General information 1.1 Information about the instruction manual This instruction manual contains information about the installation, operation and maintenance of the device and should be consulted as an important source of information and reference guide. Awareness of the safety instructions and instructions for use in this manual will ensure the safe and correct use of the device. In addition to the information given here, you should comply with any local Health and safety Controls and generally applicable safety regulations. In addition every chapter provides precise safety advice for the prevention of dangers which are highlighted by the use of the above mentioned symbols. Furthermore, attention should be paid to all pictograms, markers and labels on the device, which must be kept in a permanent state of legibility. By following all the important safety advice you gain an optimal protection against all hazards as well as the assurance of a safe and trouble-free operation. 2.1 General information This device is designed in accordance with the presently applicable technological standards. However, the device can pose a danger if handled improperly and inappropriately. Knowing the contents of the instruction manual as well as avoiding mistakes and thus operating this device safely and in a fault-free manner is very essential to protect yourselves from the hazards. To prevent hazards and to ensure optimum efficiency, no modifications or alterations to the device that are not explicitly approved by the manufacturer may be undertaken. This device may only be operated in technically proper and safe condition. 2.2 Safety instructions for use of the device The specifications regarding the industrial safety are based on the Regulations of the European Union applicable at the time of manufacturing the device. If the device is used commercially, the user is obliged to ensure that the said industrial safety measures concur with the state of the rules and regulations applicable at the time in question for the entire period of use of the device and to comply with the new specifications. Outside the European Union, the industrial safety laws applicable at the place of installation of the device and the regional territorial provisions must be complied with. Besides the industrial safety instructions in the instruction manual, the general safety and accident prevention regulations as well as environment protection regulations applicable for area of application of the device must be followed and complied with. CAUTION! o The device can be used by children 8 years and up, as well as by people with disabilities and those with limited experience/knowledge as long as they are under supervision or have been instructed on proper use of the device and its possible dangers. - 26 - o Children should not play with the device. o Cleaning and maintenance cannot be performed by children younger than 8 years old and must be done under supervision. o Children under the age of 8 years old must be kept away from the device and its power cord. o Please keep these instructions and give them to future owners of the device. o All people using the device should follow the instructions and tips contained in these instructions. o Only use the device indoors. 2.3 Intended use Safe operation is only guaranteed when using the device for its intended purpose. Any technical interventions, as well as assembly and maintenance are to be made by a qualified customer service only. The device is intended for home use or in similar places such as: - in kitchens for store or office employees or in other service locations; - in suburban properties; - by guests of hotels, motels and other places of accommodation; - in Bed & Breakfasts. The refrigerator for bottles is designed for cooling and storage of the food products and beverages only. CAUTION! Any use going beyond the intended purpose and/or any different use of the device is forbidden and is not considered as conventional. Any claims against the manufacturer or his authorized representative as a consequence of experiencing damages resulting from unconventional use are impossible. The operator is liable for all damages resulting from inappropriate use. - 27 - 3. Transport, packaging and storage 3.1 Delivery check Please check the delivery upon completeness and transport damage immediately after receipt. In case of visible damage do not accept or accept the delivery with reservation only. Note the extent of damage on the carrier’s bill of delivery. Trigger off the complaint. Hidden damages should be reclaimed immediately after notice, as claims for damages can only be asserted within the effective period for complaints. 3.2 Packaging Please do not throw away the covering carton of your device as it might be useful for storage purposes, when moving or, in case of damages, when the device must be sent back to a repair center. The outer and inner packing material should be removed completely from the device before installation. NOTE! If you liked to dispose the packing, consider the regulations applicable in your country. Supply re-usable packing materials to the recycling. Please inspect the device upon completeness. In case any part is missing please contact our customer service center immediately. 3.3 Storage Keep the package closed until installation and under consideration of the outside indicated positioning- and storage markings. Packages should be stored under consideration of the following: - - 28 - Do not store outdoors. Keep it dry and dust-free. Do not expose it to aggressive media. Do not expose it to direct sunlight. Avoid mechanical shocks and vibration. In case of longer storage (> 3 months) make sure you check the state of the packaging and the parts regularly. If required refresh or renew. 4. Rotating the temperature control clockwise decreases temperature in the refrigeration chamber. 3 – Temperature control indicator 4 – Mains supply light (green) The illuminating green light indicates that the refrigerator is connected to the electric network. Equipment: 5 adjustable-height shelves - 31 - 5. Installation and operation 5.1 Safety instructions • Never allow the power cable to come into contact with heat sources or sharp edges. The power cable should not hang over the side of the working surface. Ensure that no one can step on or trip over the cable. • The power cable must not be folded, bent or tangled, and must always remain fully unrolled. • Never place the device or other objects on the power cable. • Do not lay the cable over carpets or heat insulations. Do not cover the cable. Keep away the cable from operating range and do not dunk it into water. • Do not use the device in case it does not function properly, has been damaged or dropped. • Do not use any accessory or spare parts that have not been recommended by the manufacturer. These can be dangerous for the user or lead to damages of the device or personal injury, and further, the warranty expires. • Do not store heavy, poisonous or corrosive materials or objects inside the device. • Do not place any electric devices on the refrigerator, like microwave ovens, hair dryers, irons, kettles, etc. There is a risk of combustion of plastic elements. • Do not drill holes in the device and do not mount any objects on it. • Attention! During transport, protect the device from atmospheric conditions (rain, snow, humidity). • Do not allow any element of the cooling system (e.g. compressor) to be damaged, as this may lead to leakage of the coolant. WARNING! In the event of coolant leakage, disconnect the device from its power source by removing the plug from its socket and contact a service centre. - 32 - 5.2 Installation and connection Preparation of the device NOTE! Two people are needed to set up the device! • Remove the package material from the device. • Remove the device from the styrofoam base. Remove the adhesive tapes. Caution! The refrigerator is equipped with the screwed door handle. In order to avoid breaking of the handle do not use it for lifting and moving the device. • During installation lift the front side of the device slightly which facilitates its moving to the destination place due to castors. • Open the refrigerator door. Remove the sealing elements above the refrigerator door. NOTE: When the refrigerator door is opened, the small red element falls out, which is used only for the transport purposes. • Remove red adhesive tapes used only for the transport purposes. • Place the bumpers (1) in the guides (2) of the upper part of the back wall (fig. 4). fig. 4 • Remove red elements from the shelves (fig. 5) used only for the transport purposes. • Remove all package material. The package material should be removed in the environment-friendly way. fig. 5 - 33 - Setup • Place the device in a dry area with good ventilation. • Never place the device on a flammable surface. • Do not place the device near an open flame, electric oven or other source of heat, as well as in direct sunlight. Heat may damage the device’s surface and lead to reduced efficiency. • To avoid damage to the compressor, during transport and setup do not tilt the refrigerator further than 45°. Be careful in handli ng the condenser and door of the device as damage to either element will result in problems using the device. CAUTION! Do not place nor use the refrigerator in unheated spaces nor on a balcony! • Do not place the refrigerator in areas with high humidity, as this may damage the device and reduce its cooling output. • Do not cover or clog the ventilation openings at the top of the device. Ensure free air circulation. fig. 6 • Maintain a minimum of 10 cm between the top of the device and objects located above it (e.g. cupboards). Failure to do so may result in increased energy use or overheating of the compressor (fig. 6). • When the device is placed in the corner, leave at least 60 mm of the side space (fig. 7). • Place the device on the even surface so it does not touch the wall. 600(620) 1450 (1730) • fig. 7 When required,adjust height by rotating the device feet. Rotating them clockwise lifts the front side of the device, and rotating counterclockwise lowers it. When the refrigerator is installed with a slight tilt backwards, the door close automatically. - 34 - Connecting the device DANGER! Electrical hazard! Improper connection of the device to a power source may lead to injury from electric shock! Before installing, compare the local network’s parameters with the rating plate on the device. Only connect the device to a power source when it is compliant with all parameters. The device must only be connected to a properly installed single socket with protective contact. Never remove the power cable by pulling the cable itself; always grab the plug housing. • Attention! If the device is tilted further than 30°, wait a mi nimum of 4 hours before connecting it to a power source. Failure to wait may lead to damage to the compressor. • After switching the device off (for cleaning, repair, relocation, etc.) it must be switched on only after at least 15 minutes. • The socket and circuit must be secured to a minimum of 16A. Only connect the device to a wall socket, do not use power strips or splitters. • Locate the device so that the plug is easily accessible in case it is necessary to quickly disconnect the device from its power source. Changing the door closing direction • When required, the refrigerator door may be switched from right to left side. Note: In case of key-locked door it is not possible to change the closing direction. • It is recommended to use help of another person during changing the door closing direction. Required tools: wrench for bolts 8 and 10, Phillips screwdriver. CAUTION! Before changing the door closing direction switch the device off by removing the plug from the socket. CAUTION! During changing the door closing direction do not place the refrigerator in the horizontal position. - 35 - Refrigerator for bottles 700272 (fig. 8) fig. 8 1. Remove the plugs (c) from the housing and door side, remove the upper bracket (6) with the washers and plastic seal under the handle. 2. Remove the refrigerator door. 3. Remove the lower masking strip (1). 4. Unscrew the supporting pin (2) from the lower bracket (7). Screw it with all washers to the opposite bracket (7), symmetrically to the previous position (fig. 8). 5. Fix the door on the supporting pin (2) of the bracket (7). 6. Rotate the bracket (6) with the supporting pin, placed washers and plastic seal by 180°. Unscrew the supporting pin with the washers a nd screw it on the opposite side of the bracket. Place the bracket (6) in the refrigerator door and screw them to the holes on the opposite side of the refrigerator. 7. Mask the bracket and free hole with use of plugs (c). - 36 - 8. Remove the plugs for the screws (a) and the door handle (b). Unscrew the door handle screws. Fix the door handle on the opposite side. Use the plugs to mask the other holes in the door and screws. 9. Remove the plug (10) of the lower cover (1) and place it in the guides on the other side of the lower cover (1) (symmetrically to the previous position). Fix the left and right foot of the lower cover (1) in the holes (fig. 8) and slide the cover until it catches. Refrigerator for bottles 700321 / 320 LN (fig. 9) 1. Unscrew two bolts (7) and remove the lower hinge bracket (8) with the washers (6) on the axis and spacer (5). 2. Unscrew bolts (7) and remove the hinge bracket (11). Remove the door (4). 3. Unscrew the fixing pin (2) with the nut (1) and washers (3) from the upper hinge bracket and install the whole assembly on the opposite side of the door. 4. First rotate the door (4) by 180°, then insert the upper fixing pin (2) into the door (4) and hang the door (4). 5. Unscrew the fixing screws (12) from the door and remove the handle (13). Fix the handle (13) on the opposite side. Use the plugs to mask the screw holes. 6. The plate (10) remains in its place. fig. 9 7. First insert the fixing pin (2) into the door, then install the lower hinge bracket (8) with washers and sealing set on the opposite side of refrigerator. 8. Fix the hinge bracket (11) on the opposite side. - 37 - 5.3 Operation Before use • Before the device operation clean it according to the instructions in section 6.2 „Cleaning“. • Before placing the food or beverages in the device it should first obtain the required temperature. It takes place approximately after 2 – 3 hours. • Connect the device to the single grounded socket. Set the required temperature. Adjustment of temperature in the refrigerator for bottles 700272 (fig. 1) Temperature in the refrigerator is adjusted with use of temperature control (1) (fig. 1). Temperature may be adjusted in range 0 – 7. 0 = compressor switched off. Caution! The device is not connected to mains yet! 1 – the highest temperature (the weakest cooling) 7 – the lowest temperature (the strongest cooling) NOTE! When the products placed in the refrigerator are too cold, set the temperature control to position 1, 2, or 3. When they are too warm, set the temperature control to position 4, 5, 6, or 7. Adjustment of temperature in the refrigerator for bottles 700321 (fig. 3) After switching the device on the green lamp illuminates. Temperature in the refrigerator is adjusted with use of temperature control 2 inside the device (fig. 3). When the door is closed, the preset temperature may be read on the display 3. Temperature may be adjusted in range 0 – 5. 0 = compressor switched off. Caution! The device is not connected to mains yet! 1 – the highest temperature (the weakest cooling) 5 – the lowest temperature (the strongest cooling) - 38 - NOTE! When the products placed in the refrigerator are too cold, set the temperature control to position 1 – 3. When they are too warm, set the temperature control to position 3 – 5. CAUTION! Temperature in the refrigerator may vary depending on the environment temperature, amount and temperature of food products, and frequency of the door opening. When the environment temperature is low, the device cools weaker, therefore temperature inside may rise. It is then required to decrease temperature with use of control. Tips for the user • When placing items inside, ensure that air can circulate freely inside the device. • The more items in the refrigerator and the longer the door is kept open, the greater the energy use. • To reduce loss of cold, keep the door open for just a short time. Moreover do not open the door too often. • Products stored inside should be cooled in advance to the required temperature. • Placing warm products into the refrigerator can negatively impact the device’s functioning and products already cooled. In order to avoid the losses of cooled air in the refrigerator avoid storing of food products in non-cooled rooms. • Do not store bananas in the refrigerators as they are sensitive to cold. • The food products of specific aroma, like fresh fish, foie gras, or cheese, should be stored in tight containers. • In the event of a power failure, avoid opening door if possible in order to avoid cold loss. • The refrigerator should not be left without power for longer than 10 minutes. • After a power outage or disconnecting the refrigerator, do not connect the device to a power supply for at least 5 minutes. • When the device is to be switched off for a longer time, leave the door opened. - 39 - Noise information • Sound emitted by the device during work are normal and do not indicate the malfunction. • Gurgling and humming are the sounds of the cooling medium circulating in the cooling circuit of the device. • Shorter and louder noise may be heard when the compressor is switched on. 6. Cleaning and maintenance 6.1 Safety advice o Before beginning with repair or cleaning works make sure the device has been disconnected from power supply. o Do not use any acid agents and make sure no water ingresses the device. o To protect yourself from electric shock, never immerse the device, its cables and the plug in water or other liquids. CAUTION! The device is not suited for direct washing via water jets. Therefore, you must not use any kind of pressure water jet for cleaning the device! 6.2 Cleaning o Clean the device regularly. o Protect the interior surface of the device and all plastic elements from grease, acids and sauces. If they get dirtied, immediately wash the affected areas with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. o Use warm water with a mild cleaning agent to wash the interior and exterior surface of the device. After washing, rinse with clean water. Never use hot water to wash the device! o Thoroughly wipe dry all washed surfaces. o Regularly wash and wipe dry the door seal. o Use the special cleaning element (fig. 10) for periodical cleaning of the condensate drain hole. fig. 10 - 40 - o At least once a year the dust gathered at the rear of the refrigerator and on the compressor. o A dirty compressor will negatively impact the device’s functioning and increase energy use! Attention! Never wash the compressor with water! o Use a soft, dry brush, electrostatic cloth or hoover for cleaning (fig. 11). fig. 11 o Never use aggressive cleaning materials such as scouring powder, alkaline substances or substances containing alcohol, solvents or petrol, which may damage plastic elements and paint. o Do not use scouring brushes or sponges with a scratchy surface. Defrosting the refrigerator The unit is automatically protected from icing. During breaks in the compressor operation the ice on the internal back wall melt and the condensate flows through the system to the compressor, where it is steamed off. 6.3 Safety instructions for maintenance o Inspect the power cable regularly for damage. Never use the device if the cable is damaged. If the power cable is damaged, have an authorised service center or qualified electrician replace it. o In case of damage or malfunction, please contact your stockist or our customer service centre. Pay attention to the troubleshooting tips in pt. 7. o Only a qualified technician and using original spare parts and accessories should carry out repairs and maintenance of the device. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. - 41 - 7. Possible Malfunctions Problem The device is connected to the power supply but is not working Insufficient cooling efficiency Noise emitted by the device increases - 42 - Cause Solution • The plug is incorrectly connected to the socket. • Damaged fuse • Power supply failure • Connect the plug correctly • Check the power supply • Check the power supply • Direct sunlight or heat sources in the vicinity of the device • Poor air circulation around the device • Move the device from the heat sources • The door is not closed completely or opened too long • Damaged or deformed door seal • Too little distances between the stored bottles or too many bottles in the refrigerator • Incorrect temperature control setting • The refrigerator is not placed on the even surface • The refrigerator touches walls or other objects • Assure sufficient distances to the walls / other objects • Close the door, minimize the opening time • Contact a sales agent • Maintain sufficient distances between the bottles, remove excess of bottles • Set the temperature control correctly • Place the refrigerator on the even surface • Assure sufficient distances to the walls / other objects • Assure sufficient distances between the bottles • The bottles in the refrigerator contact each other Problem Cause Solution Water is collected in the drain channel and is not removed correctly • Clogged hole in the condensate drain channel • Clean the drain hole The door seal sticks during opening • The door seal is contaminated with the sticki food product (grease, syrup, etc.) • Wash the seal with water and gentle cleaning agent and thoroughly dry Water under the refrigerator • The condensate tray fell from the compressor • Place the condensate tray on the compressor • The environment air humidity exceeds 70% • Ventilate the room where the refrigerator is installed and remove the reason of excessive humidity The surface of the refrigerator is steamed The malfunctions listed in the table above are only for reference purposes and should be considered examples. If the aforementioned or other problems occur, immediately turn the device off and stop using it. If the malfunction cannot be fixed, contact a service centre or sales agent. - 43 - 8. Waste disposal Discarding old devices At the end of its service life the discarded device has to be disposed in accordance with the national regulations. It is advisable to contact a company which is specialized in waste disposal, or just contact the local disposal service in your community. WARNING! To exclude any abuse and the dangers involved make the waste device unfit for use before disposal. For that purpose disconnect device from mains supply and remove mains connection cable from the device. NOTE! For the disposal of the device please consider and act according to the national and local rules and regulations.
