International standards
THIS MOBILE Tablet MEETS THE INTERNATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO
WAVES.
Your mobile table s a radio transmi er and receiver. I s designed and manufactured not
to exceed the limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy defined by the interna onal
standards. These recommenda ons have been established by the Interna onal Commission
on Non-Ionizing Radia on Protec on (ICNIRP) and, the Ins tute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers (IEEE) tha orecast a substan al safety margin for assuring the protec on of all
persons, regardless of age and health. The exposure recommenda ons for mobile tablets use a
measurement unit known as the Specific Absorp on Rate (SAR). The SAR limit recommended by
the ICNIRP for the mobile tablets used by the general public is 2.0W/kg averaged over ten grams
oftissue and, is 1.6W/kg averaged over one gram oftissue by IEEE Std 1528 for the head. Tests
for SAR have been conducted using recommended opera ng posi ons with the mobile tablet
transmi ng a ts highest cer fied power level in all tested frequency bands. Although the SAR is
determined a he highest cer fied power level, the actual SAR levels o he mobile tablet while
opera ng are generally below the maximum SAR value. This is because the table s designed to
operate at mul ple power levels so as to use only the power required to reach the network. In
general, the closer you are to a base sta on antenna, the lower the power output. While there
may be differences between the SAR levels of various tablets and at various posi ons, they all
mee he interna onal protec on standards for exposure to radio waves.
The highest SAR value for this PMT3341_3G model when tested for compliance againstthe
standard was 0.796 W/kg (10g) for ICNIRP recommendation. For limi ng the radio waves
exposure, i s recommended to reduce the mobile tablet call dura on or to use a headset. The
purpose o hose precau ons is to take the mobile tablet away from the head and the body.
