5. Installation and operation
5.1 Installation
Then the blender may be used again.
Positioning
• Unpack the device and remove all packing material.
CAUTION!
Never remove the rating plate and any warning signs from the device. • Place the device on top of an even, stable, and water-resistant surface which supports the weight of the device and is not heat sensitive. Moreover the surface should be smooth and dry so the front suction cups may be properly attached. • Never place the device on the table edge to avoid tilting or drop. • The operating surface must be easily accessible and large enough. In order to assure comfortable operation and proper air circulation leave at least 15 cm of space on the sides and back and 50 cm on the front and top from the walls, cabinets, etc.
• Never place the device in humid or wet environment. • Never place the device on the flammable surfaces. • Never place the device in the vicinity of open fire, electric ovens, heating furnaces, or other heat sources. - 27 -
Connection DANGER! Electric shock hazard! The device can cause injuries due to improper installation! Before installation and connecting the local power grid specification should be compared with that of the device (see rating plate). Connect the device only in case of compliance! Connect the device only to properly installed single socket with protective terminal. Do not disconnect the supply cable by pulling it, always pull the plug.
• The electrical circuit in the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect the device directly to the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips. • Place the device so that the plug is easily accessible and can be quickly removed from its socket in case of necessity.
5.2 Operation
• Before the device operation clean it according to the instructions in section 6 “Cleaning”. • Place the motor block on the even and stable surface. • Put the blending tumbler on the motor block and rotate it clockwise to fix it (see below). There are the following fixing possibilities:
for right hand for left hand NOTE! Keep in mind that after fixing the blending tumbler its handle must be positioned in the front on the right or left side, as it is the only way to assure contact with the sensor.
- 28 -
• Prepare the food products for blending and put the in the tumbler. • The maximum operating capacity of the tumbler is 2150 ml. • Do not overfill the tumbler, the filling level may be determined according to the marks on the tumbler. During processing of hot or foaming roducts and during work at high speed fill the blending tumbler only up to 2/3 of the maximum operating capacity of 2150 ml.
CAUTION! Do not process the liquids or food products of temperature above 80°C in the blending tumbler. Injury hazard!
• Put the lid on the tumbler and fix it with two protective clamps. • Before start close the spout with the transparent plug.
• Connect the device to the single grounded socket. • Start the device with use of ON/OFF switch. • Use appropriate button to select one of the speed levels (1, 2 or 3). Level 3 is the highest one. The buttons descriptions are illuminated in blue colour and the selected button flashes during the operation. • The continuous work time for levels 1 – 3 is 1 minute. The device processes the ingredients very quickly. After that time the device turns off automatically. Check the consistence of processed ingredients and after the cooling phase start the device again when required.
• Observe the device during work and allow it to cool down after each blending process. • When the ingredients are supposed to be blended shortly, use the PULSE function with the appropriate button. That function is especially useful for ice disintegration. When it is used the device operates for 1 second and stops for 1 second alternately. While using that function the device is not turned off automatically and should be stopped with use of ON/OFF button when the ingredients are sufficiently processed.
• The ingredients may be added through the spout during the operation when required. To do this open the transparent plug which should be closed before starting the blender again.
- 29 -
• Do not process too much of hard or frozen products in one batch. For better results process them in smaller amount. • When the knife is blocked and the motor operates irregularly stop the device at once, pull the plug from the socket, and remove some ingredients from the blending tumbler. Then continue the blending process.
WARNING! Injury hazard! Never place your hands or any objects in the blending tumbler during the device operation! Never use any auxiliary means for pressing the ingredients during the device operation. They may be caught by the knife and cause the operator’s injuries or the damages!
• When the required consistence of the ingredients is obtained stop the device (press the ON/OFF button) and disconnect the blending tumbler from the motor block by rotating it counterclockwise. Empty the tumbler through the spout. • After use disconnect the device from the socket (pull the plug!).
6. Cleaning
