Turn off power before removing or installing connectors. 2. For use on solid copper wire only. 3. Strip wires if insulated 1” (25 mm). Note: Through-wire must be stripped full length. 4. Insert through-wire in connector first. 5. Hold remaining wires together with ends even. 6. Pre-twisting acceptable, but not required. Screw on connector – push wires firmly into connector when starting. 7. Insert wires into connector and twist clockwise until tight. Typical Example A. System grounding wire B. System grounding wire C. Through-wire to box ground D. Through-wire to device ground Note: If through-wire is a jumper, be sure wire extends below skirt 6” minimum.
