TECHNICAL DATA ESH-27 EPOXYSHIELD® BLACKTOP COATING .DESCRIPTION AND USES PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.) . APPLICATION EpoxyShield® Blacktop Coating is an advanced acrylic formula designed to revitalize and protect worn and faded asphalt driveways. This low odor coating, made from recycled tires, applies like paint and cleans up with soap and water. It is drive ready in just four hours. Blacktop Coating is not recommended for concrete surfaces. Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 5090°F (10-32°C). The surface temperature should not exceed 100°F (38°C) and no rain is forecasted for 48 hours. Do not use when the surrounding air and surface temperatures fall below 40°F (4°C). Do not dilute. Avoid applying coating in direct sunlight. If pavement is extremely hot, apply a fine water mist prior to coating. Brush out any remaining water puddles. Begin applying EpoxyShield Blacktop Coating once driveway is properly cleaned and all holes/cracks have been repaired. Mix coating thoroughly to ensure all pigment has been re-dispersed. Use a brush to trim edges of the driveway before applying to entire surface. Apply the coating directly from the bucket using a ⅜” or ½” nap roller with a long handled extension pole. Apply in 4’x4’ sections. Cross roll each section in perpendicular strokes for even application and uniform coverage. Airless spray can also be used to apply the coating using a 0.015 to 0.019 tip at 1500 to 2500 psi. Use a 40 mesh or larger filter. To improve uniform coverage on badly worn asphalt, a second coat may be needed. Do not mix or blend this product with any other driveway coating product. For improved traction on steep sloped areas, apply EpoxyShield Anti-Skid Additive (sold separately). PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS .
