Mounting LM-3010F/PM to your POS Terminals
LM-3010F/PM is the rear-mount monitor compatible with Posiflex POS
terminals attached to Gen 6/7/8/7E/8E bases. However, due to the base type of
your terminals, the installation steps would be slightly different. Below are
relevant instructions in hope of offering you practical assistance with
installation. Please ensure the POS system is completely shut down before
proceeding to mount the monitor onto the terminals,
POS terminals with Gen 7/8/7E/8E Bases

Activating Power to VGA Port for LM-3010F/PM via BIOS
To ensure LM-3010F/PM is able to extract power out of VGA port of the
Posiflex terminals, it is significant to utilize BIOS to manually enable the
power output to VGA port which the monitor is connected to before the LM3010F/PM could start up. However, if the monitor you are using is not
manufactured by Posiflex, it is strongly suggested to deactivate the power to
VGA port of your terminal in preventing the monitor from being damaged.
Please go through the below instructions to activate the power output via
BIOS settings for LM-3010F/PM. Also, the POS terminal has to be completely
shut down before you intend to connect the cable into VGA port of the
terminal.
1. Make sure that LM-3010F/PM is well connected to the Posiflex terminals
using the VGA cable.
2. Press the power button of the POS to power on the terminal. During the
boot process, hit F2 key to access BIOS setting.
3. Use arrow keys to check the setting of the VGA port used by LM3010F/PM. If it is set to be disabled, hit Enter key to enable VGA port.
4. Switch to Exit tab and select Exit Saving Changes option. Choose Yes
in Setup Confirmation message box to save your configurations.
5. After rebooting your POS, make sure LM-3010F/PM is successfully
initiated.
Powering ON/OFF LM-3010F/PM Series
Instead of using an external power supply, LM-3010F/PM primarily depends
on Posiflex POS terminals as primary power sources. In such a case, the
monitor will be automatically initiated when the terminal is powered up, and
shut down immediately after you power the POS off. Please do first follow
what is specified in the previous section, Activating Power to VGA Port for
LM-3010F/PM via BIOS, to ensure that the power output to the monitor is
activated.
Power ON the LM-3010F/PM
Press the power button of the POS terminal to power on your terminal. Few
seconds later the monitor will be initiated.
Power OFF the LM-3010F/PM
After you follow the standard shutdown procedure to power off the POS
terminal, the monitor will be turned off accordingly.
