9V – 18V

Consumption (constant):
0 mA

Consumption ON:
8 mA – 120 mA

Max. consumption OFF:
max. 2 A
2
Composition of the set

1 main unit PSS-1

1 connection cable with fuse

2 extension cables for parking sensors
3
General informations

Automatic deactivation of the front parking sensors at a programmable speed (e.g. 15 to 20 km/h).

At lower speed the front parking sensors switch on automatically.

Activated by speed pulse.
4
Fitting


The module has to be fitted inside of the vehicle; the module has not been manufactured to be placed in the
engine compartment.
Cut the wires to the correct length. Do not place the module PSS-1 against existing electronic modules in the
vehicle.
A
Connections

Red wire
to positive with ignition ON (+15) or ACC.

Black wire
to original ground bolt

Orange/black
to speed signal

Orange wire
negative out (max. 2A) under the programmed speed
B
Connections to the main unit of the front parking sensors

Connect the positive of the main unit (mostly red wire) to a positive after ignition (+15).

Connect the ground of the main unit (mostly black wire) to the orange wire of the PSS-1.

Programming of the deactivation speed
After having done all the connections, except for the orange wire:

Open the housing of the PSS-1.

Switch on the ignition and drive the vehicle.

Auto test: The red led in the housing flashes slowly at low speed and flashes faster at higher speed to indicate
that all connections have been made correctly.

Drive at the desired deactivation speed (e.g. 15 km/h) and take bridge A away. The led lights static on for ±
2 seconds to indicate speed has been programmed.

Place the bridge on 1 pin for eventual later use.

Close the housing and connect the orange wire.
