4. gENERAL / gENERAL

-

Los filtros de combustible NTZ® sólo pueden ser aplicados en el sistema de combustible cuando hay un separador de agua instalado. No instale el filtro si no hay un separador de agua instalado.

-

La carcasa del filtro va a estar caliente al fluir el combustible a través del mismo.

-

Proteja el medio ambiente. Para la correcta disposición, dejar el cartucho usado en su estación de servicio o centro local de eliminación de residuos.

-

NTZ® fuel filters can only be applied in the fuel system when there is a water separator installed. do not install the filter if there is no water separator installed.

-

Filter housing can become warm as fuel is flowing through.

-

Protect the environment. For correct disposal, leave the used cartridge at your service station or the local waste disposal center.

5. INSTALACIÓN / INSTALLATION

-

Usando los pernos de la instalación M10 x 50 montar el filtro NTZ® en la ubicación deseada, manteniendo en cuenta los siguientes puntos.

-

Montar la carcasa del filtro en un lugar libre de vibraciones tan cerca del motor como sea posible para mantener las mangueras de entrada y salida lo suficientemente cortas y seguras. sin curvas puntiagudas, sin extrema tensión. Asegurarse que la parte superior del filtro tenga espacio para el cambio del elemento.

-

nota: ¡nunca instale directamente la carcasa del filtro en el motor!

-

Marcar y perforar la cantidad requerida de agujeros M10, retire la tapa superior de la carcasa del filtro y deslice los pernos M10 al soporte del casquillo. Ahora ajuste la arandela de presión M10 y asegure los pernos en la posición requerida a la carcasa del filtro con la tuerca M10. Ahora instale la carcasa del filtro mediante el uso de las arandelas y tuerca M10.

Como se trata de una unidad a presión el montaje se puede hacer en cualquier posición. sin embargo, el filtro tiene que levantarse verticalmente para un cambio de elemento apropiado.

-

Using the installation bolts M10 x 50 mount the NTZ® filter system in the desired location, keeping the following points in mind.

-

Mount the filter housing in a spot free from vibrations as close to the engine as possible to keep inlet and outlet hoses short and secure. No sharp bends, no extreme tension. Make sure the top side has clearance for the element change.

-

note: never install the filter housing directly on the engine!

-

Mark and drill the required amount of M10 holes, remove the top lid of the filter housing and slide the M10 bolts into the support sleeves. Now fit the M10 spring washers and secure the bolts in the required position to the filter housing with the M10 nuts. Now install the filter housing by using the washers and M10 nut.

-

As this is a pressurized unit mounting can be done in any position. However the filter housing preferably has to stand up vertically for convenient element change.

6. CONEXIÓN DE LAS MANgUERAS / CONNECTINg THE HOSES

6. CONEXIÓN DE LAS MANgUERAS / CONNECTINg THE HOSES

-

Compruebe si la bomba de suministro de combustible provee suficiente presión (min 4 bar)

-

Usando una manguera de diámetro interno 3/8 o 10 mm con la abrazadera adecuada, conectar las mangueras a los acoples de entrada/salida.

-

Conecte las mangueras con los accesorios a la carcasa del filtro utilizando los pernos banjo M12 x

1,5 y las arandelas de cobre como se muestra en el diagrama de la página 2 de este manual.

-

Utilice amarres plásticos para garantizar que todas las mangueras permanezcan lejos de superficies afiladas, eléctricas, o extremadamente calientes.

-

Arranque el motor para comprobar que no haya fugas.

the ntZ® fuel filter should always be installed after the fuel supply pump and after the water separator.

-

When the water separator is installed after the fuel supply pump connect the hose from the water separator to the –iN-port of the NTZ® fuel filter.

-

When the water separator is installed before the fuel supply pump (in the suction line) connect the hose from the fuel supply pump to the –iN-port of the fuel filter.

-

Check if the fuel supply pump supplies enough pressure (min 4 bar)

-

Using a i.d. 3/8 or 10 mm hose with the proper hose clamp, connect the hoses to the barbed ring eye fittings.

-

Connect the hoses with the fittings to the filter housing using the M12 x 1,5 banjo bolts and copper washers as shown in diagram on page 2 of this manual.

-

Use tie-raps to secure all hoses away from sharp, electrical and or hot surfaces.

start the engine and check for leaks.

7. CAMbIO DE CARTUCHO / FILTER CARTRIDgE CHANgE

el cambio de cartucho tiene que ser realizado cada 25.000 Km o 250 horas de funcionamiento como se describe en el manual de servicio de los constructores del motor.

-

Compruebe si tiene el elemento correcto para la carcasa de su filtro. (ver especificaciones)

-

Asegúrese que el sistema del filtro este sin presión cuando se sustituya el cartucho.

retirar el cartucho y el sello retenedor (O-ring) del empaque.

retirar la tapa superior de la carcasa del filtro y quite la tapa con el resorte de presión.

extraiga el cartucho utilizado y colocarlo en una bolsa de plástico cerrada para su eliminación adecuada. Coloque el nuevo cartucho en el sistema del filtro y la placa de presión con el resorte de nuevo en el cartucho del filtro.

reemplace el sello retenedor (O-ring), limpie las superficies de sellado y ponga la tapa sobre el sistema del filtro. Apriete los pernos de hexágono interior con una llave de tuercas de mínimo 9

Nm y máximo de 12 Nm.

iniciar el motor hasta que haya alcanzado su temperatura de funcionamiento para verificar si existen fugas.

7. CAMbIO DE CARTUCHO / FILTER CARTRIDgE CHANgE

-

Cartridge change has to take place at 25.000 KM or 250 operating hours as described in the constructors service manual of the engine.

-

Check if you have the correct filter element for the filter housing. (see specifications)

remove replacement element and O-ring from the plastic bag.

-

Unscrew the top lid of the filter housing and remove the pressure lid with spring.

remove the cartridge and put it in the enclosed plastic bag. Place the new cartridge and push it on

the bottom plate. Place the pressure lid with spring back on the new cartridge.

exchange the O-ring, clean sealing surfaces and screw the upper lid tight (torque 9-12 Nm).

run the engine until it is at operating temperature and check for leakages.

8. gARANTÍA / WARRANTy

1. sistema de FiltraciÓn

NTZ® otorga 3 años de garantía limitada en la cubierta del filtro (excluyendo los sellos/caucho) desde la fecha de la factura. en el supuesto caso de que el comprador encuentra un defecto, lo deberá notificar a su distribuidor de filtros NTZ®. si el defecto está justificado, la cubierta del filtro NTZ® será reemplazada o reparada de forma gratuita. Cualquier reclamo sobre la cubierta de los filtros NTZ® deberá ser dirigido directamente al distribuidor de filtros NTZ®. el reclamo debe contener una descripción clara de los resultados obtenidos, incluyendo fotos y especificaciones de la solicitud, junto con una copia de la factura.

2. ProlonGaciÓn de la Vida del aceite/tiemPos de cambios de aceite

Cuando el filtro es correctamente instalado, NTZ® garantiza la operación de filtrado óptimo del filtro

NTZ® y los efectos positivos para el equipo. el tiempo para realizar los cambios de aceite se pueden prolongar y llegan a darse con el uso adecuado del sistema NTZ®. No obstante, la condición del aceite, los tiempos en los cambios de aceite depende del fabricante original del equipo, de las condiciones de operación, selección del aceite/lubricante y el tipo de sistema. debido a las condiciones que se encuentran fuera del control de NTZ®, la prolongación de cualquier cambio de aceite queda a discreción del cliente. el cliente deberá realizar periódicamente análisis de aceite para asegurar que la condición de

éste es el recomendado en las especificaciones establecidas por el equipo original/fabricante de aceite.

Con una solicitud previa, NTZ® puede ayudar en esta actividad.

3. GarantÍa del eQuiPo en el improbable caso de daño material en el equipo, NTZ® garantizará la totalidad de los costos de reparación bajo las siguientes condiciones, (documentación que es total responsabilidad de quien hace el reclamo):

• si al equipo se le ha dado un apropiado mantenimiento y trabaja en buen estado al momento de la instalación, lo cual puede ser demostrado mediante las copias del historial del mantenimiento y

reparación de los equipos.

• si el filtro NTZ® fue instalado por un mecánico certificado.

• el usuario debe demostrar que el daño en el dispositivo se debe al mal funcionamiento de un sistema de filtro NTZ®, con una correcta instalación y habiéndolo proporcionado el uso adecuado.

• el cliente debe demostrar con datos reales o con un programa de cambios de aceite con períodos prolongados (datos históricos) que el aceite o lubricante en el dispositivo estaba dentro de las especificaciones de uso apropiado al momento de producirse la falla.

4. cobertura

La garantía y cobertura de NTZ® arriba mencionada no se extiende más allá (como consecuencia de) defectos en el filtro NTZ®. daños como resultado por terceras causas así como errores durante la instalación, montaje incorrecto en el circuito de lubricación, o por error en el montaje del dispositivo o mangueras, no son cubiertos ni por esta garantía ni por la cobertura de productos NTZ®.

Con respecto al montaje de piezas proporcionadas por NTZ®, la garantía aplicable es aquella proporcionada por el productor/ proveedor de las partes instaladas, la cual es traspasada por NTZ® al cliente. La responsabilidad es limitada al monto mencionado en la póliza de seguro sobre coberturas de riesgo que

NTZ® ha concluido con N.V. interpolis. Ningún reclamo puede exceder los 2’500.000,00 (dos millones quinientos mil 00/100 euros). el monto máximo de cobertura anual por daños no deberá exceder los

5´000.000,00 (cinco millones 00/100 de euros).

5. PolÍtica sobre la anulaciÓn de GarantÍa

La garantía no se aplica (es anulada) por el usuario, siempre y cuando:

• el filtro NTZ® es manipulado sin el debido cuidado o en contradicción con las instrucciones de uso de los filtros NTZ®, o si el filtro es usado con otro propósito que no sea el especificado.

• se hayan usado cartuchos genéricos y no los originales de NTZ®.

• el filtro NTZ® es re-instalado en un motor, trasmisión o aplicación hidráulica diferente a la indicada en el certificada en el certificado de garantía.

•

Una factura de compra con fecha no válida/certificado de garantía no es aplicable.

si el defecto o daño es el resultado de un desastre natural, por accidente, mal uso, o incorrecto uso, o por alguna causa externa, por lo que NTZ® no es responsable.

en caso de disputa legal se aplica la legislación Holandesa.

1. Filter sYstem

NTZ® grants a 3-year limited warranty on the NTZ® filter housing (excluding the accompanying o-rings) from the date of invoice. in the unlikely event that the purchaser finds a defect, the purchaser must notify their NTZ® dealer. if the defect is justified, the NTZ® filter housing will be replaced or repaired free of charge. Any claims to NTZ® filter housings should be addressed directly to your NTZ® point of contact. A claim should contain a clear description of the findings, including pictures and specifications of the application, along with a copy of the invoice.

2. eXtended oil liFe / drain interVals

When properly installed, NTZ® guarantees the effective filtering operation of the NTZ® filter and its

positive effects for the equipment. extended oil drain intervals are achievable with the proper use of the

NTZ® system. However, the condition of the oil and the oil change intervals are also dependent upon the original equipment manufacturer, operating conditions, selection of lube/oil, and system type. due to conditions out of the control of NTZ®, the length of any extended drain interval is at the discretion of the customer. The customer should perform regular oil analysis to ensure that the condition of the oil is within the recommended specifications as set by the original equipment/oil manufacturer. Upon request,

NTZ® can aid in this activity.

3. eQuiPment WarrantY in the unlikely event of material damage to the equipment, NTZ® warrants the entire cost of repair under the following conditions (documentation of which is the full responsibility of the claimant):

• The equipment is well maintained and worked properly at the moment of installation which can be proven by copies of the maintenance and repair history of the equipment.

• The NTZ filter is installed by a certified mechanic.

• The user must demonstrate the device damage is due to the malfunction of a properly installed and properly used NTZ® filter system.

• The customer must demonstrate from actual data or from a documented extended drain interval program (historical data) that the oil or lube fluid in the device was within the proper usage specifications at time of failure.

4. liabilitY

The above mentioned warranty and NTZ’s liability does not extend beyond (the consequences of) defects in the NTZ® filter. damage as a result of other means or caused by third parties, such as by errors during installation, by incorrect mounting onto the oil circuit or by mounting devices or hoses are not covered, neither by this warranty nor by NTZ’s product liability. With regard to mounting pieces supplied by NTZ® the warranty applicable is the warranty of the suppliers/producers of the mounting pieces which is passed on by NTZ® to its customers. Liabilities are limited to the amounts mentioned in the insurance policy for liability risks that NTZ has concluded with N.V. interpolis. No claim shall exceed euro

2.500.000. The maximum annual amount of damages covered shall not exceed euro 5.000.000.

5. breacH oF WarrantY PolicY

The warranty is non-applicable (breached) by user if and when:

• The NTZ® filter is handled without due care or in contradiction with the instructions for use, or if used for purposes other than its suggested purpose.

• Cartridges other than original NTZ® filter cartridges have been applied.

• The NTZ® filter is reinstalled onto an installation (engine, transmission, hydraulic application) other than indicated on the warranty certificate.

• No valid dated purchase invoice/warranty certificate can be produced.

•

The defect and/or the damage is a result of a natural disaster, accident, misuse, incorrect use or any other outside cause for which NTZ® is not liable.

in case of disputes dutch law is applicable.
