APPLICATIONS
Southwire® Type mobile home feeder is intended for the connection of mobile homes to
a supply of electricity where permanent wiring is required as specified in the 2011 National
Electrical Code. Suitable for direct burial in earth at conductor temperatures not to exceed
90°C. Voltage rating is 600 volts.

CONSTRUCTION
Southwire® mobile home feeder consists of four quadruplexed type RHH or RHW-2 or
USE-2 Alumaflex® Brand AA-8000 series aluminum alloy compacted conductors. The
cable contains 2 triple-extruded phase conductors, a white striped neutral conductor and
a green grounding conductor to eliminate the need for field marking per the National
Electrical Code. The insulation is sunlight resistant.

Insulation thickness is 60 mils for #4 - 1/0 AWG, 80 mils for 2/0 AWG and larger. For dwelling ampacity use section 310.15
(B)(7).
*For compact-stranded construction, the number of wires, as permitted by UL Standard 44 and ASTM B-801, may be
reduced for 19-wire constructions to 18 wires minimum.

RECOMMENDED SAMPLE SPECIFICATIONS:
Cable shall be UL-listed Type RHH or RHW-2 or USE-2, suitable for direct burial and operation at 600 volts. Conductors shall be Alumaflex® brand
aluminum alloy as manufactured by Southwire Company or approved equal. The cable shall contain a triple extruded white striped neutral conductor and
a solid green grounding conductor to eliminate the need for field marking per the National Electrical Code.
