Using Your Remote Control

Arming the Security System

To arm the system, exit the vehicle, close all doors (UTV), then press the ARM button.

The parking lights will flash one (1) time, indicating the system is armed and the starter disable feature is activated. The LED status indicator will blink steadily, once per second.

NOTE: The system is equipped with a feature called Silent Choice. If enabled, the system will not provide an audible response when pressing the ARM button.

Disarming the Security System

To disarm the system press the DISARM button. The parking lights will flash two (2) times, indicating the system is disarmed and the starter disable feature is deactivated.

Activating the AUX Ch. 3 Feature (Optional)

If this feature is enabled on your system, pressing the ARM & DISARM buttons simultaneously will activate the AUX output. Please consult you dealer for more information.

Using the Personal Protection Alarm (Panic)

Press and hold the ARM button for three (3) seconds to activate the personal protection alarm. During panic mode, the normal function of the remote control buttons will be suspended. To stop the alarm, press and release the DISARM button on the remote control. The system will automatically stop after thirty (30) seconds.

Bypassing the Shock / Tilt Sensor

Press the ARM button to arm the system. Pressing the ARM button again within five (5) seconds will override the tilt sensor. Within five (5) seconds of tilt override, press the

ARM button again to override the shock sensor.

*Throughout this manual, ‘press’ refers to pressing for less than 1 second; ‘press and hold’ refers to pressing for more than 3 seconds.

Valet Mode

When valet mode is activated the status LED will light solid, and all security functions

will be disabled. To enter or exit valet mode simply follow the steps outlined below:

1. Turn the vehicle’s ignition ON two (2) times, ending in ON.

2. Press the ARM button on the remote control three (3) times.

3. Turn the vehicle’s ignition OFF.

Once activated, the LED will illuminate solid for one (1) hour, After one (1) hour the system LED will flash three (3) times every ten (10) seconds. Also, while in valet mode the system will beep three (3) times when the user presses the ARM button.

To exit Valet Mode, Repeat steps 1-3 above.

Manually Overriding the Security System

The Default Override procedure will disable the alarm when the remote is not available or has become inoperative. If the vehicle is operated without disarming, the alarm will sound and the vehicle will not start when attempting to start with the key. To disable the alarm:

1. Turn the vehicle ignition to the ON position five (5) times, ending in ON

2. The LED will illuminate solid.

3. Cycle the ignition OFF; Wait 1 second; Cycle the ignition ON.

The alarm will silence and the vehicle will now start normally with the key.

Custom Code Override (Optional)

Unlike the Default Override, Custom Code Override is a user personalized code that offers a higher lever of security. If the user chooses to use Custom Code Override,

Feature Bank 2 ; Feature 9 must be programmed for “Custom Code”.

Custom Code Override Procedure

The default Custom Code is “1”. To disarm the alarm using the Custom Code option:

1. Turn the ignition to the ON position five (5) times, ending in ON.

2. Within five (5) seconds, the LED will illuminate solid.

3. Within five (5) seconds, turn the ignition OFF.

4. The LED will begin to flash.

5. Turn the ignition ON when the LED flashes the number of times equal to

your Custom Code. Note: The default code is 1, Cycle the ignition on after

the LED flashes one (1) time.

Anti Hi-Jacking

Anti Hi-jacking is a feature that will sound the alarm and activate the starter disable if the vehicle is stolen. This feature must be turned on in feature programming. Please contact your installation center for more information. Once activated in feature bank programming, this feature must be activated from the remote control.

To Activate: With the ignition ON, press and hold the DISARM button for two (2)

seconds.

The LED will begin to flash and the system will beep once every three (3) seconds.

Note: If this feature has been activated by mistake, press and hold DISARM during the

first fifteen (15) seconds after activation.

After fifteen (15) seconds, the system will begin to beep one (1) time every 1.5 seconds. After fifteen (15) seconds, the parking lights will begin to flash and the system will emit one (1) long beep every one (1) second. At this point the starter disable feature is also activated. If the vehicle’s engine is turned OFF, the siren and parking lights will stop. If the ignition is turned back on, the system will start to beep and flash the parking lights. The starter disable feature is also activated and the vehicle’s engine cannot be started without a manual alarm override.

To Deactivate: After the Hi-Jacking feature has been activated it can only

be overridden by using the manual override procedure. Please refer to page 4 for the

correct override procedure.

Replacing Remote Control Battery

2 Button Remote Control - Model PEPS2

The CR2032 battery inside each remote control should last approximately 1 year under normal use. When the battery becomes weak you will notice the remote control range

(the distance from the vehicle that the remote control will work) will deminish and the small LED on the remote control will dim. To replace the remote control battery:

1. Using a coin, separate the halves of the remote control.

2. Remove the old battery, observing the +/- symbols on the battery.

3. Replace with a new battery.

4. Reassemble the halves of the remote control.

5. Test operation of the remote control.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Applies to Prestige Series Control Modules, Sirens, Sensors, and Relays.

Voxx Electronics Corporation (the Company) warrants to the original purchaser of this product that should this product or any part thereof, (other than transmitters) under normal use and conditions, be proven defective in material or workmanship during the lifetime of the vehicle, in which it was originally installed from the date of original purchase such defect(s) will be repaired or replaced with new or reconditioned product, (at the

Company’s option) without charge for parts or repair labor. A transmitter is warranted for

12 months from the date of original purchase.

To obtain repair or replacement within the terms of this Warranty, the product is to be delivered with proof of warranty coverage (e.g. dated bill of sale), specification of defect(s), transportation prepaid, to an approved warranty station. This Warranty is not transferable.

This Warranty does not cover damage to the vehicle’s electrical system or costs incurred for removal or reinstallation of the product. This Warranty does not cover bat teries, broken LCD or OLED display screens, nor apply to any product or part thereof which, in the opinion of the Company, has suffered or been damaged through alteration, improper installation, mishandling, misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, or by removal or defacement of the factory serial number/bar code label(s).

This Warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties or liabilities. ANY IMPLIED WAR-

RANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, SHALL

BE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY. IN NO CASE

SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL

DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF THIS OR ANY OTHER WARRANTY. No person or representative is authorized to assume for the Company any liability other than expressed herein in connection with the sale of this product.

The company does not warrant that this product cannot be compromised or circum vented. THE EXTENT OF THE COMPANY’S LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY

IS LIMITED TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT PROVIDED ABOVE AND, IN NO

EVENT, SHALL THE COMPANY’S LIABILITY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID

BY PURCHASER FOR THE PRODUCT WITHOUT COST OF INSTALLATION.
