Frequently Answers and Questions

What is the purpose of the thermal fuse?

The thermal fuse is designed to protect the vacuum cleaner from overheating should the airflow be blocked for extended periods. This may occur if the vacuum bag is overfull or if the vacuum hose is blocked. The vacuum motor will stop before it can get too hot.

How do I replace the vacuum bag?

Turn off main power switch and unplug unit from wall outlet. Remove vacuum hose from lid. Release the two latches and lift off lid. Separate lid from paper bag and dispose of paper bag. Remove cloth filter bag, clean, dust and replace. Insert new paper bag making sure to align lid nozzle with bag hole and refasten latches.

How do I reset the thermal fuse?

Unplug the Backpack vacuum cleaner. Check for problem (over-filled bag, clog in hose, clogged filters, etc.). Correct problem. Locate the ‘tripped’ thermal reset button located on the bottom of the unit. Using a pointed object, push the reset button. Plug Backpack vacuum cleaner in and begin using.
