This screen displays an overview of all events.

When an event occurs, the corresponding channel flashes for 5 seconds.

Video Recording

Video recording will only take place if all the connections are made correctly as per information contained in Part 2 of this operation manual.

Audio Recording

If the Record Audio option under

Panic Recording

• Covert protection on cameras also applies to video recording playback.

Batch Assignment

Certain table-format menus such as the shown in the

Camera Setup on page 44

allow you to change the title value. In this case, changing the title value simultaneously changes all other entry values on the same row.

System Setup

Mouse

Using a mouse makes it easier to configure the settings.

A mouse lets you make selections faster and use its wheel to scroll through long menus. You can also use the mouse wheel to increase/decrease numerical values.

General

This Setup menu contains general system options.

•

Site

: Used to enter a description about the system’s installation site (no description by default). You can edit the information using the virtual keyboard.

•

System ID

: Used to identify the DVR apart from other

DVRs. System ID is also used to control the DVR with the remote control and identify the unit when it is connected with other DVRs through the RS485 port.

The default System ID is 0 and can be changed to a value between 0 and 99. The System ID can also be entered using the virtual keyboard.

•

Language

: Choose a language.

•

Version

: Indicates the software version.

Part 2 - Configuration

•

Upgrade

: Upgrade the system. If NetFS feature is in use, click Upgrade. You can select the USB Port or

NetFS. If NetFS feature is not in use, you can select the USB port only. Selecting the USB port displays the

USB search window. You will then be able to select an upgrade package and upgrade the system. Selecting the NetFS displays the registered FTP site lists.

Once the upgrade is complete, the DVR will reboot automatically.

• The “.rui” indicates that the file is for software upgrades.

• If an upgrade attempt fails, an upgrade failure message will be displayed. Refer to

Error Code

Types in the installation manual

for more details.

•

Show System Log

: Displays a searchable list of 5,000 most recent system log entries. For more information on types of system log entries, refer to the

System

Log Types in the installation manual

. The icon appears next to log entries originating from a remote source. To export the system log, select the

at the bottom of the screen and then designate a file name.

: Exports current DVR settings or imports existing settings. If NetFS feature is in use, you can export or import DVR settings in the registered FTP site.

• The FEN name you register on the FEN server will be a unique name used to identify the

DVR. Once registered, the name can be used to access the DVR directly from clients such as the IDIS Center. Check the name's availability to complete the registration process. The Finish button will then become activated.

• You will be prompted with an error message if you do not enter a name for the DVR or enter a name already registered on the FEN server.

•

Depending on the network environment,

FEN services may not be active and therefore prevent the DVR from connecting to the network. In this case, you will need to manually configure the ports. For more information on

Network Setup on page 49

A disk problem may cause mirroring to stop. The separated disk can be used to reboot the system.

• This function does not work properly if the connected hard disk has been already used for mirroring in other DVR.

It allows you to register NetFS sites for the following functions:

• Upload or download of files for upgrade, import/ export of a setup file, log export, or file print on a FTP site. Related settings are as follows:

: (Setup) in the live monitoring mode - System menu - General tab - Upgrade, Import, Export

: (Export) in the search mode - Print

• Upload of clip-copy files on a FTP site. Related settings are as follows:

: (Export) in the search mode - A-B Clip-Copy or

Clip-Copy.

• FTP notification of an event detection (system event excluded). Related settings are as follows:

: (Setup) in the live monitoring mode - Notification menu - FTP tab - FTP setting,

: (Setup) in the live monitoring mode - Event menu - Actions – Notify (FTP) setting)

It is recommended that you use FileZilla and smallFtp servers

This feature is supported only in the PASV(passive mode) of the FTP site.

Part 2 - Configuration

•

Site

: Enter NetFS site information.

• When you delete a FTP site in the NetFS setup screen on the Network menu, the FTP site in the FTP setup screen on the Eventupload will be deleted, too.

• When you change the usage to other than ALL or Clip-Copy, a FTP notification function will be disabled.

• Select the icon to delete the existing NetFS site.

Entering the NetFS site information using the virtual.Click the

test

buton to test the current NetFS site settings you made.

Select the

Use NetFS

to use the NETFS feature. Select the

+ icon at the bottom of the list to add a FTP site up to 16.

•

Title

: Display the NetFS site name. Use the virtual keyboard to enter the name.

•

Use

: Select the usage of the NetFS feature.

– N/A: disables the NetFS feature.

– ALL: enables the NetFS feature.

– Upgrade: It allows you to use the upgrade file uploaded on the NetFS site.

– Setup: It allows you to import or export a setup file uploaded on the NetFS site.

– System Log – It allows you to save system log on the

NetFS site.

– Clip-Copy – It allows you to manually copy video clips to the NetFS site or to automatically copy event-detected video clips to the NetFS site.

– Print – It allows you to save images as a PDF file on the NetFS site.

•

Address

: Enter the NetFS address using the virtual keyboard.

•

Port

: Configure the port for connecting NetFS site.

•

Remoth path

: Enter a folder path in the NetFS site using the virtual keyboard.

•

User

Password

: Enter the user and password when accessing the NetFS site using the virtual keyboard.

•

Test

: Test the current NetFS site settings you made.

Notification Setup

+Group:

Add a recipient group and select the image file format attached to an email.

•

LAN:

Enter the IP address of the receiving server and set

to between 1 and 10 in case of connection failure.

Push:

Send out event-related messages to mobile phone.

Enable to receive the event occured in DVR on the mobile phone(Android, iOS). The DVR must be registered and set in mobile phone.

A virtual keyboard appears allowing you to enter the

Group name. You can select among CBF, JPG, and

MP4. When selecting CBF, the DVR will attach an event detected video clip to an email. When selecting JPG, the DVR will attach the event detected image file (JPEG format) to an email. When selecting MP4, the DVR will attach the event detected video clip (MP4 format) to an email.

•

+Mail:

Add a mail recipient.

Assign the Recipient to a Group and enter the Recipient’s

Display Name. Enter the recipient’s e-mail address and mail server provider. Select the icon to select the mail server provider from a list of registered SMTP mail server providers.

The recipient's mail address must be in the correct email format and contain the @ symbol.

Select the

Attach Type

icon to attach event recordings to outgoing mails.

Select the icon to remove the account.

Part 2 - Configuration

The FTP feature uploads event detected image or video clip on the FTP site when an event occurs. Select the + icon at the bottom of the list to add a FTP site.

: Select the file format to be uploaded on the FTP site. the time frame to schedule.

The FTP site can be registered up to 5.

Select the + icon at the bottom of the list to add a FTP site.

• For the FTP notification to work properly, the related settings should be configured:

Network menu - NetFS tab - Use setting

- Event menu - Actions - EventUpload setting

• When you delete the FTP site in the NetFS setup screen on the Network menu, the FTP site in the

FTP setup screen on the Notification menu will be deleted, too.

• If many event occurs during a short period, images may not be uploaded on the FTP site.

•

The FTP notification is not supported for system events.

• If upload fails several times, it deletes the images or video clips.

• When the DVR boots, it deletes all images and video clips even if they were not uploaded yet.

Schedule

Select the + icon at the lower left corner of the screen to add a notification schedule.

Day

: Add different schedules for different days of the week.

•

Range

: Change the event notification time frame.

•

Notify

: Select which notifications to generate when an event occurs. Select
