7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or
other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A
polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug
has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are
provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an
electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the
manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when
moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods
of time.
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the
apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is
damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the
apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has
been dropped.

2 TRANSPORTING THE PLAYER
Befo re transporti ng the playe r, be sure to remove the d isc an d turn off the
power, then unplug the power cord .
3 PLACE OF INSTALLATION
Sele ct a stable pl ace ne ar the TV or stereo system to w hich you are going to
connect the player.
Do n ot place the player on top of a T V or color mo nitor.
Install the player away f rom cassette decks or other devices which are eas ily
affected by magn etic fo rces.
4 DO NOT PLACE OBJECTS ON THE TOP OF THE PLAYER
Do n ot exp ose th is apparatus to rain, mois ture, drippin g or splashin g and no
obje cts filled with liquid s, suc h as vases, s hall be placed on the app aratus.
5 TURN OFF THE POWER WHEN NOT USING THE PLAYER
If the playe r is co nnected to your TV but not in us e, swi tch the powe r off. I t can
avoid inter ferenc e to your nor mal TV pictu re.

is ex tremel y low (about-10 C [ 14 F] o r lowe r) or e xtreme ly high (about 60 C
[140 F] or h igher) , such as ins ide the pass enger cabin or trun k in

or quality of the batter y pack .

Ple ase tu rn on the engine an d then connect with the car power cab le for u sing.
8 CL EANIN G THE PLAY ER
No rmally clean the pl ayer with a soft, dry cloth. For to ugh di rt, app ly som e neutral
detergent diluted in 5 to 6 pa rts wa ter to a soft c loth, wring out thor oughly.
W ipe off the dirt, then wipe off the player with a dry clo th. No te that alcoh ol,
thinner, benzen e, insecticid es, etc ., may cause the p rint or coatin g to pe el off.
Al so avo id leav ing rub ber or plasti c prod ucts in conta ct with the player fo r long
periods of time , as this may damag e the cabine t. Whe n usin g chem ically treate d
cloths, re ad the cloth's instructions carefully. Always unplug the power co rd from
the pow er out let before cleaning the pla yer.

NOTES ON USING THE REMOTE CONTROL UNIT
Do not drop or step on the remote control unit or subject it to shocks.
Note that the remote control unit may no t work if there are obstacl es between it
and the remote sensor.
Do not expose the remote sensor to strong light. Doing so may make operation
imposs ible.
Use the remote control unit with in the specified operating range.

OPERATION OF THE BATTERY PACK
Ch arge the battery pack ful ly before using it for the fi rst time.
When the s urround ing temp erature is high, t he batte ry pack m ay som etimes b e
un usable due to ac tivation of protec tion circ uitry.
When the t ablet DV D player is used with the battery pack and has no disc or s tops
for about 1 0 minute s with power on, it will turn off aut omatica lly. (Auto power o ff)
Th e battery pack and the ta blet DVD player become hot durin g use. This is not
m alfunctio n.
When the b attery p ack is no t to be u sed for a long pe riod, be sure to re move it from
the tablet D VD play er. If the battery pack is l eft attached, con tinual flo w of weak
cu rrent ren ders it o verdisch arged and event ually unusable e ven whe n you try to
ch arge it la ter.
If the table t DVD pla yer is sw itched on while the batt ery pack is not fu lly charg ed,
the operati on may s ometim es be un stable. B e sure to charge the batt ery pack fully
be fore use .
STORAGE
T he batte ry pack should b e stored under a surroun ding temperature betwee n 15 C
[ 59 F] and 25 C[77 F]. Avo id storin g it unde r extrem ely low t emperat ure, in a place
w ith high tempera ture and high hu midity or in a plac e subject to soo t, etc.
W hen the battery pack is s tored fo r a long period, a t least once a year it is
r ecomme nded to discharg e it fully on the t ablet DV D player, rechar ge it fully again
a nd store it.
SERVICE LIFE AND DISPOSAL
When the cha rging tim e or ava ilable op eration t ime bec omes ex tremely short,
the battery ma y reach the end of its life . The bat tery pac k can be used for about
300 c ycles of rechargi ng and o perations.
To dis pose of a used b attery pa ck, wrap a piece of tape around the terminal
sectio n and tr eat it in c omplian ce with y our loca l regulat ions.
Caution:
Dang er of exp losion if battery i s incorre ctly replaced.
Repla ce only with the same or equivale nt type.

USING THE BATTERY

The temperature during recharging affects the recharging efficiency.
Recharging is in the most efficient state among temperatures from 10 C [50 F] to
30 C [86 F].
Place the battery charger in a place within this temperature range whenever
possible.
Insert the batter y pack with the arrow head upward to the battery
compartment according to arrow direction.
If the battery pack is locked, a "click" will be heard.
Close the battery compartment cover. Now the player can be
operated.

You can press the NUMBER buttons to select the file you want to play. For

When playing JPEG pictures, press the PROGRAM button to choose the pictures

When a JPEG list screen is displayed, press the MENU button, the screen

previous page. You can also select and play a picture in full screen by pressing
its number.
In order to return back JPEG List screen, press TITLE button.

16 : 9 (Wide Screen): Choose this setting if your DVD player is connected to a wide screen

4 : 3 LB (Letter Box): Choose this setting if your DVD player is connected to a normal ratio TV.
You'll see the movies in their original aspect ratio (height-to-width ratio). You'll see the entire
frame of the movie. The movie might appear with black bars at the top and bottom of the
screen.
4 : 3 PS (Pan & Scan): Choose this setting if your DVD player is connected to a normal ratio
TV. You can fill the movie to the entire screen of your TV. This might mean that parts of the
picture (the left and right edges) won't be seen.

Highlight the AUDIO OUT option, and press the Arrow buttons to choose the audio
output mode you prefer. Press ENTER to confirm:
There are 3 optional audio output modes: SPDIF/OFF, SPDIF / RAW and SPDIF/ PCM.
SPDIF/OFF: Choose this setting to output analog signal, and there will be no signal
outputted from coaxial jack.
SPDIF/ RAW: Choose this setting if your DVD player is connected to a power
amplifier with a coaxial cable. When playing a disc recorded with Dolby Digital,
and MPEG audio formats, the corresponding digital signals will be outputted
from the Coaxial Output jack.
SPDIF / PCM: Choose this setting if your DVD player is connected to a 2-channel
digital stereo amplifier. When playing a disc recorded with Dolby Digital and MPEG
audio formats, audio signals will be modulated into a 2-channel PCM signal,
and it will be outputted from the Coaxial Output jack .
