3. WARRANTY
3.1 WARRANTY
Draper tools have been carefully tested and inspected before shipment and are guaranteed to be free from defective materials and workmanship.
Should the tool develop a fault, please return the complete tool to your nearest distributor or contact

A proof of purchase must be provided with the tool.
If upon inspection it is found that the fault occurring is due to defective materials or workmanship, repairs will be carried out free of charge. This warranty period covering parts & labour is 12 months from the date of purchase except where tools are hired out when the warranty period is 90 days from the date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to any consumable parts, any type of battery or normal wear and tear, nor does it cover any damage caused by misuse, careless or unsafe handling, alterations, accidents, or repairs attempted or made by any personnel other than the authorised Draper warranty repair agent.
Note: If the tool is found not to be within the terms of warranty, repairs and carriage charges will be quoted and made accordingly.
This warranty applies in lieu of any other warranty expressed or implied and variations of its terms are not authorised.
Your Draper warranty is not effective unless you can produce upon request a dated receipt or invoice to verify your proof of purchase within the warranty period.
Please note that this warranty is an additional benefit and does not affect your statutory rights.

This product is not a toy and must be respected.
– Environmental conditions can have a detrimental effect on this product if neglected.

● If not cleaned and maintained correctly or regularly, the machine will not perform at its best.

5. HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION
5.1 GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read all safety warnings and instructions.
Failure to heed these markings may result in personal injury and/or property damage.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The warnings, precautions and instructions discussed in this manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
5.2 REDUCING RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR ELECTROCUTION
Do not disassemble. Do not attempt repairs or modifications.
Refer to qualified service agencies for all service and repairs.
Do not use this product in or area where it can fall or be pulled into water or other liquids.
Do not reach for this product if it has fallen into liquid.
Use this compressor with 12-volt DC systems only.
This product should never be left unattended during use.
5.3 PREVENTING INJURY
Never allow children to operate this compressor.
Close supervision is necessary when this compressor is being used near children.
This compressor will become HOT during and immediately after use.
Do not touch any part of this compressor with bare hands, other than the ON/OFF switch during and immediately after use.
Do not use this product near flames or explosive materials or where aerosol products are being used.
Do not operate this product where oxygen is being administered.
Do not pump anything other than atmospheric air.
Never use this product while sleepy or drowsy.
Do not use any tools or attachments without first determining maximum air pressure for that tool or attachment.
Never point any air nozzle or air sprayer toward another person or any part of the body.
This air compressor is equipped with an Automatic Reset Thermal Protector, and can automatically restart after the thermal protector resets. Always cut off power source when thermal protector becomes activated.
Wear safety glasses or goggles when operating this product.
Use only in well ventilated areas.
After usage, always release excess pressure from the coil hose by turning On/Off switch to the Off position, disconnect hose from compressor, with the tyre inflation gun still connected to the other end of the coil hose, pull trigger on the tyre inflation gun to release excess pressure.

5.4 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Always inflate tyres to manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures. Exercise extreme caution when driving with aired-down tyres. Reinflate tyres before high-speed roadway travel.
Never exceed 10 M.P.H. when driving with partially inflated tyres.
Never make sharp turns while driving with reduced tyre pressure.
Re-inflate tyres before high speed traveling onto roadways.
Use heat-resistant, minimum 200 (13.79 Bar) PSI-rated working pressure extension hose.
Do not use aftermarket hoses with less than 200 (13.79 Bar) PSI working pressure. Some aftermarket hoses may not be suitable for use with this air compressor due to heat and pressure typically generated by this type of air compressors.
Warning!
● Never touch the air compressor or fittings connected to the air compressor other than the
ON/OFF switch with bare hands during or immediately after use. The extension hose and
fittings connected extension hose will become HOT during and after use. If necessary,
wear heat resistant gloves to remove hose from the compressor quick connect coupler.

7. UNPACKING AND CHECKING
7.1 PACKAGING
Carefully remove the product from the packaging and examine it for any sign of damage that may have happened during shipping. Lay the contents out and check them against the parts shown below. If any part is damaged or missing please contact the Draper help line (the telephone number appears on the Title page) and do not attempt to use the tool.
The packaging material should be retained at least during the warranty period in case the tool needs to be returned for repair.
Warning!
● Some of the packaging materials used may be harmful to children. Do not leave any of these materials in the reach of children.
● If any of the packaging is to be thrown away, make sure they are disposed of correctly according to local regulations.

This air compressor comes with 1/4” PCL type quick connect coupler, two extension coil hoses and a tyre inflation gun. One end of the extension coil hose is equipped with a 1/4” PCL type quick connect coupler, the other end is equipped with a 1/4” PCL type quick connect stud. The tyre inflation gun comes with a 1/4” PCL type quick connect stud, pressure gauge, rubber hose, bleeder valve and tyre chuck.
Warning!
● Hoses are 7.6m working length. Using them beyond this measurement will cause additional stress particularly on the connections. DO NOT OVER-STRETCH THESE HOSES.

8. OPERATION AND USE
8.1 OPERATING PRECAUTIONS:
– Always operate the compressor AT OR BELOW THE MAXIMUM PRESSURE RATING of the compressor. Refer to Specifications section of this manual.
– Always OBSERVE THE MAXIMUM DUTY CYCLE of the air compressor. Refer to
Specifications section of this manual for details. Operations exceeding maximum pressure ratings and or duty cycle will result in damage to air compressor.
– Your air compressor is equipped with an AUTOMATIC THERMAL OVERLOAD PROTECTOR.
This feature is designed to protect the air compressor from over-heating and causing permanent damage to your air compressor. The thermal overload protector will automatically cut off power to air compressor should internal operating temperature of the air compressor rise above safe levels during excessive use.
– Should your compressor shut off suddenly after extended use, do not attempt to restart air compressor. Turn ON/OFF switch of air compressor to the OFF position. The automatic thermal overload protector will automatically reset when internal temperature of the air compressor drops below safe level. After allowing air compressor to cool off for about 30 minutes, you can safely resume use of the air compressor by turning on the air compressor.
– For your convenience, and to protect the air compressor from over-pressure operation that can cause permanent damage to the unit - this compressor is equipped with built-in pressure switch with a factory set cut-on pressure of 130 PSI (± 5%) [ 8.96 Bar] and a factory set cut-off pressure of 155 PSI (± 5%) [10.69 Bar]. During inflation of tyre pressures between 130 PSI
[8.96 Bar] to 155 PSI [10.69 Bar], if you stop inflation, the compressor may not restart. This is completely normal, since inline pressure is greater than cut-on pressure of the pressure switch and less than cut-off pressure of the pressure switch. To restart compressor, deflate tyre pressure to below 130 PSI [8.96 Bar], reconnect tyre chuck to tyre valve stem and resume tyre inflation.
– Please note that you may experience a slight delay of the compressor’s motor starting when the ON/OFF switch is turned on while compressor is pressurized (when there is pressure in the line that the compressor is connected to). This is a normal delayed reaction, not a Compressor
ON/OFF switch malfunction.
– It is strongly recommended that you keep the vehicle’s engine running while using the air compressor to prevent discharge of your vehicle’s battery.
– ONLY OPERATE THE AIR COMPRESSOR IN WELL VENTILATED AREAS.
IMPORTANT: Engine must be running while using this compressor.
Before attaching air compressor power clamps to your vehicle’s battery terminals, check to make sure that the ON/OFF switch of your compressor is in the
OFF position. Attach the Positive (+) battery clamp
(Red) to the Positive terminal of the battery and the
Negative (-) battery clamp (Black) to the Negative terminal of the battery. Always keep your vehicle’s engine running while operating compressor to avoid draining your vehicle’s battery.
– Caution! FIG.1
● Your Portable Air Compressor is Moisture and Dust Resistant, but NOT WATER OR DUST
PROOF. Never place compressor in soft sand while running the compressor. Vibration from the
compressor will cause the compressor to settle into soft sand, resulting in compressor
drawing in foreign particles. Never expose compressor to water while running the compressor.
Note: Images show Euro couplings: This compressor is fitted with PCL type couplings as per page 9.

8.2 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS –

Attach 1/4” quick connect stud of the extension coil hose to the coupler on your compressor and the other end to the stud on the tyre gun. The tyre gun can be used for both inflation and deflation. Please familiarise yourself with the following functions of this versatile air tool.
8.3 TYRE INFLATION – FIGS. 3 – 5
– Attach one end of the extension coil hose to the
compressor and the other end to the tyre gun.
– Attach the tyre gun chuck to the tyre valve stem
by pressing the lever on the side of the tyre gun
chuck.
– Turn compressor switch on and hold down the
trigger on the tyre gun to begin inflation.
– Inflate the tyre whilst monitoring the pressure on
the gauge. Inflate just past the desired pressure
and release the trigger.
– Use the push button bleed valve to release the
air to the desired pressure.
– Once finished turn power switch on compressor
to the off position.
Note: To release excess pressure from the system, turn off compressor and disconnect hose from compressor.
With the tyre inflation gun still connected to the other end of the coil hose, push the bleed valve button on the tyre inflation gun to release excess pressure.
– Caution!
● Avoid over inflation, never exceed recommended pressure on articles to be inflated.
Bursting can cause serious injury.
Note: Your air compressor is equipped with a pressure switch (cut on at 130 PSI [8.96 Bar]., cut off at 155 PSI [10.34 Bar]). This feature is designed to protect the air compressor from over-pressure causing permanent damage to your air compressor. The pressure switch automatically turns off the motor when the internal pressure of the air compressor reaches the factory set “cut-off” pressure of 155 PSI [10.34 Bar] and restarts when the internal pressure drops below 130 PSI
[8.96 Bar].

8. OPERATION AND USE
8.4 TYRE DEFLATION:
– With the Tyre gun attached to the tyre stem valve, press the bleeder valve button on the tyre
gun to decrease pressure.
– When desired pressure is reached, release the bleeder valve button.
8.5 INLET AIR FILTER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
– Check to make sure air filter element is properly installed in your Inlet Air Filter Assembly
– Remove the temporary protective red plug from compressor’s air inlet port.
– Install inlet air filter onto compressor’s air inlet port. (Thread tape Not Recommended).
– Hand tighten inlet air filter.
IMPORTANT: For optimal compressor performance, replace filter element periodically.
Clogged filter will drastically reduce compressor flow rate and performance.

9. MAINTENANCE
9.1 MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS
– Your air compressor is equipped with permanently lubricated, maintenance-free motor.
– Never try to lubricate the compressor.
– Regularly clean dust and dirt from compressor cooling fins and motor housing.
– All repairs should be performed by Draper Tools.

10. TROUBLESHOOTING
10.1 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Problems
Compressor will not run.
Thermal overload protector cuts out repeatedly.
Excessive knocking or rattling.
Compressor air flow lower than normal, or cannot pump to higher pressures.
Possible cause
– No power, or power switch in
OFF position.
– Blown fuse.
– Motor overheats.
– Lack of proper ventilation or ambient temperature is too high.
– Compressor valves failed.
– Worn bearing on eccentric or motor shaft.
– Cylinder or piston ring is worn.
– Worn piston ring or inlet valve.
Required action
– Make sure compressor switch is ON.
– Disconnect compressor from power source, replace fuse.
(Refer to Specifications section for correct fuse amperage).
– Let compressor cool off for about
30 minutes to allow thermal overload switch to reset.
– Move compressor to well ventilated area, or area with lower ambient temperature.
– Service or replace compressor.
– Service or replace compressor.
– Service or replace compressor.

11. DISPOSAL
11.1 DISPOSAL
– At the end of the machine’s working life, or when it can no longer be repaired, ensure that it is disposed of according to national regulations.
– Contact your local authority for details of collection schemes in your area.
In all circumstances:
● Do not dispose of power tools with domestic waste.
● Do not incinerate.
● Do not dispose of WEEE* as unsorted municipal waste.
