Clerk system:

ATTENTION: The Clerk with number # 16 is automated for Training.

At the Retail Backer-Version and Hospitality Version you can block the clerk with passcode

Prior to the operation entry the Clerk logs in via a Clerk-number. This system can be affected in the PRG mode (i.e. it can be entirely turned off). A change of Clerk (i.e. key) is not feasible before the completion of the appropriate operation. The system may be designed to eliminate (or to restrict) the system of keys and Cash Register shall require log-in code -

PASSWORD (not ID Code).

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

The Cash Register indicates on display a question for entering the PASSWORD. If the data (1 character) is entered, the display is changed. (For example, when entering two characters ….)

*

X X

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

After all PASSWORD characters have been entered, the Clerk will be permitted to work. If the Cash Register displays a character “0“, PASSWORD is not correct and entering can be repeated after pressing the key

[ &/($5 ].

Manager – System:

The Cash Register enables to program a secret entry “PASSWORD“ for manager allowing for an exclusive access to operations in Z and PRG key positions or only to the operations in PRG position (i.e.. Z – reports, programming).

PASSWORD consists of four characters and the entry system is identical with the entry of Clerks’ PASSWORD.

Manager system:

The system enables the assignment of two manager PASSCODES. This results in access being restricted for:

1. The functions with the key in position "Z” (reports with subsequent deletion)

2. The functions with the key in position "S/PRG" (programming)

A passcode is composed of four characters and the log in process is analogue to that described above. In addition, PRG

Mode can be used to restrict the following clerk access:

¾ Restriction of transactions in X mode

¾ Restriction of transactions in Z mode

¾ Restriction of "P / O" transactions

¾ Restriction of "REFUND" transactions

¾ Restriction of "VOID" transactions

¾ Restriction of "NO SALE" transactions

2. SYSTEM RESET, MACHINE INITIALISATION (prior to initial installation)

Warm start:

If the cash register becomes blocked (due to a paper jam, maloperation, etc.), proceed as follows:

This cash register start up should only be performed when the following key combinations prove unsuccessful:

Following key positions "REG", "X", "Z", "PRG".

1.

2.

[ &/($5 ]

[ &$6+ ]

3.

[ 16 ]

Procedure for a warm start:

¾ Turn the key to " OFF "

¾ Disconnect the cash register from the 220 V power supply, press and hold the BON

[ )((' ] key and, simultaneously, connect the cash register to the 220 V power supply.

¾ "0000000000" appears in the display.

¾ Release BON

[ IHHG ] key .

¾ Zeros appear in the display.

Then turn the key back to " REG ".

¾ The reset procedure is completed.

System reset:

All data which has been programmed, stored in the memory, etc. is deleted!!!! The status is displayed on the cash register display by the character sequence " CL ". Following this operation, the entire system is initialised, including

S Mode (refer to System Reset). The system reset is performed on changing the EPROM memory during the initial installation, if necessary, or activated when the cash register does not respond to a warm start.

Procedure for resetting the system:

¾ Turn the key to " OFF ".

¾ Disconnect the cash register from the 220 V power supply, press and hold the BON

[ )((' ] key and, simultaneously, connect the cash register to the 220 V power supply.

¾ "OOOOOOOOOOO" appears in the display.

¾ Release BON

[ )((' ] key .

¾ Turn the key from "OFF" to "PRG" or "S" .

¾ The character sequence "CL" appears in the display, the reset has been completed.

4. S–Mode, Service Mode

Programming in S Mode (Service Mode) relates to the machine establishment dump and programming the keyboard.

Programming the establishment dump (NN=01) always triggers a full memory initialization, i.e. it is deleted and partitioned dynamically.

INFO: If you show the Display message E16 , clear at first the memory-report area with 30 key [#NS] go at the display at the position REPORTS and press key [CASH]

Caution: The settings in the ECR, type AA, influence the basic functions of the cash register.

The function of the clerk:

0 (default): Different clerks in one receipt active, e.g. for hairdressers.

1: Overlapping clerk functions active, e. g for bakeries.

1: All operators must for section (for 06 statuses for #2) for have the status manager activate around this operator function . the rights know for every single operator restrictedly in the Setup under #17s waiterright be.

Comment: Surcharge / discount after subtotal, i.e. for the entire receipt, is calculated exactly, the total sum is rounded according to the settings and the surcharge / discount calculated after. In the case of tax rounding, the taxable amount is rounded, i.e. following initialization it is rounded down to the cent.

Comment: Certain keys cannot be reprogrammed for security reasons involving work with the cash register. It is not advisable to reprogram the "CASH" or "#NS" keys because they are used when programming the cash register. If one of the keys mentioned is reprogrammed to a different position, the programming option may no longer be available.

The status is entered as a 2-digit code (ST) and identifies the department status and receipt type (default = 00).

The department status defines whether it concerns a positive or negative department and a normal or single item department.

The department status is described by code S which can lie in the range 0 to 4 according to the adjacent table.

(13 free code / EAN) = it is a unique max. 13digit numerical code by which the Account Item number is defined. Calling is subsequently done under this number, when registering in the

REG-mode. When linking BCR (bar code reader), this code can be read and need not to be entered manually. The codes starting with 28,29, 21,27, 25,26 are of special nature. The Cash Register supports the following bar code formats: EAN-8,

EAN-13 (including weight), UPC-A, UPC-E. The EAN-13 code with prefix 28,29 is programmed into the Cash Register as a code: 28KKKKX000000, where KKKK= code of goods. It is obviously possible to combine bar codes with own codes (e.g.

1,2,67,897,3344, etc.) in the Cash Register.
