Cautions

To prevent any serious personal injury and/or damage to property, please be responsible when operating all remote controlled models. Extra attention is called for when operating any glow fuel powered model.

These models can exceed speeds of 31 mph (50km/h) and use highly poisonous and flammable fuels.

Choose the right place to operate your R/C model.

Do not run on public streets or highways. This could cause serious accidents, personal injuries, and/or property damage.

Never run R/C models near people or animals.

To avoid injury, do not run in confined spaces.

Do not run where loud noises can disturb others, such as hospitals and residential areas.

Never run indoors. There is a high risk of fire and/or damage.

Inspect your model before operation

Make sure that all screws and nuts are properly tightened. It is also a good idea to use removable thread lock wherever metal screws go into metal, especially for engine mounts and the engine pilot shaft.

Always use fresh batteries for your transmitter and for your receiver to avoid losing control of the model.

Always test the brakes and the throttle before starting your engine to avoid losing control of the model.

Make sure the air filter is clean and oiled. Never run your engine without an air filter.

Your engine can be seriously damaged if dirt and debris get inside the engine.

Make sure no one else is using the same radio frequency as you are using.

Heat, Fire, and Fuel Safety

Never use gasoline in a glow model engine. Use glow fuel specifically designed for car engines.

Using non-approved fuels in your engine can cause an explosion.

Do not run near open flames or smoke while running your model or while handling fuel.

Always store fuel in a well ventilated place, away from heating devices, open flames, direct sunlight, or batteries. Keep glow fuel away from children.

Be aware that some parts will be hot after operation. Do not touch the exhaust or the engine until they have cooled. These parts may reach 275 degrees during operation!

Glow fuel is flammable and poisonous. Always read the warning label for safety information.

Glow fuel powered model engines emit poisonous vapors and gasses. These vapors irritate eyes and can be highly dangerous to you health. We recommend wearing rubber or vinyl gloves to avoid direct contact with glow fuel. Also, be aware of spilled or leaking fuel. Fuel leaks can cause fires or explosions.

Überprüfen Sie Ihr Model, bevor Sie es in Betrieb nehmen

Gehen Sie sicher, dass alle Schrauben und Muttern festgezogen sind. Verwenden Sie überall dort Schrauben sicherungslack, wo Metallschrauben in ein Metallgewinde greifen, besonders bei den Motorhaltern.

Um Störungen zu vermeiden, benutzen Sie immer voll geladene Akkus in Ihrem Sender und Empfängerakku.

Wärme, Feuer und Kraftstoff Vorsichtsmaßnahmen

Benutzen Sie niemals normales Benzin. Verwenden Sie nur speziellen Modellbau Kraftstoff, der für Modellautomotoren entwickelt wurde. Falscher Kraftstoff kann Explosionen verursachen.

Halten Sie sich von offenen Flammen fern und rauchen Sie während des Fahrens oder Tankens nicht.

Lagern Sie den Kraftstoff nur in gut belüfteten Räumen, fern von Wärmequellen, offenen Flammen oder Batterien.

Lagern Sie den Kraftstoff fern von Kindern.

Während des Betriebs können einige Teile des Motors sehr heiß werden. Berühren Sie niemals den Motor oder

Auspuff, solange diese Teile noch nicht abgekühlt sind. Die Teile können Temperaturen bis zu 170°C erreichen.

Kraftstoff ist hochentflammbar und giftig. Beachten Sie daher immer die Warnhinweise und

Sicherheitsinfomationen. Modellautomotoren stossen giftige Dämpfe und Gase aus, welche die

Augen reizen und schlecht für Ihre Gesundheit sind. Wir empfehlen, dass Sie beim Umgang mit

Kraftstoff Gummi- oder Latexhandschuhe tragen, um so den direkten Kontakt mit der Haut zu vermeiden. Achten Sie auch auf verschütetten oder ausgelaufenen Kraftstoff. Dieser kann Feuer oder Explosionen verursachen.

Précautions

Pour prévenir tout accident de personne ou de chose lors de l'utilisation de votre voiture, nous vous recommandons de faire attention aux points suivants :

Choisir le lieu adéquat pour faire rouler votre modèle.

Ne jamais rouler dans les rues publiques ou sur les routes. Ceci peut provoquer de graves accidents.

Ne jamais rouler près de personnes ou d'animaux.

Pour éviter des dommages, ne pas rouler dans les allées, cours et autres endroits fermés.

Ne jamais rouler où le bruit peut déranger, comme les hôpitaux ou les quartiers résidentiels.

Ne jamais rouler à l'intérieur: les gaz d'échappement sont nocifs.

Vérifier votre modèle avant chaque utilisation

Vérifier que les vis et les écrous sont bien serrés. Il est très vivement conseillé d'utiliser du frein filet pour bloquer les vis qui sont en contact avec du métal et tout particulierement les vis du moteur.

Toujours utiliser des batteries bien charges pour l'émission et la réception.

Toujours vérifier les freins et la commande des gaz avant de démarrer.

Vérifier que le filtre à air est propre et huilé. Ne jamais rouler sans filtre à air.

Votre moteur peut être sérieusement endommagé s'il absorbe de la poussière ou des débris.

Vérifier qu'aucune autre personne n'utilise votre fréquence radio.

Précautions avec le carburant

Ne jamais utiliser d'essence ordinaire. Utiliser du carburant spécial pour moteurs de modèles réduits.

L'utilisation d'un carburant non approprié peut causer une explosion.

Eviter les flammes nues et la fumée quand vous roulez et pendant que vous faites le plein du réservoir.

Toujours garder le carburant dans un lieu bien aéré, à l'abri des sources de chaleur, de flammes nues, des rayons du soleil et des batteries. Ne pas laisser à portée des enfants.

Certaines parties sont très chaudes. Ne pas toucher l'échappement et le moteur avant qu'ils n'aient refroidi. Ces pièces peuvent atteindre de trés hautes températures!

Le carburant contient du méthanol et du nitrométhane, composés chimiques hautement explosibles et toxiques. Eviter tout contact avec les yeux et la peau. Ne jamais utiliser du carburant en intérieur, mais seulement dans des endroits extérieurs bien ventilés. Le carburant s'évapore sous forme de vapeurs dangereuses pour votre santé. Lire les instructions avant de l'utiliser. Toujours le stocker à l'abri des enfants.

Para evitar accidentes con personas u objetos durante el uso del modelo, le recomendamos lea atentamente estas instrucciones. Preste especial atención al usar modelos con motor de gasolina. Inspeccione su modelo antes de rodar.

Asegúrese que todos los tornillos están correctamente apretados, use fijatornillos en los tornillos que roscan sobre partes metálicas como los soportes de motor.

Almacene el combustible en lugar ventilado, lejos del calor y de la luz solar. Manténgalo lejos de los niños.

Algunas partes del modelo pueden estar muy calientes al finalizar, en especial el motor y el escape, no los toque hasta que se hayan enfriado.

El combustible glow es tóxico y altamente inflamable . Lea siempre las etiquetas de los envases.

El combustible glow emite gases nocivos para la salud. Los vapores del combustible irritan los ojos y son muy dañinos para la salud. Recomendamos que use guantes para manipular el combustible.

Tenga cuidado con las salpicaduras y posibles perdidas de combustible, pueden incendiarse.

Si el freno actúa , puede estropear el embrague.

Compruebe la emisora y su alcance

Compruebe el equipo de radio antes de cada uso. Para controlar el alcance máximo, pida a un compañero que se aleje con el modelo , con el motor parado, hasta el punto mas lejano al que desee llegar.

Verifique que el modelo responde correctamente a su señal. No lo ponga en marcha si tiene algún problema de recepción de la señal.

Antes de usar el Roto Start compruebe el estado de carga de las baterías de su Nitro 3 y su emisora.

Compruebe el correcto funcionamiento del equipo de radio de su Nitro 3 antes de arrancar.

Solo cargue baterías de NiCd. Otros tipos de baterías pueden estallar y provocar daños a personas u objetos. No cargue las baterías mas tiempo que el indicado en las instrucciones del cargador. No sobre caliente las baterías ya que puede dañarlas.

Mantenga el modelo levantado del suelo sobre un soporte

Prime the carburetor by pressing the fuel tank primer until fuel reaches the carburetor. Once fuel has completely filled the fuel line (no air bubbles) continue to press the primer button 1 more times.

Cebe el carburador presionando sobre el cebador del deposito hasta que el combustible llegue al carburador. Una vez que el tubo este lleno de combustible ( sin burbujas) , apriete una vez mas el cebador.

Stopping the motor

Pull the starter cord using quick short pulls, never pulling it more than

12 inches (30cm). This can damage the pull start. Do not pull the starter chord if it becomes hard to pull. This can also damage the pull start.

The engine may be flooded. Check the trouble shooting section of this manual for help.

Ziehen Sie den Seilzugstarter immer kurz und schnell heraus. Dabei d¸rfen Sie das Seil niemals ¸ber 30cm herausziehen, da dadurch der Starter besch‰digt werden kann.

Sollte es immer schwerer werden, den Seilzugstarter zu ziehen kann es sein, dass ihr

Motor abgesoffen ist. Schauen Sie in der Fehlerbeschreibung dieser Anleitung nach.

Tire del arrancador con tirones cortos y no sobrepasando jamás los 30cm para no dañar el arrancador. No tire del arrancador si le es dificil, puede averiar el tirador.

Use un trapo

Use a rag to cover the exhaust tip. This will stop the motor. Be careful! The exahust is extremely hot so be sure to use a thick rag.

Dadurch geht der Motor aus. Seien Sie aber vorsichtig, da der

Auspuff und die Abgase sehr heiﬂ sind. Verwenden Sie deshalb ein dickes Tuch.

Bloquez l'orifice d'Èchappement avec un chiffon. Cela arrÍte le moteur. Attention ! Le pot d'Èchappement est extrÍmement chaud. Il faut utiliser un chiffon Èpais.

Tapone el tubo se salida del escape con un trapo, así parara el motor. Atencion¡¡ el escape estará muy caliente, use un trapo grueso.

Importante

Mantenimiento filtro de aire (cada 5 depósitos):

1. Retire la espuma y lávela con combustible para eliminar el polvo

2-Impregnela de aceite para filtro de aire y vuelva a montarla

Pince el tubo de combustible

En caso de emergencia , puede parar el motor estrangulando el tubo de combustible para cortar la llegada de combustible al motor. Atención , puede dañar el motor si lo deja rodar con poco combustible, es mejor usar un trapo.

Siga estos consejos de rodaje para evitar daños en su motor.

1. Elija un lugar ventilado y sin polvo. Coloque el

modelo sobre un soporte para que las ruedas

no toquen el suelo

2. Llene el deposito y arranque el motor

3. Dejelo rodar hasta que se agote el

combustible. Déjelo enfriar y repita el punto 2

4. Arranque el motor y ruede con el coche.

Compruebe el correcto funcionamiento de los

servos. No acelere a fondo, ruede al ralenti.

Repita este procedimiento 3 o 4 veces dejando

enfriar el motor entre cada arranque.

5. Ajuste el relenti

Importante ¡¡

El motor debe expulsar siempre humo azul por el escape. Si no humea es que el reglaje es muy pobre y el motor puede dañarse. Durante el rodaje es normal que salga combustible por el escape

Use un calentador de bujías bien cargado para comprobar la bujía. Sosténgala con unos alicates. Si la bujía esta en buen estado el filamento brilla completamente de color naranja o rojo. Si el filamento no brilla o esta estropeado , sustituya la bujía. El filamento esta muy caliente después de la prueba.

Realice los ajustes con el motor parado. Ajústelo en pasos de 90º. Si el cambio es muy rápido, apriete el tornillo de ajuste. Si el cambio es mas lento (tarde) afloje el tornillo

En el motor de origen use el muelle 86050a (plata) y apretarlo hasta que toque (no bloquearlo) y a continuación aflójelo 2 vueltas. Para los motores de mayores prestaciones , OS o Nitro Star Pro, utilice el muelle 86050b (negro) y aflójelo tres vueltas.
