DETERGENT DISPENSER The detergent dispenser is divided into 4 compartments: • Compartment I, is for prewash powder detergent. The recommended quantity is 60 gm of detergent (for 4,5 kg of laundry). • Compartment II, is for wash powder detergent. The recommended quantity is 120 gm of detergent (for 4,5 kg of laundry). • The compartment is for bleach. The recommended quantity is 7 cl. • The compartment is for fabric conditioners, scenting agents and special additives. The recommended quantity is 5 cl. The detergent compartment has two guidance lines: • RECOMMENDED (lower line). This indicates the recommended level for the prewash and wash compartments. • MAX. This indicates the maximum level which should never be exceeded. MAXIMUM (wash) MAXIMUM (prewash) MAXIMUM (bleach and scenting agent) RECOMMENDED 32 VARIABLE CAPACITY This washing machine automatically adapts the water level to the type and quantity of clothes to be washed. So it is possible to obtain a «customised» wash, even in terms of energy. This system reduces water and energy consumption and provides an appreciable reduction in wash time. PROGRAMME SELECTION WHEN SELECTING A PROGRAMME, ENSURE THAT THE START/STOP BUTTON IS NOT ACTIVATED. To select a programme: • Programmes are selected by means of the corresponding control knob (A). See the table of programmes. • Select the wash temperature by means of the corresponding control knob. • Select the different options available by pressing the corresponding buttons. 33 CONTROL DESCRIPTION CTS 83 T Programme selector knob ........................................................... Do not exceed the maximum temperature recommended for each cycle in the table of programmes. ˙ D. SPIN VARIATION BUTTON 800/400 When this button is pressed, the spin after the last rinse will be at 400 r.p.m. instead of 800 r.p.m. N.B.: The spin in programmes for mixed, synthetic and delicate fabrics is always at 400 r.p.m. E. The other programs should be selected for clothes which are only lightly solied or are particularly delicate. 36 NOTE: 1. If the wash load is very dirty it is best to reduce the load weight to 3 kg. 2. Programmes 1, 2 have an automatic bleaching option. Simply place the bleaching agent in the compartment. 3. The washing machine is designed to incorporate fabric softener automatically in the last rinse of each washing cycle. RAPID 32 MINUTE PROGRAMME The rapid 32 minute programme enables a complete washing cycle for a maximum 2 kg wash at a temperature of 50°C to be carried out in 30 minutes. The temperature of the wash can be reduced via the temperature selector knob. The soap powder must be loaded into the pre-wash dispenser (compartment I). The maximum amount of soap powder which can be used for this programme is indicated by the 32 minute mark in the dispenser. The rapid 32 minute programme can also be used as a prewash cycle in the case of a heavily soiled wash, following with the main programme as desired. 37
