lift and transport the

installing the product.

wind (salt spray) directly.

product. Corrosion, particularly on
the condenser and evaporator fins,
could cause product malfunction or
inefficient operation.

for long periods of time.

Do not block the inlet or
outlet of air flow.
Do not use the product for special purposes, such as
preserving foods, works of art, etc. It is a consumer
air conditioner, not a precision refrigeration system.

detergents, solvents, etc.
Do not touch the metal parts of
the product when removing the
air filter. They are very sharp!

Always insert the filter securely.
Clean the filter every two weeks
or more often if necessary.
Do not insert hands or other
objects through the air inlet or

the air conditioner and could cause
product malfunction or damage.

remote control with new ones
of the same type. Do not mix
old and new batteries or

Prior to Operation
Preparing for operation
1. Contact an installation specialist for installation.
2. Plug in the power plug properly.
3. Use a dedicated circuit.
4. Do not use an extension cord.
5. Do not start/stop operation by plugging/unplugging the power cord.
6. If the cord/plug is damaged, replace it with only an authorized replacement part.
Usage
1. Being exposed to direct airflow for an extended period of time could be hazardous to
your health. Do not expose occupants, pets, or plants to direct airflow for extended
periods of time.
2. Due to the possibility of oxygen deficiency, ventilate the room when used together
with stoves or other heating devices.
3. Do not use this air conditioner for non-specified special purposes (e.g. preserving
precision devices, food, pets, plants, and art objects). Such usage could damage the
items.
Cleaning and maintenance
1. Do not touch the metal parts of the unit when removing the filter. Injuries can occur
when handling sharp metal edges.
2. Do not use water to clean inside the air conditioner. Exposure to water can destroy
the insulation, leading to possible electric shock.
3. When cleaning the unit, first make sure that the power and breaker are turned off.
The fan rotates at a very high speed during operation. There is a possibility of injury if
the unitʼs power is accidentally triggered on while cleaning inner parts of the unit.

To minimize the risk of electric shock, you must alway plug into a grounded oulet.
Preferred method
Ensure proper ground
exists before use
WARNING: Do not cut or remove the grounding prong from the
power wire.
WARNING: Attaching the adapter ground terminal to the wall
receptacle cover screw does not ground the appliance unless the
cover screw is metal and not insulated, and the wall receptacle is
grounded through the house wiring.

This air-conditioner is equipped with wired remote controller basically. But if you want to be available with
wireless remote controller, you pay for it.

1. START/STOP BUTTON
Operation starts when this button is pressed and stops when the
button is pressed again.
2. OPERATION MODE SELECTION BUTTON
Used to select the operation mode.
3. ROOM TEMPERATURE
SETTING BUTTONS
Used to select the room temperature.
4. INDOOR FAN SPEED SELECTOR
Used to select fan speed in four steps
low, medium, high and CHAOS.
5. JET COOL
Used to start or stop the speed cooling/heating.
(Speed cooling/heating operates super high fan speed.)
6. CHAOS SWING BUTTON
Used to stop or start louver movement and set the desired up/down
airflow direction.

Used to circulate the room air without cooling or heating.
12. ROOM TEMPERATURE CHECKING BUTTON
Used to check the room temperature.

Used to start or stop the plasma-purification function.

Used prior to using modes printed in blue at the bottom of buttons.
h The wireless remote controller does not operate the swirl mode and super low fan speed.
CAUTION:of handling the Remote Controller
• Aim at the signal receiver on the wired remote controller so as to operate.
• The remote control signal can be received at a distance of up to about 7m.
• Be sure that there are no obstructions between the remote controller and the signal receptor.
• Do not drop or throw the remote controller.
• Do not place the remote controller in a location exposed to direct sunlight, or near the heating unit, or
any other heat source.
• Block a strong light over the signal receptor with a curtain or etc. so as to prevent the abnormal
operation. (ex:electronic quick start, ELBA, inverter type fluorescent lamp)

out the air that doesn't have much temperature
difference with indoor.
v If you want to set the temperature lower than now, please set the step -1 or -2.
And if you want to rise temperature, please set the step 1 or 2.
v Step 0 means normal condition.

Function setting : Filter Sign Clear
This function is to clear the indicator of
indoor filter cleaning.

Setting Current Time
Operating Instructions
Programming : Setting Simple Reservation
In case of there is not any reservation setup on system, it is possible to make a SIMPLE reservation
on indoor unit.
1. Press
button to enter the
Programming mode
(the
segment flashing)
If the indoor is ON, we can make the reservation
for turning OFF. In reserve, if the indoor is OFF,
we can set the timer for turning ON. The
reservation time is from 1 to 7 hours.
2. Press
button to adjust
reservation time.
3. Press
button to finish setting.
4. In case of using wireless remote controller, the
time reservation setting unit is every 10 minutes.
With wired remote controller, this value is
adjusted by every hour. But, in fact, it can
control with accuracy up to 10 minutes.
Ex.) By wireless remote controller we can set
the timer for turning OFF after 1 hour 10
minutes. It displays 2 hour on wired remote
controller but in fact, it will operate this
command after 1 hour 10 minutes.
5. Adjust the reservation time after finish
reservation setting will release the previous one.

This function is able to turn off Air conditioner when sleeping or after some hours.

Please set a suitable time for sleep reservation (turning cooling for long time may be harmful to
health)

This function is able to turn air conditioner ON after a setting time.

Ventilation setting (optional)
Incase of there is linkage between ventilator and air conditioner, it is able to control this ventilator.
1. Press Ventilation button to turn ON/ OFF the
ventilator.
2. In case of operating the ventilator, the
ʻVentilationʼ icon will be displayed.

3. When turn off ventilator, the ʻVentilationʼ icon
disappears.
4. Please refer the Ventilation instruction in
function setting menu in order to connect a
ventilator to air conditioner.
In case of not-connected ventilator, this ventilation

Forced Operation
Operation procedures when the remote control can't be used.
Press the tact switch (Forced operation) for 2 seconds.
If you want to stop operation, press again the tact switch.
In case the power comes on again after power failure
on the Forced Operation mode, the operating conditions
are automatically set as follows:
During Forced Operation, the initial mode continues.

Auto Restart Function
In case the power comes on again after a power failure, Auto Restarting Operation is the function to operate
procedures automatically to the previous operating conditions.
Helpful information
Fan speed and cooling capacity.
The cooling capacity indicated in the specification is the
value when the fan speed is set to high, and the capacity will
be lower at low or medium fan speed.
High fan speed is recommended when you wish to cool the
room quickly.

with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use bleach or abrasives.

1 Remove the Air filters.
n Take hold of the tab and pull slightly
forward to remove the filter.
The air filters behind the front grille should be
checked and cleaned once every 2 weeks or more
often if neccessary.

parts of the indoor unit.
It may cause an injury.

n If dirt is conspicuous, wash with a neutral

3 After washing with water, dry well
in the shade.
n Do not expose the air filter to direct
sunlight or heat from a fire when
drying it.
4 Install the air filter.
Outdoor Unit
The heat exchanger coils and panel vents of the outdoor unit
should be checked regularly. If clogged with dirt or soot, the
heat exchanger and panel vents may be professionally
steam cleaned.

When air conditioner is not going to be used for a long time.
1. Operate the air conditioner at the following settings for 2 to 3 hours.
• Type of operation: Fan operation mode.(Refer to page 23.)
• This will dry out the internal mechanisms.
2. Turn off the breaker.
CAUTION Turn off the circuit breaker when the air conditioner is not going to be used
for a long time. Dirt may collect and may cause a fire.
Helpful information
The air filters and your electiric bill.
If the air filters become clogged with dust, the cooling capacity will drop, and 6% of the electricity used to
operate the air conditioner will be wasted.
When the air conditioner is to be used again.
1. Clean the air filter and install it in the indoor unit.
(Refer to page 30 for cleaning it.)
2. Check that the air inlet and outlet of the indoor/outdoor unit are not blocked.
3. Check that the ground wire is connected correctly. It may be connect to the indoor unit side.
