SeaTalk Remote Keypad Quick Reference Guide
Introduction
This Quick Reference Guide gives summary information on your SeaTalk
Remote Keypad. For comprehensive instructions, refer to the SeaTalk
Remote Keypad Owner’s Handbook.
Basic operation
The SeaTalk Remote Keypad enables you to remotely operate the following instruments on a SeaTalk system:
• Standard (110 mm x 110 mm) ST60 instruments.
• Standard and MaxiView ST80 instruments.
The Remote Keypad has:
• A group of six keys, used to control standard instruments.
• A group of four keys, used to control ST80 MaxiView instruments
The following illustration shows the functions assigned to each key or key sequence.

These four keys duplicate the functions of the respective keys on the selected standard instrument.

Remote indicators
When the or key is pressed, each individual instrument in the associated instrument group is selected in turn, on successive key presses. As each instrument is selected, it displays a remote indication, during which time you can control it from the Remote Keypad.

The manner in which the remote indication is displayed depends on the type of instrument:
• On ST80 instruments, the display changes to reverse video (white on black).
• On ST60 digital instruments, a REMOTE indicator is displayed.
• On ST60 analogue instruments, either one or both of the TRUE /MAG or TRUE/
APP indicators flash on and off.
After 8 seconds, the remote indicator is removed, and the ability to remotely control the instrument is suspended, until you again press a remote key to redisplay the remote indication.
