Konformitátszeichen gemá8 Richtlinie 98/37/EWG NOTE - The machine can be supplied with some of the components already fitted. 1.1 | Move the upper part of the handle (1) already pre- assembled, in the work position and block it in place using the handles (2). The washers (3) on the handles (2 ) must be mounted so they keep the top part (1) firmly fixed to the two lower sec- tions of the handle (4 and 5), without too much effort required to tighten or release them. Loosen the knobs (6) to ad just the height of the handle, when the desired height has been reached, firmly tighten the knobs (6) again. Fix the electrical cable in place using the clamps ( 7 if fore- seen), so that the height of the handle can be regulated without excessively tightening the cable. The correct position of the electric cable hook (8) is as shown. 1.2a] For a cloth grass-catcher, insert the frame (1) into the sack (2) and attach the plastic bars (3) using a screw- driver, as shown in the drawing. 1.2b| For a plastic and cloth grass-catcher: With the plastic part (11) upside-down, fasten the frame (12) to the plastic part using the screws (13). Insert the frame (12) into the sack (14) and attach the plas- tic profile (15) with the help of a screwdriver, as shown in the drawing. Fit the edge of the cloth (16) right into the groove of the plastic part (11), starting 5-7 mm from the ends. Fit the handle (17) onto the top of the grass-catcher so that it clicks into place. 2.1 | The engine is controlled by a dual action switch to prevent starting it accidentally. To start, press the button (2) and pull the lever (1). The engine automatically stops when the lever (1) is released. 2.2] The height is adjusted using the special lever (1). MAKE THIS ADJUSTMENT ONLY WHEN THE BLADE IS STOPPED. 2.3 | Your lawnmower features a telescopic system for adjusting the handie so that you can position both the grip and the controls at the desired height. This is done by unscrewing the knobs (1) and pulling or pushing the grip on the handle (2) until you reach the desired height. Tighten the knobs (1) securely when you have finished. 3.1 | Lift the stone-guard and attach the rigid grass- catcher (1) or cloth grass-catcher (2) correctly as shown in the drawings. 3.2 | Connect the extension cable correctly as indicated. Start the engine by pressing the safety push-button (2) and pulling the switchgear lever (1). 3.3 | While cutting, ensure that the electric cable is always behind you and on the area of grass already cut. The lawn will look better if it is always cut to the same height and in alternate directions. 3.4 | When you have finishing mowing, release the lever (1). FIRST disconnect the cable extension from the supply socket (2) and THEN from the side of the lawnmower’s switchgear (3). WAIT FOR THE BLADE TO STOP before carrying out any type of work on the machine. IMPORTANT NOTE Should the motor stop during use through overheating, wait about 5 minutes before re-starting. IMPORTANT - Regular, careful maintenance is essen- tial for keeping the safety level and original perform- ance of the machine unchanged in time. Store the lawnmower in a dry place. 1) Wear strong working gloves during any cleaning, main- tenance or adjustment operation on the machine. 2) Remove the grass debris after each cut and mud accu- mulated inside the chassis to avoid their drying and thus making the next start-up difficult. 3) Always ensure that ventilation openings are kept clear of debris. 4.1 | All operations on the blade should be carried out at a specialized centre. Note for specialized centres: Reassemble the blade (2) as shown in the drawing and tighten the central screw (1) using a torque wrench set to 16-20 Nm. 4.2 | Do not use forced water and avoid wetting the motor or the electrical components. Do not use harsh products for cleaning the chassis.
