Omega LVN-141/LVN-142 is a vertical level switch with a standard NPT female boss in tank top, bottom, or side. It operates in any attitude - from the vertical to a 30° inclination - with lead wires up or down. The standard IPS pipe extends units to any intermediate level in the tank.
This level switch is moisture protected, but it is important to take precautions to prevent moisture from entering the switch and causing a short. The manual suggests pitching conduit away from the level switch, using non-conductive silicone oil to fill a vertical run of extension pipe, or using an appropriate potting to fill the vertical run.
