Declaration of RoHS Compliance The EU Directive 2011/65/EU, which refers to “Restriction of Hazardous Substances” or “RoHS”, is made by the European Union (EU) and took effect on 1 July 2011. This restricts the use of the following six hazardous substances in the manufactures of various types of the electrical and electronic devices: • • • • • • Lead (Pb) < 1000 ppm Mercury (Hg) < 1000 ppm Cadmium (Cd) < 100 ppm Hexavalent Chromium (Cr+6) < 1000 ppm PolyBrominated Biphenyl (PBB) < 1000 ppm PolyBrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDEs)(including Deca-BDE) < 1000 ppm Exemption: • Lead as an alloying element in steel for machining purposes and in galva nised steel containing up to 0,35 % lead by weight • Lead as an alloying element in aluminium containing up to 0,4 % lead by weight • Copper alloy containing up to 4 % lead by weight • Lead in high melting temperature type solders (i.e. lead-based alloys con taining 85 % by weight or more lead) • Electrical and electronic components containing lead in a glass or ceramic other than dielectric ceramic in capacitors, e.g. piezoelectronic devices, or in a glass or ceramic matrix compound • Lead in dielectric ceramic in capacitors for a rated voltage of 125 V AC or 250 V DC or higher We, DFI Inc., hereby declare that the following products are fully compliant with the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.
