POLARIZED PLUG (120V Models Only)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit
into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw
to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or
electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are
no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by
authorized service personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD
a) A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer
cord.
b) Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
c) If an extension cord is used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply
cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the
electrical rating of the appliance,
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord
should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord, and
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape
over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on
by children or tripped over unintentionally.
Note: If the power supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced
by qualified personnel or in Latin America by an authorized service .
How to Use
This product is for household use only.
GETTING STARTED
• Wash removable parts as instructed in CARE AND CLEANING.
• Pour fresh cold water up to 12-cup level mark into the water reservoir.
• Place basket-style paper filter into removable filter basket. Place basket
into filter basket holder.
• Plug cord into standard electrical outlet.
• Brew water through appliance without adding coffee grounds. This
removes any dust or residue that may remain in the system during the
manufacturing process.
• Discard water from the carafe and paper filter from filter basket.
• Turn off appliance; unplug and allow to cool down.
SETTING THE CLOCK
1. Plug appliance into standard electrical outlet.
2. The digital clock display flashes12:00.
3. To change the time: Press HOUR button until the correct time appears on
the display. When the time passes noon “PM” illuminates to let you know
you are in PM time. If the “PM” is not illuminated it is AM time.
4. Press the MIN button to select the minutes.
Note: If the appliance is unplugged or power is interrupted even momentarily,
the time may need to be reset.
BREWING COFFEE
1. Open cover.
2. Fill water reservoir using the carafe with desired amount of cold tap
water. Do not exceed the 12-cup (MAX) level on the water reservoir.
3. Insert removable filter basket into filter basket holder.
4. Place an 8-12 cup basket-style paper filter into the removable filter
basket.
5. Add desired amount of ground coffee. Close cover.
6. Make sure carafe lid is properly attached to the empty carafe. Close the
lid.
Note: Coffee may overflow if carafe lid is not properly placed.
7. Place empty carafe on the carafe plate.
8. Plug power cord into an outlet.
9. If regular brew strength is desired, your coffeemaker is set to brew coffee.
10. If strong coffee is desired, press the brew strength button to select the
strong brew. The word STRONG is displayed.
11. Press ON/OFF button and brewing begins.
12. When coffee stops flowing into carafe, the brew cycle is complete.
Coffeemaker beeps when brew cycle is finished. The time since brewing
will be visible at the bottom of the digital display.
13. Once coffee grounds have cooled, carefully open cover and, discard used
grounds. Close cover.
14. The coffeemaker will keep brewed coffee hot for 2 hours and then
automatically turn off.
15. To turn off the coffeemaker at any time press the ON/OFF button. The ON/
OFF light goes off. Unplug appliance when not in use.
BREWING 1 TO 4 CUPS
Note: This feature slows down the brewing to extract the best flavor when
brewing a small amount of coffee.
1. Add the appropriate amount of water for the number of cups to be brewed
(from 1 – 4).
2. Fill paper filter with desired amount of coffee grounds.
3. Press the 1-4 CUP button. 1-4 CUP is displayed.
Note: When using this feature coffee will be brewed at regular strength only.
4. Press the ON/OFF button, its light illuminates and the brewing cycle begins.
Note: Press the ON/OFF button to cancel this function.
SNEAK-A-CUP® FEATURE
Remove the carafe and brewing is paused. The carafe must be placed back on
the carafe plate in 30 seconds to prevent overflow. Brewing begins again.
AUTO BREW
1. Follow steps 1 through 10 under BREWING COFFEE.
2. Make sure clock has been set to correct time of day.
3. Press the program (PROG/AUTO) button and hold until the 12:00 display
flashes.
4. Start to change the delayed brewing time as desired within 2 seconds.
Note: If the coffeemaker has not been unplugged the last delayed brewing
time will appear on the digital display.
5. To change the time: press HOUR button until the desired correct time
appears on the display. Press the MIN button to select the minutes.
6. Press the PROG/AUTO button to activate the delayed brewing. The word
AUTO is displayed.
7. To check the preset auto time, press program (PROG/AUTO) button and
hold it. Once button is released, the clock time will display again.
8. If you want to change the preset auto time, press the (PROG/AUTO) button
to cancel the preset time. The word AUTO goes off from digital display.
9. Follow steps 3 through 6 under AUTO BREW.
10. To cancel auto brew, press PROG/AUTO button. The word AUTO goes off
from digital display. To brew coffee immediately press the ON/OFF button.
Care and Cleaning
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service
personnel.
CLEANING
• Be sure the unit is unplugged and has cooled.
• Open the cover.
• To remove the filter basket, grip the handle and lift straight up. Discard the
paper filter, if used, and the coffee grounds.
• Wash the filter basket, carafe and carafe lid in dishwasher, top rack or wash by
hand in hot water and soap.
• Wipe the appliance’s exterior surface, control panel and carafe plate with a soft
damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads. Never immerse the
coffeemaker in water.
• To clean the inside of the cover, open the cover and leave in the open position.
Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth.
AUTO CLEAN
We recommend cleaning your coffeemaker once a month.
1. Combine 6 cups of white vinegar and 4 cups of cold water in carafe.
2. Pour into water reservoir.
3. Place an 8 to 12 cup basket style paper filter in the removable filter basket.
Insert filter basket into filter basket holder and close cover.
4. Make sure the lid of the carafe is in place and place empty carafe on the “Keep
Hot” carafe plate.
5. Plug power cord into an outlet.
6. Press AUTO CLEAN to activate cleaning cycle; the word CLEAN is display and
the POWER ON light illuminates.
7. Part of the mixture will brew through. Remaining mixture will be held in
coffeemaker for 30 minutes before completing its brew through.
Note: The entire cleaning cycle will take 45-60 minutes to complete.
8. When the coffeemaker completes the AUTO CLEAN cycle, it beeps and shuts off
automatically.
9. Brew fresh water through appliance following instructions given in GETTING
STARTED before brewing coffee again.

Este aparato eléctrico es para uso doméstico solamente.
ENCHUFE POLARIZADO (Solamente para los modelos de 120V)
Este aparato cuenta con un enchufe polarizado (un contacto es más
ancho que el otro). A fin de reducir el riesgo de un choque eléctrico,
este enchufe encaja en un tomacorriente polarizado en un solo
sentido. Si el enchufe no entra en el tomacorriente, inviértalo y si
aun así no encaja, consulte con un electricista. Por favor no trate de

Como usar
Este aparato es solamente para uso doméstico.
PRIMEROS PASOS
• Lave las piezas removibles según las instrucciones en la sección de
CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA.
• Vierta agua fría en el tanque de agua hasta el nivel que indica 12 tazas.
• Coloque un filtro estilo cesto de papel para 8 a 12 tazas en el cesto del
filtro. Coloque el cesto removible adentro del compartimiento respectivo.
• Enchufe el cable a un tomacorriente normal.
• Cuele agua a través, sin agregar café molido. Esto elimina cualquier
residuo de polvo que pudiera haber en el sistema debido al proceso de
fabricación.
• Deseche tanto el agua de la jarra como el filtro de papel.
• Apague y desconecte el aparato; espere que se enfríe.
PARA PROGRAMAR EL RELOJ
1. Enchufe la cafeteria. La pantalla indica 12:00.
2. Para ajustar la hora, presione el botón de hora (HOUR) hasta que aparezca
la hora correcta en la pantalla. Una pequeña luz aparece en la parte
superior izquierda de la pantalla digital, indicando P.M.
4. Presione el botón de los minutos (MIN) para seleccionar los minutos.
Nota: Si uno desconecta el aparato o si se interrumpe la corriente
momentáneamente, la hora debe ser reajustada.
PARA COLAR CAFÉ
1. Abra la tapa.
2. Llene el tanque de agua con la cantidad de agua fría deseada. No exceda
el nivel máximo de 12 tazas.
3. Coloque el cesto removible del filtro dentro en su compartimiento.
4. Coloque un filtro de papel estilo cesto para 8 –12 tazas dentro de el cesto
removible.
5. Añada la cantidad de café deseada. Cierre la tapa.
6. Asegure que la jarra tenga su tapa bien colocada y cerrada.
Nota: El café puede desbordarse si la tapa no está colocada correctamente.
7. Coloque la jarra vacía sobre la placa calefactora.
8. Enchufe el cable a un tomacorriente.
9. Si desea intensidad regular, la cafeteria está lista.
10. Presione el botón selector de intensidad de colado para seleccionar café
regular. La palabra STRONG (fuerte) aparece en la pantalla digital.
11. Presione el botón de encendido/apagado (ON/OFF), el ciclo de colado
comienza.
12. Cuando el café pare de verter dentro de la jarra, el ciclo de colado ha
terminado. El tiempo desde que se coló el café aparece en la pantalla
digital.
13. Una vez que el café molido ya usado se refresque, levante la tapa con
cuidado y deseche el café. Cierre la tapa.
14. La cafetera mantendrá el café colado caliente por 2 horas y luego se
apagará Automáticamente.
15. Para apagar la cafetera en cualquier momento, presione el botón de
encendido/apagado (ON/OFF). La luz ON/OFF se apaga. Desenchufe la
unidad cuando no esté en uso.
PARA COLAR DE 1 A 4 TAZAS
Nota: Esta opción modera la velocidad del ciclo de colado para extraer
el mejor sabor del café al colar una pequeña cantidad.
1. Añada la cantidad de agua adecuada para el número de tazas de café
que va a colar (de 1 – 4).
2. Llene un filtro de papel dentro del cesto con la cantidad deseada de
café molido.
3. Presione el botón 1 – 4 CUP. 1-4 CUP aparece en la pantalla digital.
Nota: Cuando se usa esta función, el café se colará con intensidad regular.
4. Presione el botón de encendido/apagado (ON/OFF). La luz se apaga.
Desconecte la cafeteria cuando no este en uso.
Nota: Presione el botón de 1- 4 CUPS de nuevo para cancelar esta función.
DISPOSITIVO DE INTERRUPCIÓN DE COLADO SNEAK-A-CUP®
Al retirar la jarra,se detiene el proceso de colado. Para evitar un derrame,
coloque de nuevo la jarra sobre la placa antes de 30 segundos. el proceso de
colado vuelve a empezar.
COLADO AUTOMÁTICO
1. Siga los pasos del 1 al 10 bajo en la sección PARA COLAR CAFÉ.
2. Asegure que el reloj esté ajustado a la hora correcta del día.
3. Presione el botón de programación (PROG/AUTO) y manténgalo
presionado hasta que parpadee 12:00 en la pantalla..
4. Comience a cambiar el tiempo del ciclo automático según lo desee,
dentro de un lapso de 2 segundos.
Nota: Si la cafetera no se ha desenchufado desde la ultima vez que se
programó el ciclo de colado, la última hora programada aparecerá en la
pantalla digital.
5. Para cambiar la hora, inmediatamente presione el botón HOUR hasta que
la pantalla digital muestre la hora deseada. Presione el botón MIN para
seleccionar los minutos.
6. Presione el botón de colado programable (PROG/AUTO)para activar el
ciclo automático. La palabra AUTO aparece en la pantalla digital.
7. Para revisar el tiempo preprogramado, presione el botón de programación
(PROG/AUTO) y mantengalo presionado. Cuando suelte el botón, el reloj
aparacerá de nuevo con la hora seleccionada.
8. Si desea cambiar el tiempo preprogramado, presione el botón de colado
programable (PROG/AUTO) para cancelarlo. La palabra AUTO aparece en
la pantalla digital.
9. Siga las instrucciones en los pasos 3 a 6 bajo la sección de COLADO
AUTOMÁTICO.
10. Para cancelar el ciclo de colado automático, presione el botón
(PROG/AUTO). La palabra AUTO desaparece de la pantalla digital. Para
colar café inmediatamente presione el botón ON/OFF.
Cuidado y limpieza
Este producto no contiene partes que el consumidor pueda reparar. En caso
de requerir mantenimiento, envíela al personal de servicio calificado.
LIMPIEZA
• Asegure que la unidad esté desenchufada y que se haya enfriado.
• Abra la tapa.
• Para retirar el cesto del filtro, sujete el asa y levante hacia arriba. Deseche
el filtro de papel y el café molido.
• Lave el cesto del filtro, la jarra y su tapa en el compartimiento de arriba de
la máquina lavaplatos, o lávelos a mano en agua caliente y jabón.
• Limpie la superficie exterior de la unidad, el panel de control y la placa
calefactora con un paño suave y húmedo. No use limpiadores abrasivos ni
estropajos. Nunca sumerja la cafetera en agua.
• Para limpiar la parte de adentro de la cubierta, abra la tapa enteriza y
déjela en posición abierta. Limpie las superficies con un paño suave y
húmedo.
LIMPIEZA AUTOMÁTICA (AUTO CLEAN)
Se recomienda que limpie su cafetera una vez al mes.
1. Combine 6 tazas de vinagre blanco y 4 tazas de agua fría en la jarra.
2. Vierta adentro del tanque de agua.
3. Coloque un filtro de papel para 8 a 12 tazas en el cesto del filtro. Coloque el
cesto adentro de su compartimiento.
4. Asegúrese que la tapa de la jarra esté en su lugar y coloque la jarra sobre
la placa de calentamiento.
5. Enchufe el cable en el tomacorriente.
6. Presione el botón de limpieza automática (AUTO CLEAN). La palabra
CLEAN aparece en la pantalla digital y la luz de funcionamiento se ilumina.
7. Parte de la mezcla se colará. El resto de la mezcla demorará unos
30 minutos en colar.
Nota: Un ciclo completo de limpieza demora alrededor de 45 a 60 minutos.
8. Cuando la cafetera acabe el ciclo de limpieza automática (AUTO CLEAN),
emite un sonido y se apaga automáticamente.
9. Antes de colar café, cuele agua limpia siguiendo las instrucciones en la
sección PARA COMENZAR.
PRECAUCIÓN
