IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following :

Read all instructions.

▶ Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

▶ To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs in water or other liquid.

▶

Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by or near children.

This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision.

Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

▶

Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

▶ Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner.

Return appliance to your nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

▶ If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.

▶

The use of accessary attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.

▶

Do not use outdoors.

▶ Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

▶ Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, on in a heated oven.

▶

Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

▶

Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into wall outlet.

To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.

▶ Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

▶ Do not obstruct the steam vent hole with any articles, e.g.a piece of cloth.

▶

Do not place the inner pot directly over flame for cooking.

PRECAUTION A PRENDRE

Lors de l’utilisation de tout appareil électrique, il est toujours recommandé de prendre certaines précautions, dont les suivantes :

Lire toutes les instructions

▶ Eviter de toucher aux surfaces chaudes. Toujours utiliser les poignées ou les anses.

▶ Afin de prévenir tout risque de choc électrique, ne pas immerger les cordons, les prises

électriques ou l’appareil dans l’eau ou tout autre liquide à l’exception du panier.

▶ Ne jamais laisser des enfants utiliser l’appareil sans surveillance.

▶ Après usage et avant le nettoyage, toujours débrancher l’appareil. Laisser refroidir avant de retirer des pièces ou de les remettre en place.

Ne jamais utiliser l’appareil si sa prise électrique ou son cordon est endommagé ou après avoir constaté une défectuosité ou des dommages.

▶

Le cas échéant ce câble doit être remplacé par le fabricant, son service après vente ou une personne de qualification similaire afin d’éviter tout danger.

L’utilisation d’accessoires non recommandés par le fabricant peut représenter un risque de dommages.

▶ Ne pas utiliser l’appareil à l’extérieur.

▶ Ne pas laisser le cordon pendre d’une table ou d’un comptoir, ni le mettre en contact avec une surface chaude.

▶ Ne pas placer l’appareil sur le dessus ou à proximité d’un appareil de chauffage, ni dans un four chaud.

▶ La plus grande prudence est de mise lors du déplacement d’un appareil contenant tout liquide chauffé.

Toujours brancher le cordon d’ alimentation à l’appareil avant d’en brancher la fiche dans une prise secteur. Avant de débrancher, couper le contact, puis retirer la fiche de la prise secteur.

N’utiliser l’appareil qu’aux fins recommandées.

Ne pas obstruer l’autocuiseur avec du textile.

Ne pas mettre le panier au contact direct d’une flamme.

ADDITIONAL SAFEGUARDS

▶

Avoid touching hot parts : outer lid, inner pot, inner lid and especially the steam vent hole.

▶ Do not switch on when the main body is empty.

▶ Make sure that heating plate and the magnetic switch are clean and dry whenever putting the inner pot into the cooker.

▶

Do not use sharp instruments to clean the inner pot as these will damage the non-stick coating.

▶

A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

▶ Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.

▶ This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as :

- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

- farm houses;

- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

- bed and breakfast type environments.

SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS/SPECIFICATIONS

Note : A. A short power-supply cord (or cord set) is to be provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

B. Longer cord set or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.

C. If a long cord set or extension cord is used.

(1) the marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.

(2) if the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type three-wire cord, and

(3) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.

CAUTION :

During use, the internal parts of the rice cooker and the area around the steam vent are

HOT.

Keep out of reach of children to avoid possible injury.

배출구 패킹(Steam Vent Seal Packing)을

강제로 빼거나 손상시키지 마십시오.

(Steam Vent Seal Packing)이 분리 되었거나 손상되었을

경우 제품 사용을 중단하고 구입하신 대리점이나 서비스센터

로 문의해 주십시오.

증기 배출구는 이물질이 없도록 항상 깨끗이

유지하여 주십시오.

사용 전 후 취사 스위치가

눌러지지 않거나 작동이

제품 손질 방법

- 청소를 잘하지 않으면 보온 중 냄새가 나는 원인이 됩니다. 특히 뚜껑부는 자주 청소해 주십시오.

(전원플러그를 빼고 본체의 열이 식고 난 후 손질하십시오.)

- 본체·뚜껑은 물기를 제거한 행주로 닦아 주십시오. 벤젠, 신나 등은 사용하지 마십시오.

- 사용중 분리형 커버나 내솥 내부에 밥물이 묻어 전분막이 생기는 수가 있으나, 위생상 아무런 영향이 없습니다.

질 및 물기를 깨끗이 닦아 주십

시오. 거친 수세미, 솔, 연마제

등은 코팅이 벗겨질 수 있으므로

주방용 세제와 부드러운 천,

스폰지로 닦아 주십시오.

내솥의 분리형커버에 밥물이

묻어 있는 경우, 분리형커버를

본체에서 탈거한 후 물기를 제거

한 행주로 분리형커버와 뚜껑

내부를 닦아 주십시오. 뚜껑의

가장자리 부분은 금속으로 되어

있으므로 청소할 때 주의 하십시오.

(※분리형커버가 변형 되지 않도록

주의해 사용하시고 청소 후 반드시

장착하여 사용해 주십시오.)

취사시 발생하는 밥물은 이곳에

고일수 있도록 설계되 있으므로

취사 완료 후 물기를 제거한 행

주로 깨끗이 닦아 주십시오.

온도감지기에 이물질이 눌러

붙어 있는 경우는 금속판이 손상

되지 않게 제거 하십시오. 열판

천으로 깨끗이 닦아 주십시오.

※ 내솥 세척 시 유의 사항

날카로운 식기류(포크, 숟가락, 젓가락 등)를 내솥에 넣은 채

세척하지 마십시오.

- 내솥 코팅이 손상 될 수 있습니다.

분리형커버 부착 방법

▶ 그림 상태에서 분리형커버 패킹을 뚜껑 안쪽의 분리형

커버걸이에 살짝 밀어 삽입해 주면 부착이 완료됩니다.

▶ 분리형커버의 문구가 왼쪽 그림과 같이 정면으로

오도록 결합 해 주십시오.

내솥에 밥알이 달라붙는 것을 방지하기 위하여 내면에 불화탄소수지 코팅을 하였습니다.

- 반드시 부속품의 주걱을 사용해 주십시오.

- 금속성 스푼이나 식기류를 넣지 마십시오.

- 벤젠, 신나 등은 사용하지 마십시오.

- 조미료 사용시에는 곧바로 씻어 주십시오.

사용방법

계량컵으로 쌀을 정확히 조절하여 주십시오.

▶ 계량컵의 쌀 1컵은 약 180ml이며,

이는 어른 1인분 취사량입니다.

※ 계량컵이 없을 경우 쌀 1컵은 약 150g이므로,

저울을 이용하여 계량하는 것을 권장합니다.

내솥외의 다른 그릇에서 쌀을 깨끗하게

씻어 주십시오.

▶ 쌀을 씻는 방법

① 별도의 용기에 쌀을 손바닥으로 20번 가량 문질러

씻어 주십시오.

② 맑은 물이 나올 때까지 충분히 헹구어 주십시오.

③ 씻은 쌀을 체에 30분 가량 두었다가 취사하시면 더욱

좋은 밥을 지을 수 있습니다.

씻은 쌀을 내솥에 넣고 물을 조절하여 주십시오.

▶ 내솥의 눈금은 물을 맞추는 기준이 됩니다.

예) 가령 6컵(계량컵기준)의 쌀로 밥을 짓고자 할 때 씻은 쌀을 먼저

내솥에 넣고, 물이 6눈금까지 올라오도록 정확하게 맞추어 주십시오.

※ 내솥을 수평한 곳에 놓아야만 정확한 물 조절을 할 수 있습니다.

알아 두십시오.

1. 보온시 냄새를 제거하려면

내솥에 1/3 정도 물을 넣는다.

내솥 뚜껑을 닫고 취사 스위치를 누른다.

약 10분 정도 물을 끓게한 후 보온으로 전환한다.

물이 적당히 식었을 때 내솥을 들어내어 깨끗이 씻는다.

2. 제품을 개봉한 후 내솥에 이물질이 묻어 있을 수 있으니 사용하기 전에 내솥을 깨끗이 씻은

후 사용하십시오.

3. 분리형커버을 부착하지 않으면 보온성능이 떨어지므로 반드시 분리형커버을 부착하여 사용해 주십시오.

4. 내솥을 밥 취반외 다른 용도로 절대 사용하지 마십시오. 만일 다른 용도로 사용을 했을시에는

취사전 꼭 1번 방법으로 냄새제거 후 취사를 해주십시오.

5. ‘멜라노이징’현상이란?

이 보온밥솥은 밥의 밑면에 엷은 누런 빛깔이 나타나는데 이는 밥이 여분의 수분을 받아 밥 특유의

구수한 향기와 맛을 내는 멜라노이징 현상을 일으켜 맛있는 밥이 되도록 설계되어 있기 때문입니다.

6. 보온중 제품에서“똑똑”소리가 나는 것은 보온온도조절기가 정상적으로 작동하는 소리이므로

고장이 아닙니다.

7. 보온중에는 내솥이 없는 상태에서도 전원인가 및 램프에 점등이 되도록 설계되어 있습니다.

(사용하지 않을때는 플러그를 뽑아주십시오.)

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

- Negligent cleaning may cause a bad smell while keeping the rice warm. Clean the lid frequently

(Clean the rice cooker after pulling out the plug and wait until the main body cools.)

- Wipe the main body and the lid with a dry dishcloth. Do not use benzene or thinners.

- The rice water left on the inner lid or in the inner pot may form a starch film but it is harmless.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

How to Manage the Inner Part

We have coated the inside of the product with non-stick fluorocarbon coating in order to prevent rice from sticking on the pot.

- Use the Rice Scoop.

- Do not put a metallic spoon or dishware into the product.

- Do not use benzene, thinner etc.

- If you have used seasoning, wash the product immediately after use.

- Some stain may remain during the use, but this does not affect the hygiene.

Wipe the body frequently with dry cloth, soft material or etc.

Before cleaning, pull out the detachable cover.

When storing, cooking, and warming, make sure to wipe out all the moisture off the outer part of the oven. It may cause outer coating to change color.

After cooking, wipe the excess water with a wet cloth to prevent any smell in the future.

If there is any alien substance on the temperature sensor carefully wipe it out without damping the metal plate.

Wash inner lid and accessories with running water and wipe them with dry cloth.

HOW TO USE

Measure rice precisely with measuring cup.

▶ One measuring cup of rice is about 180mL, the cooking amount for 1 serving of adults.

Wash rice in container other than Inner pot.

▶

How to wash rice

Wash rice by rubbing it 20 times or so with palm in separate container.

②

Rinse rice sufficiently until clear water comes out.

③

For better taste of rice, cook washed rice after leaving it for 30 minutes or so in sieve.

Put washed rice in Inner pot and adjust water amount.

▶ The graduations of Inner pot serve as the criteria to adjust water level. For instance, to cook rice for

6 servings, put 6 measuring cups of washed rice into Inner pot, and adjust water precisely so that water may be filled up to graduation of 6.

※ Water may be adjusted accurately only if Inner pot is placed at horizontal place.

▶ Water Amount:

· When rice is swollen sufficiently

· For thicker rice

· When cooking with long-stored rice

· For soft-boiled rice

Pour less water than specified amount.

Before having the rice, please stir the rice after 15~20 Mins in Warm mode.Then close the lid and keep the cooker in

1. To remove odor during Warming:

Pour water in Inner pot up to the graduation for 10 servings cooking.

Close the lid of Inner pot, and press Cooking button.

③

Leave the water boiling for 10 minutes or so, and switch to Warm mode.

④

When water is cooled down properly, take out inner pot and inner lid and wash them clean.

2. After product is opened, foreign matters may be stained at Inner pot. Wash Inner pot clean before using it.

3. If inner lid is not attached, warm performance may drop. Be sure to attach separable cover before use.

4. NEVER use inner pot for purpose other than rice cooking. If inner pot is used for other purpose, remove odor in the method provided in paragraph 1 before cooking.

5. What is melanoizing?

Rice cooked/warmed in this rice cooker will assumes slightly yellowish tone at the bottom.

This is a phenomenon called melanoizing which is intended to produces the unique soothing flavor and taste of rice.

6. During warming, 'click' sound may occur from the product. This sound indicates that thermometer is working properly and does not mean it's malfunctioned.

7. This rice cooker is designed so that power be supplied and lamp illuminate even when Inner pot is not in place. (When the rice cooker is not used, pull out power plug.)

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN

Si l'appareil n'a pas été bien nettoyé, une odeur désagréable peut se dégager lorsque le riz est gardé au chaud. Nettoyer fréquemment le couvercle.

(Avant de nettoyer l'autocuiseur, débrancher l'appareil et attendre que l'élément principal refroidisse.)

- Essuyer l'élément principal et le couvercle avec un torchon sec. Ne pas utiliser de benzène ou de diluant.

- L'eau de cuisson du riz restant sur le couvercle intérieur ou dans le panier amovible peut former une pellicule d'amidon, mais cela ne présente pas de danger.

Essuyer les résidus et l'humidité se trouvant à l'extérieur et au fond du panier amovible.

L'utilisation d'une éponge rugueuse, d'une brosse ou d'un abrasif peut endommager le revêtement. Utiliser un produit d'entretien neutre avec une

éponge ou un torchon doux.

S'il reste de l'eau sur le couvercle intérieur, l'essuyer avec un torchon sec. Les bords du couvercle étant en métal, les nettoyer avec soin.

L'eau de cuisson du riz tombe dans le récupérateur d'eau. Après la cuisson, le nettoyer avec un torchon sec.

Si des résidus sont collés au capteur de température, les retirer en évitant d'endommager la plaque métallique. Essuyer les résidus et l'humidité se trouvant sur la plaque chauffante.

Précautions à prendre pour le nettoyage du panier amovible

Retirer les couverts pointus (fourchette, cuillère, etc.) pouvant se trouver dans le panier avant de le nettoyer.

- Ils pourraient endommager le revêtement du panier.

Comment entretenir le panier amovible

L'intérieur du produit est enduit d'un revêtement antiadhésif à base de fluorocarbure pour que le riz ne colle pas au panier.

- Utiliser la cuillère à riz.

- Ne pas utiliser de cuillères ou d'ustensiles métalliques dans cet appareil.

- Ne pas utiliser de benzène, de diluant, etc.

- Si des assaisonnements ont été utilisés pendant la cuisson, nettoyer l'appareil immédiatement après usage.

- Des tâches peuvent rester pendant l'utilisation, mais cela n'a pas d'effet sur la santé.

Essuyer fréquemment le corps de l’autocuiseur avec une serviette.

Avant le nettoyage, retirer le couvercle détachable.

Avant de ranger l'appareil ou de l'utiliser pour cuire ou réchauffer du riz, essuyer l'humidité se trouvant sur la face externe du panier. Cela peut entraîner un changement de couleur du revêtement.

Après la cuisson, essuyer l'eau avec un chiffon humide pour éviter les odeurs désagréables.

Si des résidus se trouvent sur le capteur de température, les retirer délicatement sans humidifier la plaque métallique.

Nettoyer le couvercle intérieur et accessoires et essuyer avec une serviette.

CONSEILS D’UTILISATION

Mesurer la quantité de riz à l’aide de la tasse de mesure fourni.

▶ Une tasse remplie de riz équivaut à 180ml soit une portions pour adultes.

Rincer le riz dans un récipient autre que le panier amovible.

Comment rincer

Utiliser les bols à riz pour le rinçage du riz, ne pas utiliser le panier amovible. (Cela provoquerait des rayures endommageant Le film anti-adhésif)

② Nettoyer le riz jusqu’à ce que l’eau soit claire.

Pour un meilleur gout, attendre 30 minutes avant de le placer dans le panier amovible.

Verser la quantité d’eau nécessaire

Les graduations sur le panier amovible servent à voir la quantité d’eau requise. Pour 6 portions de riz, il faut mettre 6 tasses de riz lavé dans le panier amovible et rajouter de l’eau jusqu’à ce qu’elle atteigne le niveau 6.

L’eau peut être rajouté petit à petit et de préférence à l’aide d’un support stable pour éviter les éclaboussures.

Niveau d’eau variable : Pour un riz de texture moelleuse, mettre plus d’eau que le niveau recommandé. Pour un riz de texture sèche, mettre moins d’eau que le niveau recommandé.

Si le riz et l’eau n’ont pas été mesurés préalablement, le riz ne sera pas cuit dans les conditions souhaitées. Si la quantité de riz excède le niveau de riz conseillé sur le panier amovible, lors de la cuisson riz ne sera pas assez cuit.

REMARQUES

1. Si l’autocuiseur dégage une mauvaise odeur :

- Mettre de l’eau dans le panier amovible jusqu’au niveau 10 portions

- Refermer le couvercle et appuyer sur l’interrupteur COOK

- Laisser bouillir pendant 10 minutes jusqu’à que la lumière WARMs’allume

- Quand l’eau refroidit, enlever doucement le panier amovible et le couvercle intérieur pour le laver.

2. Lorsque l’autocuiseur est ouvert, des corps étrangers peuvent rentrer dans le panier amovible. Bien le relaver avant tout autre utilisation

3. Si le couvercle intérieur n’est pas attaché, des résidus peuvent s’installer dans le couvercle

4. NE JAMAIS utiliser le panier amovible pour une autre utilisation que la cuisson de riz.

5. Le riz peut être bruni lors de la cuisson, Cela produit une texture et un goût unique au riz.

6. Lors du garde chaud, le bruit du « click » veut dire que le thermomètre intégré à l’autocuiseur marche convenablement.

7. L’autocuiseur a été conçu pour que lorsque qu’il est branché à une prise murale, la lumière s’allume même si le panier amovible n’est pas à l’intérieur. (Si l’autocuiseur n’est pas utilisé il faut débrancher le cordon alimentaire à la prise murale)
