERTASTE leuchtet gelb auf) schaltet. Wenn Sie die
SPEICHERTASTE (10) niederdrücken, wird die Mithörfunktion auf
PREVIEW zurückgesetzt und ermöglicht Ihnen, die Musik von dem
Startpunkt abzuhören. Das Auslösen der SPEICHERTASTE (10) führt
Sie zum voreingestellten Startpunkt zurück.
MERKTASTE: Die Funktion MERKTASTE (5) ermöglicht Ihnen, eine
Merkstelle mit dem Druck einer Taste schnell einzustellen. Wenn der
CD-Spieler im spiel-modus ist (LED SPIELEN/PAUSE leuchtet auf),
drücken Sie die Taste MERKTASTE (5) an der Stelle, wo der
Startpunkt sein soll (der CD-Spieler spielt weiter). Nun ist der
Startpunkt gespeichert. Im Abschnitt SPEICHERTASTEZUSATZHINWEISE finden Sie weitere Informationen.
STARTSTELLE EINSTELLEN: Mit der Taste STARTSTELLE
EINSTELLEN (15) werden die Tasten DIREKTITELANWAHL (12)
aktiviert, um einen Startpunkt einzustellen. Im Abschnitt
SPEICHERTASTE-ZUSATZHINWEISE finden Sie weitere Informationen.
DIREKTITELANWAHL: Die Tasten DIREKTITELANWAHL (12) werden
benutzt, um den abzuspielenden Titel direkt anzuwählen und um den
STARTPUNKT einzustellen. Im Abschnitt SPEICHERTASTEZANWEISUNGEN finden Sie weitere Informationen.
SEAMLESS LOOP: Nachdem ein Startpunkt gespeichert wurde, und
wenn die Taste CUE-B/EXIT (6) gedrückt wird im spiel-modus wird der
Abschnitt zwischen dem Startpunkt und der Stelle an der die Taste
CUE-B/EXIT (6) gedrückt wurde, wiederholt. Drücken Sie die CUE-B/
EXIT (6) Taste wieder oder gehen Sie nach dem Pausenmodus um das
Abspielen zu verlassen (EXIT). Eine neue können Merkstelle Sie
außerhalb der Schleife einstellen, um die Schleife vom Speicher der
Einheit zu löschen.
EINLEITUNG:
Wir gratulieren Ihnen zum Kauf eines Gemini CDJ-400x CD-Players.
Dieser moderne CD-Spieler ist mit einer dreijährigen Garantie,
ausschließlich Laser ausgestattet. Die Garantie für CD Laser beträgt
1 Jahr. Vor Anwendung des Gerätes lesen Sie bitte alle Anleitungen
sorgfältig durch.
VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN:
1. Dieser CD-Spieler darf nicht in einer Umgebung gebraucht werden, in
der die Temperatur 5° C unterschreitet oder 35° C überschreitet.
2. Das Gerät vor Tropfen und Spritzern schützen, und es dürfen keine
mit Flüssigkeit gefüllte Behälter wie Vasen darauf gestellt werden.
3. Das Gerät an einer sauberen, trockenen Stelle aufstellen.
4. Das Gerät nicht so aufstellen, daß es nicht ausreichend abgestützt ist.
5. Wenn das Netzkabel aus einer Steckdose gezogen wird, immer am
Stecker ziehen, nicht am Kabel selbst.
6. Um das Risiko elektrischen Schocks zu vermeiden, weder das
Gehäuse noch die unteren Schrauben entfernen. Es befinden sich
keine vom Anwender zu wartenden Teile im Gehäuse. Die Wartung
ist von einem qualifizierten Techniker vorzunehmen.
7. Das Gerät nicht mit chemischen Lösungsmitteln reinigen.
8. Den Laser-Tonabnehmer sauber halten, indem der CD-Deckel immer
geschlossen bleibt.
9. Dieses Handbuch als Nachschlagewerk gut aufbewahren.
SICHERHEITSBESCHEINIGUNG:

WAHL DER NETZSPANNUNG:
Das Modell CDJ-400X ist mit einem Spannungswahlschalter
ausgerüstet, und kann mit 115 oder 230 Volt betrieben werden. Um
die richtige Spannung einzustellen (Werkseinstellung für BRD sind
230 Volt !), sind folgende Schritte zu befolgen:
1. Einen Schraubenzieherkopf in die Mitte des SpannungswahlSchiebereglers VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4) auf der Rückseite des
Gerätes einstecken.
2. Den Schalter nach links schieben, um auf 115 V zu schalten, oder
nach rechts schieben, um auf 230 V zu schalten.
3. Den Schalter nicht mit übermäßiger Kraft schieben oder drehen. Falls
der Schalter sich nicht bewegen läßt, wenden Sie sich an Ihren
Fachhändler.
ANSCHLÜSSE:
1. Ein Ende von einem Satz Cinch-Stecker in jeden der Anschlüsse
SIGNALAUSGANG (2) einstecken.
2. Das andere Ende der Cinch-Stecker in einen beliebigen Anschluß
Signaleingang des Mischpults einstecken. Wenn der CDJ-400X an
einem Empfangsgerät benutzt wird, können die Cinch-Stecker in die
Eingangsanschlüsse CD oder AUX des Empfangsgeräts eingesteckt
werden. Wenn kein CD oder AUX Eingang vorhanden ist, kann jeder
Eingang (außer Phono) verwendet werden.
Hinweis: Wenn Sie STARTSTELLE EINSTELLEN (15) (Cue einstellen) benutzen,
um einen Startpunkt (den Anfangspunkt einer Schleife) zu ändern, während Sie
einen Titel abspielen, gibt es das erste Mal eine geringe Verzögerung beim Start
der Schleife. Dieses kann verhindert werden, wenn Sie MERKTASTE (5) oder
SPEICHERTASTE (10) benutzen, um den Startpunkt zu ändern, von dem die
Schleife abgespielt werden soll.
FUNKTIONSBESCHREIBUNG:
RÜCKLAUF: Die Taste RÜCKLAUF (7) hat zwei Funktionen. Um zum
Anfang der zuvor gesicherten Schleife des normalen Abspielens
zurückzukehren, drücken Sie die Taste RÜCKLAUF (7), nachdem Sie
die Schleife gesichert haben). Um zu einer zuvor gesicherten
Merkstelle zurückzukehren und von dieser momentan an zu spielen,
drücken Sie die Taste RÜCKLAUF (7), nachdem Sie die Merkstellen
eingestellt haben (falls Sie keine Schleife gesichert haben).
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUOUS: Drücken der SINGLE-AUTO CUE/
CONTINUE (19) Taste aktiviert die AUTO CUE Funktion. Die Funktion
stoppt das Gerät beim Start der Musik des darauffolgenden Titels und
ermöglicht das Abspielen sofort beim Start der Musik ohne jeglichen
leeren Zwischenraum (der zu Beginn eines jeden Titels besteht).
Durch Drücken der SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) Taste ein
zweites Mal aktiviert die CONTINUOUS Funktion. Diese Funktion lässt
das Gerät fortwährend spielen (nach dem letzten Titel kehrt das Gerät

starke Erschütterungen oder Schläge am Gerät das Spielen nicht
unterbrechen und daß das Abspielen problemlos fortgesetzt wird.
NETZSCHALTER: Nachdem sichergestellt wurde, daß der Schieberegler
VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4) auf der hinteren Schalttafel richtig eingestellt
ist, das Gerät am Netz anschließen und den NETZSCHALTER (3)
einschalten. Damit wird das Gerät eingeschaltet.
CD-FACH: Im CD-FACH (17) ist die CD enthalten. Das Drücken der OPEN
(24) Taste öffnet das CD-FACH (17).
OPEN: Die OPEN (24) Taste drücken, um das CD-FACH (17) zu öffnen.
ANZEIGE: Das ANZEIGE (13) zeigt die TITELNUMMER, die

der SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) Taste ein drittes Mal
deaktiviert die CONTINUOUS Funktion.
GESCHWINDIGKEIT: Wenn die Taste GESCHWINDIGKEIT (21) Tastegedrückt
wird, wird die GESCHWINDIGKEITSREGELUNG (23)
aktiviert. Die Geschwindigkeit der CD wird je nach Stellung des Reglers
GESCHWINDIGKEITSREGELUNG (23) geändert.
GESCHWINDIGKEITSANPASSUNG
: Wenn die Tasten
GESCHWINDIGKEITSANPASSUNG (22) gedrückt werden, wird die
Geschwindigkeit automatisch +4% angehoben oder um -4% gesenkt,
gegenüber der Originaleinstellung. Wenn die Tasten freigegeben
werden, kehrt die Geschwindigkeit zu ihrer Originaleinstellung zurück.
Sie können diese Funktion benutzen, um die Taktsynchronität beim
Mischen von einem Song zum anderen anzupassen.
DIGITALE AUSGANGSBUCHSE: Anschluss für DAT, MD, HARD DRIVE,
u.ä, die digitale Signale von dem BNC (1)-Anschluß auf der Rückseite
aufnehmen, ermöglichen Ihnen, digitale Signale von CD zu überspielen.
MASTER TEMPO: MASTER TEMPO (25) Taste dieser Regler arretiert
die Tonhöhe, selbst wenn das Tempo geändert wird. Sie können den Beat
variieren, ohne dabei den Vokal-oder Instrumentenklang zu ändern.
EFFEKT-TASTEN: Der ZOOM (26)-Taste ändert die Verzögerungszeit,
indem das SUCHRAD (16) gedreht wird, wobei die kurze Verzögerung
mit dem Wiedergabeklang gemischt wird. Diese Funktion ermöglichen
Ihnen, den Klang eines Düsenmotors zu erzeugen (Effektsteller),
wobei ein einzelner CD-Spieler benutzt wird. Der ECHO (27)-Taste
verleiht der Musik ein Echo. Die Verzögerungszeit kann reguliert
werden, indem das Suchrad nach links oder rechts gestellt wird. Der
FILTER (28)-Taste ermöglichen Ihnen, die kritische Frequenz des
Wiedergabeklangs zu ändern, wenn das SUCHRAD (16) rotiert. Dies
ermöglicht dem DJ, bestimmte Teile aus dem Wiedergabeklang ziehen
und wiederzugeben. Die BRAKE (29)-Taste simuliert den Effekt eines
Plattenspielers, dessen Geschwindigkeit reduziert wird, bis er zum
Stoppen kommt.
Rahmen wählen; drücken Sie die Taste SPEICHERTASTE (10), um die

gehalten werden. Wenn Sie die Tasten DIREKTTITELANWAHL) zum Einstellen
eines Startpunktes wählen, werden der Titel, Minuten, Sekunden und Rahmen
immer in abgelaufener Zeit angezeigt. Wenn die Zeitanzeige des Gerätes im
Modus TRACK REMAIN (verbleibende Titelzeit) oder TOTAL REMAIN
(verbleibende totale CD-Zeit) ist, werden der angezeigte Titel, Minute, Sekunde
und Rahmen die verbleibende Titelzeit sein anstatt Titel, Minute, Sekunde und
Rahmen des eingegebenen Titels.
2. Das Feineinstellen eines Startpunktes geschieht, indem man das
Abspielen an dem gespeicherten Startpunkt unterbricht (LED
SPEICHERTASTE wird erleuchten und LED SPIELEN/PAUSE wird
blinken) und dann mit den Tasten SUCHRAD (16) oder ABTASTEN (9)
Rahmen um Rahmen abtastet (1/75 einer Sekunde), wo das Abspielen
beginnen soll (LED SPEICHERTASTE blinkt auf während der
Abtastung). Die Taste SPIELEN/PAUSE (11) drücken, um den neuen
Startpunkt zu speichern.
Hinweis: Während des Feineinstellens wird ein Stottereffekt erzeugt (hilft Ihnen, den
Beat zu finden). Der Stottereffekt hört auf, wenn Sie die Taste PLAY/PAUSE (11)
drücken, um den Startpunkt zu sichern. Beim Feineinstellen können Sie
ebenfalls die Tasten SEARCH (9) drücken; das System wird schnell mit 10

BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG:
FEHLERSUCHE
1. Sicherstellen, daß der Schieberegler VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4)
(Spannungswähler) auf der hinteren Schalttafel auf die richtige
Spannung eingestellt ist. Das Gerät mit dem Netz verbinden und den
NETZSCHALTER (3) einschalten.
2. Die OPEN (24) Taste drücken, eine CD ins CD-FACH (17) legen, und
das Fach schließen.
3. Die Tasten SPUR ÜBERSPRINGEN (8) drücken, um den gewünschten
Titel zu wählen.
4. Die Taste SPIELEN/PAUSE (11) drücken und das Gerät fängt sofort
an zu spielen.
ZUSATZHINWEISE:
1. Um die genaue Stelle zu speichern, an der das Abspielen bzw. die
Merkstelle einsetzen soll, ist der entsprechende Titel zu wählen, dann
die Taste SPIELEN/PAUSE (11) drücken, damit der CD-Spieler in den
spiel-modus übergeht (LED SPIELEN/PAUSE leuchtet auf). Hören Sie
sich die CD an, und sobald die CD ungefähr die gewünschte Stelle
erreicht, drücken Sie die Taste SPIELEN/PAUSE (11), damit die Einheit
in den pause-modus geht (LED SPIELEN/PAUSE wird blinken). Das
SUCHRAD (16) in die exakte Position drehen oder die Tasten
ABTASTEN (9) benutzen um die exakte Position zu finden, in der das
Abspielen beginnen soll, und dann die Taste SPIELEN/PAUSE (11)
drücken, um die Merkstelle zu speichern. Das Drücken der Taste
SPEICHERTASTE (10) führt Sie zur gespeicherten Merkstelle im
pause-modus zurück, und dann die Tasten SPIELEN/PAUSE (11)
drücken, um von der Merkstelle an zu spielen, oder die Taste

keine Schleife gesichert haben) zurückkehren und von dort momentan
an spielen.
Zur Benutzung der Taste MERKTASTE (5), um einer Merkstelle
einzustellen, sind folgende Anweisungen zu befolgen:
1. Wenn der CD-Spieler im spiel-modus ist (LED SPIELEN/PAUSE
leuchtet auf), drücken Sie die Taste MERKTASTE (5) an der Stelle, wo
die Merkstelle sein soll (der CD-Spieler spielt weiter). Nun ist die
Merkstelle gespeichert. Die Taste RÜCKLAUF(7) drücken, und die
Einheit wird momentan von der Merkstelle an spielen, oder Sie können
die Taste SPEICHERTASTE (10) drücken, um gespeicherten
Merkstelle zurückzukehren, und dann die Taste SPIELEN/PAUSE (11)
drücken, um von der Merkstelle an zu spielen.

Wenn die CD nicht spielt, nachprüfen ob die CD richtig eingelegt wurde
(mit der beschrifteten Seite nach oben). Auch auf Verunreinigung,
Kratzer usw. überprüfen.

Wenn die CD sich dreht, aber kein Ton zu hören ist, die
Kabelanschlüsse überprüfen. Wenn diese in Ordnung sind, den
Verstärker bzw. das Empfangsgerät überprüfen.

Wenn die CD springt, ist sie auf Schmutz oder Kratzer zu überprüfen.
Man darf nicht sofort annehmen, daß der CD-Spieler defekt ist. Viele
CDs werden nicht spezifikationsgemäß aufgenommen und springen
auf den meißten oder allen CD-Spielern. Bevor Sie das Gerät zur
Reparatur einsenden, versuchen Sie, eine CD abzuspielen, bei der Sie
sicher sind das sie auf anderen Geräten funktioniert.

TIEMPO: El TIEMPO (20) hace desplegar sucesivamente los tres datos
horarios enumerados en VISUALIZADOR (13).

PUNTO DE REFERENCIA: Con el aparato en la modalidad de
reproducción (la LUZ de REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA se enciende) y
después de haber establecido el punto de referencia, el hecho de
apretar el pulsador PUNTO DE REFERENCIA (10) hará pasar el
reproductor CD a la modalidad de pausa (la LUZ de REPRODUCCIÓN/
PAUSA parpadea) en el punto de referencia memorizado (la LUZ
amarilla del PUNTO DE REFERENCIA se enciende). Si Ud mantiene el
dedo en el pulsador PUNTO DE REFERENCIA (10), la función PUNTO
DE REFERENCIA (10) pasará a PREVIEW lo que le permitirá escuchar
la música a partir del punto de referencia. Si Ud saca el dedo del
pulsador PUNTO DE REFERENCIA (10), le lleva de nuevo al punto
punto de referencia preestablecido.

ALIMENTACION DEL APARATO:
El modelo CDJ-400X es de doble voltaje. Puede funcionar con 115 ó
230 voltios. Para cambiar el voltaje, siga los pasos siguientes:
FLY CUE: La función FLY CUE (5) le permite introducir rápidamente
puntos de referencia al apretar un botón. Con el aparato en la
modalidad de reproducción (la luz de reproducción/pausa se
enciende), apriete FLY CUE (5) en el punto donde a Ud le gusta
introducir el punto de referencia (el aparato continúa reproduciendo).
Ahora el punto de referencia está memorizado. Véase la sección
INSTRUCCIONES DE REFERENCIA para mayor información.
1. Coloque la punta de un destornillador en el centro de la CONMUTADOR
DE SELECCIÓN DE VOLTAJE (4) que se encuentra en el panel
posterior.
2. Deslice el conmutador hacia la izquierda para 120 voltios o hacia la
derecha para 230 voltios.
3. No fuerce ni tuerza el conmutador. El hecho de aplicar fuerza excesiva
puede causar daños al equipo. Si el conmutador no se mueve con
suavidad, contacte con un técnico cualificado.
ESTABLECER UN PUNTO DE REFERENCIA: Haga uso del botón
ESTABLECER UN PUNTO DE REFERENCIA (15) para activar los ACCESO
DIRECTO (12) para establecer un punto de referencia. Véase la sección
INSTRUCCIONES DE REFERENCIA para mayor información.
CONEXIONES:
ACCESO DIRECTO: Haga uso de los ACCESO DIRECTO (12) para
seleccionar la canción a reproducir y para establecer el punto de
referencia. Véase la sección INSTRUCCIONES DE REFERENCIA

1. Conecte un extremo de un juego de clavijas tipo RCA en cada uno de
los SALIDA DE LÍNEA (2).
SEAMLESS LOOP: Después de haber memorizado un punto de
referencia, apretando el pulsador CUE-B/EXIT (6) en LA modalidad de
reproducción, se repite la sección situada entre el punto de referencia
y el punto donde se apretó el pulsador CUE-B/EXIT (6). Apriete el
pulsador CUE-B/EXIT (6) otra vez o ponga la reproducción en pausa
para salir (EXIT) de la reproducción repetida. Establezca un nuevo
punto de referencia del exterior del loop para suprimir el loop de la
memoria del aparato.
2. Conecte las clavijas restantes del conector tipo RCA a la entrada INPUT
del aparato a conectar. Si está reproduciendo la señal del CDJ-400X
mediante un receptor, puede conectar las clavijas tipo RCA en la entrada CD
(AC) o AUX del receptor. Si el receptor no tiene entradas CD (AC) o AUX,
use cualquier entrada de nivel de línea (no fonográfica).
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LAS FUNCIONES:
NOTA: Si Ud usa el SET CUE (15) para cambiar un punto de referencia (el punto de
inicio del bucle) durante la reproducción, habrá un ligero retardo la primera vez
cuando Ud reproduzca. Para evitar eso, use el FLY CUE (5) o el CUE (10) para
cambiar el punto de referencia a partir del cual Ud quiere reproducir la música.
MEMORIA ANTI-CHOQUE: Con 6 segundos de MEMORIA ANTICHOQUE, el reproductor CD memoriza 6 segundos de la reproducción
futura para impedir que cualquier movimiento brusco o choque sufrido
por el aparato interrumpa la reproducción y que ésta siga sin problema.
VOLVER: El pulsador VOLVER (7) tiene dos funciones. Para volver a un
loop memorizado anteriormente de la reproducción normal,
apriete el pulsador VOLVER (7) después de memorizar el loop. Para
volver al punto de referencia anteriormente memorizado, apriete el
pulsador VOLVER (7) después de establecer el punto de referencia (si
no tiene loop memorizado).
CONMUTADOR DE ALIMENTACIÓN: Después de asegurarse de
que el CONMUTADOR DE SELECCIÓN DE VOLTAJE (4), que se
encuentra en el panel posterior, está en posición correcta, conecte la
unidad a la red y pulse el CONMUTADOR DE ALIMENTACIÓN (3). La
unidad se conectará.
BANDEJA DE DISCOS: La BANDEJA DE DISCOS (17) es donde se coloca
el disco compacto. Al pulsar el botón ABRIR (24) se abrirá la bandeja.
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUOUS: El hecho de apretar el botón
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) activa la función AUTO CUE. Esta
función produce la pausa del aparato al principio de la música de la
pista siguiente y le permite empezar la reproducción inmediatamente
desde el principio de la música sin espacio en blanco (lo que existe al
principio de cada pista). El hecho de apretar el botón SINGLE-AUTO
ABRIR: Pulse el botón ABRIR (24) para abrir la BANDEJA DE DISCOS (17).
VISUALIZADOR: El VISUALIZADOR (13) muestra los siguientes datos:

CUE/CONTINUE (19) por segunda vez activa la función CONTINUOUS
lo que permitirá una reproducción continua (después de la última pista,
el aparato volverá a la primera pista del disco y seguirá la
reproducción). El hecho de apretar el botón SINGLE-AUTO CUE/
CONTINUE (19) portercera vez desactiva la función CONTINUOUS.

Para utilizar el botón ESTABLECER UN PUNTO DE REFERENCIA (15) y
los botones ACCESO DIRECTO (12) para establecer el punto de
referencia, siga las instrucciones siguientes:
TONO: Apretando el boton TONO (21) se activa el CONTROL TONO
(23). El tono del disco compacto cambiará según la posición del
CONTROL PITCH(23).
1. Apriete el botón ESTABLECER UN PUNTO DE REFERENCIA (15) (el
LED set cue se encenderá). Haga uso de los botones ACCESO
DIRECTO (12) para memorizar el lugar donde Ud quiere que empiece la
reproducción, o sea el punto de referencia, seleccionando la
pista correcta, minuto, segundo y segmento. Apriete PUNTO DE
REFERENCIA (10) para establecer el punto de referencia. Lo puede
hacer en cualquier modalidad, incluso la modalidad de reproducción,
de tal forma que puede establecer el punto de referencia de una pista
mientras que se reproduce otra. Apriete el pulsador CUE (10) otra vez
para volver al punto de referencia memorizado en la modalidad de
pausa y después apriete el pulsador REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA (11)
para reproducir desde el punto de referencia. O, se puede apretar el
pulsador VOLVER (7) para volver y reproducir inmediatamente desde
el punto de referencia memorizado (si el loop no ha sido memorizado).
BOTONES DE AFINACIÓN DEL TONO
: Apretando los botones
BOTONES DE AFINACIÓN DEL TONO (22) se alza el tono
automáticamente a +4% o se baja a –4% con respecto al ajuste
existente del tono. Soltando los botones, vuelve el tono a su
graduación original. Se puede utilizar esta función para igualar la
afinación del tono cuando se mezclan canciones.
CONECTOR DE SALIDA DIGITAL: La conexión de cualquier tipo deDAT,
MD, HARD DRIVE o cualquiera que acepte señales digitales hacia el
conector BNC (1) localizado en el panel posterior, le permite recibir una
señal digital del CD.
PULSADOR TIEMPO MAESTRO: PULSADOR TIEMPO MAESTRO
(25) Este mando mantiene la altura tonal de la música hasta cuando se
cambie el tiempo. Se puede variar el batido sin cambios en el tono
vocal o instrumental.
SUGERENCIA: Para evitar la confusión en el momento de establecer los puntos de
referencia, mantenga la representación del tiempo en el modo de ELAPSED
TIME (TIEMPO TRANSCURRIDO). Cuando se usan los pulsadores DIRECT
ACCESS (acceso directo) para establecer un punto de referencia, la pista, el
minuto, el segundo y la imagen siempre corresponden al tiempo transcurrido.
Cuando la representación de tiempo del aparato corresponde al modo TRACK
REMAIN (Tiempo de pista remanente) o TOTAL REMAIN (Tiempo de disco
remanente), la pista, el minuto, el segundo y la imagen corresponderán al
tiempo remanente y no a la pista, al minuto, al segundo y al segmento
introducidos.
LOS PULSADORES DE EFECTOS : El efecto ZOOM (26) cambia el
tiempo de temporización rotando la RUEDA DE BÚSQUEDA (16), y

permite producir el sonido de un reactor con el uso de un solo lector de
discos compactos. El efecto ECO (27) añade eco a la música. Se
puede ajustar el tiempo de temporización girando la RUEDA DE
BÚSQUEDA (16) a la izquierda o a la derecha. El efecto FILTRO le
permite cambiar la frecuencia de corte de la reproducción cuando la
RUEDA DE BÚSQUEDA (16) está girando. Esto le permite al DJ extraer
y eproducir ciertas partes de la reproducción. EL PULSADOR DE
FRENADO (29) simula el efecto de un tocadiscos que va más despacio
hasta el punto de pararse.
2. Para sintonizar (afinar) el punto de referencia, haga la pausa en el
punto de referencia memorizada (el LED del punto de referencia se
enciende y el LED de REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA parpadea) y después
utilice el RUEDA DE BÚSQUEDA (16) y los BOTONES DE SEARCH (9)
para buscar segmento por segmento (1/75 de un segundo) hasta
donde a Ud. le gustaría empezar la reproducción (el LED del punto de
referencia parpadea durante la búsqueda). Pulse el BOTÓN DE
REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA (11) para memorizar el nuevo punto de
referencia.
INSTRUCCIONES DE MANEJO:
1. Asegúrese de que la VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4), que se encuentra en
el panel posterior, esté en la posición correcta. Conecte el cable de
alimentación y Pulse el CONMUTADOR DE ALIMENTACIÓN (3).
2. Pulse el botón ABRIR (24), coloque un disco compacto en el BANDEJA
DE DISCOS (17) y cierre la puerta de la bandeja.
Nota: Durante la sintonía habrá un efecto de tartamudeo (para ayudarle a encontrar
el ritmo). Este efecto se terminará cuando Ud. Pulse el BOTÓN DE PLAY/PAUSE
(11) para memorizar el punto de referencia. También durante la sintonía de gran
precisión, si Ud. mantiene el dedo sobre los BOTONES DE SEARCH (9), el
aparato buscará rápidamente después de 10 segmentos.
3. Para seleccionar la pista que quiera escuchar, Pulse los SELECCIÓN
DE PISTA (8).
RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS:
4. Pulse el botón de REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA (11) y la unidad comenzará
a reproducir instantáneamente.
INSTRUCCIONES DE PUNTO DE
REFERENCIA:
1. Para memorizar el punto donde desea que comience la reproducción,
el punto de referencia, seleccione la pista correspondiente y luego
apriete el pulsador REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA (11) para que la unidad
entre en la modalidad de reproducción (la LUZ de REPRODUCCIÓN/
PAUSA se encenderá). Escuche el disco compacto y cuando llegue al
sitio aproximado, apriete el pulsador REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA (11)
para que el aparato entre en la modalidad de pausa (la LUZ de
REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA parpadeará). Mueva el RUEDA DE
BÚSQUEDA (16) o utilice los BOTONES DE BÚSQUEDA (9) para
encontrar el sitio exacto donde quiere que comience la reproduccion y
apriete el pulsador REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA (11) para memorizar el
punto de referencia. Apriete el pulsador PUNTO DE REFERENCIA (10)
para volver al punto de referencia memorizado en la modalidad de
pausa y después apriete el pulsador REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA (11)
para reproducir desde el punto de referencia. O, se puede apretar el
pulsador VOLVER (7) para volver y reproducir inmediatamente desde
el punto de referencia memorizado (si el loop no ha sido memorizado).

Si el disco no reproduce, compruebe si el disco está colocado
correctamente (cara impresa hacia arriba). Compruebe además si el
disco tiene suciedad excesiva, o esta rayado, etc.
•
Si el disco gira pero no se oye, compruebe las conexiones de los
cables. Si éstas están bien, compruebe el amplificador y el receptor.
•
Si el disco omite sonidos, compruebe si el disco tiene suciedad o esta
rayado. No dé por supuesto que el defecto está en el reproductor.
Muchos discos compactos se graban fuera de especificaciones y no
funcionan en muchos o todos los reproductores. Antes de enviar la
unidad a ser reparada, pruebe un disco que funcione correctamente.

d’insertion unique-auto), CONTINUE (mode lecture ininterrompue) et 3
AFFICHAGES DE TEMPS différents. Ces affichages sont les suivants:
TEMPS DE PLAGE ÉCOULÉ (ELAPSED), TEMPS DE DISQUE RESTANT
(TOTAL REMAIN), TEMPS DE PLAGE RESTANT (REMAIN). Le temps est
mesuré en MINUTES, SECONDES et TRAMES.

PRÉCAUTIONS:
1. N’utilisez pas ce lecteur de CD là où la température descend endessous de 41° F/5° C ou dépasse 95°F/35°C.
AFFICHAGE PLAYBACK: La fonction AFFICHAGE PLAYBACK (14)
affiche le temps restant à jouer et clignote lentement lorsqu’il reste 30
secondes à jouer. La fonction AFFICHAGE PLAYBACK (14) clignote
rapidement lorsqu’il reste 15 secondes à jouer.
2. Cet appareil ne devrait pas être exposé aux égouttements ou aux
éclaboussures et aucun objet rempli de liquide, p.e. vases, ne devrait
être placé sur l’appareil.

couvercle ou les vis intérieures. Il n’y a pas de pièces réparables par
l’usager à l’intérieur. Pour le service d’entretien/de réparation, veuillez

MOLETTE DE RECHERCHE: Le MOLETTE DE RECHERCHE (16)
possède deux fonctions. Utilisez la MOLETTE DE RECHERCHE (16)
pour apporter des réglages de précision en mode pause. Utilisez la
JOG WHEEL (16) pour caler la vitesse de lecture afin d’obtenir une
synchronisation précise en mode lecture.
7. Ne pas utiliser de solvants chimiques afin de nettoyer l’appareil.
8. Gardez la tête de lecture (laser) propre en maintenant le capot fermé.
D’ARRÊT/D’EFFACEMENT : La touche D’ARRÊT/D’EFFACEMENT
(18) fera cesser la lecture du CD.
9. Conservez le présent manuel dans un endroit sûr. Ce dernier pourrait
vous servir ultérieurement.
HEURE: La touche HEURE (20) (touche de réglage de temps) assure la
commutation de l’affichage du temps entre trois choix disponibles qui
figurent sous AFFICHAGE.
CERTIFICATIONS DE SÉCURITÉ:
REPÈRE: L'appareil étant en mode lecture (la DEL LECTURE/PAUSE
s'allume) et après avoir établi le point de repère, le fait d'appuyer sur la
touche REPÈRE (10) fera entrer le lecteur CD en mode pause (la DEL
LECTURE/PAUSE clignote) au point de repère mémorisé (la DEL du
point de repère jaune s'allume). Le fait de tenir le doigt sur la touche
REPÈRE (10) change la fonction REPÈRE (10) en PREVIEW ce qui vous
permettra d'écouter la musique à partir du point de repère. La libération
de la touche REPÈRE (10) vous renvoie au point repère préalablement
enregistré.

CHOIX DE LA TENSION DU SECTEUR:
FLY CUE: La fonction FLY CUE (5) vous permet d’introduire des points
de repère en un clin d’oeil en appuyant sur une touche. L’appareil
étant en mode lecture (la DEL LECTURE/PAUSE s'allume), appuyez
sur la touche FLY CUE (5) au point où vous voulez introduire le point
de repère (l’appareil continuera à jouer). Maintenant, le point de repère
est mémorisé. Voir la section CONSIGNES D’INSERTION pour de plus
amples informations.
Le modèle CDJ-400X est un appareil à double tension. Il fonctionne en 115 ou
230 volts. Pour régler la tension appropriée, suivez les étapes ci-après:
1. Placez la tête d’un tournevis au centre du VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4)
qui se trouve sur le panneau arrière.
2. Glissez l’interrupteur à gauche sur 115 volts ou poussez-le à droite sur 230
volts.
3. Ne forcez pas ou ne tordez pas le sélecteur de tension. Une force
excessive pourrait endommager l’appareil. Si l’interrupteur ne se
déplace pas facilement, prenez contact avec un technicien compétent.
SET CUE: Utilisez la touche SET CUE (15) pour activer les D’ACCÈS
DIRECT (12) (touches d’accès direct) pour établir un point de
référence. Voir la section CONSIGNES D’INSERTION pour de
plus amples informations.
CONNEXIONS:
D’ACCÈS DIRECT: Utilisez les touches D’ACCÈS DIRECT (12) pour
sélectionner la plage à lire et régler un point de référence. Voir
la section CONSIGNES D’INSERTION pour de plus amples informations.
SEAMLESS LOOP: Après la mémorisation d’un point de repère, le fait
d’appuyer sur la touche CUE-B/EXIT (6) en mode lecture permet de
fermer la boucle que vous avez sélectionné et répète automatiquement
ce passage. Appuyez de nouveau sur la touche CUE-B/EXIT (6) ou
mettez la lecture sur pause pour sortir (EXIT) de la lecture répétée de
la boucle. Indiquez un nouveau point de repère de l’extérieur de la
boucle pour effacer la boucle de la mémoire de l’appareil.
1. Connectez un jeu de cordon RCA à la sortie LINE OUTPUT (2).
2. Reliez l’extrémité de ce cordon à n’importe quelle entrée ligne, équipée
de connecteurs RCA, de votre console de mixage. Si vous utilisez le
CDJ-400X par l’intermédiaire d’un ampli/tuner, vous pouvez connecter
le CDJ-400X à l’entrée CD ou AUX de votre ampli/tuner. S’il n’y a pas
d’entrées CD ou AUX, utilisez n’importe quelle entrée de niveau ligne
(l’entrée phono n’accepte pas les sources de niveau ligne).
REMARQUE: Si vous utilisez la touche SET CUE (15) pour changer le point de
repère (le point initial de la boucle) pendant la reproduction, il y aura un
léger retard la première fois que vous reproduisez la boucle. Évitez ceci
en employant le FLY CUE (5) ou le REPÈRE (10) pour changer le point de
repère à partir duquel vous voulez commencer.
DESCRIPTIONS DES FONCTIONS:
MÉMOIRE DE PROTECTION ELECTRONIQUE ANTICHOC: Avec 6
secondes de DE PROTECTION ELECTRONIQUE ANTICHOC, le lecteur
CD mémorise 6 secondes de lecture future afin de prévenir toute
interruption de lecture due à un choc ou à un mouvement brusque.
RETOUR: La touche RETOUR (7) a deux fonctions. Pour revenir à la
boucle mémorisée antérieurement de la lecture normale, appuyez sur la
touche RETOUR (7) après avoir mémorisé la boucle. Pour revenir au
point de repère précédemment mémorisé et pour commencer la lecture
immédiate à partir de ce point, appuyez sur la touche RETOUR (7)
après avoir établi le point de repère (si aucune boucle n’est mémorisée).
INTERRUPTEUR GÉNÉRAL: Après s’être assuré que le VOLTAGE
SELECTOR (4), qui se trouve sur le panneau arrière, est
convenablement réglé, branchez l’appareil et appuyez sur le
INTERRUPTEUR GÉNÉRAL (3). L’appareil sera sous tension.
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUOUS: Le fait d’appuyer sur la touche
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) activera la fonction AUTO CUE.
Cette fonction provoque l’arrêt automatique de la lecture à l’issue de
chaque plage lue. L’appareil se met automatiquement en mode pause et
se cale au début de la plage suivante en évitant les blancs car ce
TIROIR DE CHARGEMENT: Le TIROIR DE CHARGEMENT (17) permet
de placer le CD dans l’appareil. Le fait d’appuyer sur la touche
D’OUVERTURE (24) ouvrira le tiroir de chargement.

dernier se cale à la première note. Le fait d’appuyer une seconde fois
sur la touche SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) activera la fonction
CONTINUOUS (EN CONTINU) ce qui fera jouer l’appareil sans
interruption entre chaque plage (après lecture de la dernière plage,
l’appareil retournera à la première plage du disque et continuera la
lecture). Le fait d’appuyer une troisième fois sur la touche SINGLEAUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) désactive la fonction CONTINUOUS.
ET/OU
Pour utiliser la touche SET CUE (15) et les touches D’ACCÈS DIRECT
(12) afin de mémoriser un point de repère, suivez les consignes
suivantes:
1. Appuyez sur le bouton SET CUE (15) (la DEL s’allumera). Utilisez les
touches D’ACCÈS DIRECT (12) afin de mémoriser l’endroit où vous
souhaitez commencer la lecture, c’est à dire, le point de repère, en
choisissant la plage, minute, seconde et trame. Appuyez sur
REPÈRE (10) pour valider le point de repère. Vous pouvez effectuer
cette opération y compris en mode lecture; ainsi vous pouvez
mémoriser un point de repère tout en continuant la lecture d’une plage.
Appuyez de nouveau sur la touche REPÈRE (10) pour revenir au point
de repère mémorisé dans le mode pause, puis, appuyez sur la touche
LECTURE/PAUSE (11) pour commencer la lecture à partir du point de
repère. Ou vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche RETOUR (7) pour
revenir au point de repère mémorisé et pour commencer la lecture
immédiatement à partir de ce point (si la boucle n’a pas été mémorisée).
RÉGLAGE DE VITESSE: Le fait d’appuyer sur la touche RÉGLAGE DE
VITESSE (21) active le COMMANDE DE REGLAGE DE VITESSE (23).
Le son du CD changera en fonction de la position du COMMANDE DE
REGLAGE DE VITESSE (23).
: Le fait d’appuyer sur les COURBURE DU
COURBURE DU SON
SON (22) (touches de rattrapage) accélérera automatique la vitesse de
lecture de +4% ou la réduira automatiquement de -4% par rapport au
réglage existant. Le fait de relâcher les touches permet de retrouver
instantanément le réglage de base. Vous pouvez utiliser cette fonction
pour caler la vitesse de lecture lorsque vous mixez des morceaux
différents.
SUGGESTION: Pour éviter toute confusion lorsque vous enregistrez vos
points de repère, gardez l’affichage du temps dans le mode TEMPS
ÉCOULÉ. Lorsque vous utilisez les touches DIRECT ACCESS (Accès
direct) pour établir un point de repère, la plage, la minute, la seconde et la
trame appartiennent toujours au temps écoulé. Si l’affichage du
temps est en mode TRACK REMAIN (Temps restant sur la plage) ou en
mode TOTAL REMAIN (Temps total restant sur le disque), la plage, la
minute, la seconde et la trame affichées correspondront au temps restant
sur la plage en cours de lecture et non pas aux indications (plage, minute,
seconde et trame) que vous avez indiquées afin de mémoriser votre point
de repère.
CONNECTEUR DE SORTIE NUMÉRIQUE: L’appareil est équipé de
connecteurs BNC (1) situés en face arrière, permettant d’y connecter
DAT, MD, Disque Dur (HD) ou tout autre support acceptant des
signaux numériques en provenance des CDs lus par l’appareil.
MASTER TEMPO: MASTER TEMPO (25) vous permet de maintenir la
hauteur de la musique même si le rhythme change. Vous pouvez faire
varier le battement sans changer la tonalité vocale ou instrumentale.
LES TOUCHE EFFETS: L’effet ZOOM (26) change le délai de
temporisation en tournant la roue pas-à-pas, ce qui mélange une
courte temporisation avec la reproduction. Cette fonction vous permet
de produire le son d’un réacteur avec un seul lecteur de CD. L’effet
ECHO (27) ajoute un echo à la musique. Le temps de temporisation
peut être ajusté en tournant la roue pas-à-pas à gauche ou à droite.
L’effet FILTRE (28) vous permet de changer la fréquence coupée de la
reproduction lorsque la roue pas-à-pas est tournée. Ceci permet au DJ
d’extraire et de reproduire certaines parties de la reproduction. La
touche FREIN (29) simule l’effet d’un tourne-disque freinant jusqu’à
l’arrêt.
2. Pour régler précisément un point de repère, mettez l’appareil en mode
pause à l’endroit ou se situe le point de repère mémorisé (la DEL du
point de repère s’allume et la DEL de LECTURE/PAUSE clignote); puis,
utilisez la JOG WHEEL (16) ou les SEARCH (9) pour effectuer un
calage très précis (au 1/75ème de seconde) jusqu’à l’endroit où vous
souhaitez débuter la lecture (la DEL de repère clignotera durant la
recherche). Appuyez sur le bouton LECTURE/PAUSE (11) pour
mémoriser ce nouveau point de repère.
Remarque: Durant le réglage précis, il y aura un effet de bégaiement (pour
vous aider à trouver la mesure). Cet effet s’arrêtera lorsque vous appuierez
sur le bouton LECTURE/PAUSE (11) pour mémoriser le point de repère.
Ainsi, durant le réglage précis, si vous gardez le doigt sur les boutons
SEARCH (9), l’appareil fera rapidement la recherche après 10 frames.
CONSIGNES D’EXPLOITATION:
1. Assurez-vous que le VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4) (sélecteur de tension
à glissière) qui se trouve sur le panneau arrière, est mis sur la tension
appropriée. Branchez l’appareil et appuyez sur le INTERRUPTEUR
GÉNÉRAL (3).
DÉPANNAGE:
2. Appuyez sur l’ D’OUVERTURE (24), placez un CD sur le TIROIR DE
CHARGEMENT (17) et fermez la porte du tiroir.

Si l’appareil n’arrive pas à lire un disque, vérifiez si ce dernier a été
chargé correctement dans le tiroir de lecture (côté écrit vers le haut).
Contrôlez aussi le disque pour s’assurer qu’il n’y a pas de saletés
excessives, de rayures,etc..
4. Appuyez sur le LECTURE/PAUSE (11) et l’appareil jouera
instantanément.
•
Si le disque tourne mais qu’il n’y a pas de son, vérifiez les connexions
du câble. Si celles-ci sont bien faites, contrôlez votre amplificateur ou
votre récepteur.
CONSIGNES D’INSERTION:
•
Si le CD tourne mais que la lecture ne commence pas, vérifiez que le
CD est exempt de poussières et/ou rayures. Ne mettez pas en cause
le lecteur de CD avant d’avoir effectuer ces vérifications. De nombreux
disques CD sont enregistrés selon des normes incompatibles et ils
sauteront sur la plupart ou sur tous lecteurs de CD. Avant d’envoyer
l’appareil pour réparation, faites un essai avec un CD dont vous êtes
certain de la qualité d’enregisrement et de gravure.
3. Appuyez sur les SAUT DE PISTE (8) pour choisir la piste que vous
désirez entendre.
1. Pour mémoriser l’endroit à partir duquel vous souhaitez commencer la
lecture, le point de repère, choisissez la plage correcte, et appuyez
ensuite sur la touche LECTURE/PAUSE (11) de sorte que l’appareil
passe en mode lecture (la DEL LECTURE/PAUSE s’allumera).
Écoutez le CD et lorsqu’il s’approche de l’endroit approximatif, appuyez
sur la touche LECTURE/PAUSE (11) de sorte que l’appareil passe en
mode pause (la DEL LECTURE/PAUSE clignotera). Déplacez le
MOLETTE DE RECHERCHE (16) ou utilisez les touches RECHERCHE
(9) pour retrouver l’endroit précis à partir duquel vous voulez com
mencer la lecture et appuyez sur la touche LECTURE/PAUSE (11) pour
mémoriser le point de repère. Appuyez sur la touche REPÈRE (10)
pour revenir au point de repère mémorisé dans le mode pause, puis,
appuyez sur la touche LECTURE/PAUSE (11) pour commencer la
lecture à partir du point de repère. Ou vous pouvez appuyer sur la
touche RETOUR (7) pour revenir au point de repère mémorisé et pour

Pour utiliser FLY CUE (5) afin d’introduire le point de repère, suivez les
instructions ci-après:
1. L’appareil étant en mode lecture (la DEL LECTURE/PAUSE s’allume),
appuyez sur la touche FLY CUE (5) au point où vous voulez introduire
le point de repère (l’appareil continuera à jouer). Maintenant, le point de
repère est mémorisé. Appuyez sur la touche RETOUR (7) et l’appareil
commencera la lecture immédiatement à partir du point de repère. Ou
vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche REPÈRE (10) pour revenir au point
de repère mémorisé dans le mode pause, puis, appuyez sur la touche
LECTURE/PAUSE (11) pour commencer la lecture instantanément à
partir du point de repère.
