Teak Furniture FAQ and User Care

Thank you for purchasing our product. Due to teak wood’s natural characteristics, wood color and grain variations may be present. This is a symbol of the originality of each unit and gives each finished piece a distinctly-refined charm.

Cushions: Outdoor fabrics are designed to be breathable; they are water repellant but not waterproof. It is recommended that you store the cushions in a dry area when not in use. Clean with mild soap and warm water. Do not use abrasive materials, cleaners or bleach products. Do not machine wash as cushions may shrink.

Maintenance: Teak is a high quality solid wood that ages with time. New Teak wood comes in a light-brown honey color, and if left untreated outdoor, will fade naturally to a softer light grey and eventually into a silver patina color.

To maintain the color of teak, apply teak sealer once a year in order to effectively protect teak wood from color fade.

Treatments can be discontinued if you decide later to let the furniture fade naturally. Clean stain with mild soap, warm water and damp cloth. Do not use abrasive materials, cleaners or bleach products.

New Teak Aged Teak 6-12 months (with no maintenance)

Do not leave your teak wood furniture in puddles of water or on wet ground.

Cover your teak wood furniture during winter months or move into covered storage, if in wet climates.

To obtain longer lifespan of your outdoor products, minimize exposure to direct sunlight is recommended.
