BEFORE FIRST USE - AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
LE INVITAMOS A LEER CUIDADOSAMENTE ESTE INSTRUCTIVO
ANTES DE USAR EL APARATO.
Remove toaster from packaging and remove any stickers and
packing material.
Sortez le grille-pain de son emballage et enlevez tous les
autocollants et le matériel d’emballage.
Saque el aparato de su empaque y retire todas las etiquetas
y otros materiales de empaque.
Clean the toaster with a damp cloth. Place it on a stable
surface. Never place under cabinets or near flammable items.
Nettoyez-le avec un linge humide. Installez-le sur une surface stable.
Ne l’installez jamais sous des étagères ni près d’objets inflammables.

Unwind the power cord completely. Never operate with cord
partially unrolled. Plug the toaster into the wall outlet.

Select maximum browning setting without inserting any bread.

Press lever for 3 sequential toasting sessions to remove
“new” smell.

TOASTING BREAD - GRILLAGE DU PAIN
TOSTADO DEL PAN
Helpful hints
Differences in moisture levels from one bread to another can result in varying toasting times and
browning levels. Below are some general recommendations:
• Slightly dry bread should be toasted on a lower setting.
• Very fresh bread or whole wheat bread should be toasted on a slightly darker setting.
• Breads with uneven surfaces, such as English muffins, may require a darker setting.
• When toasting items with fruit, such as raisin bread, remove any loose fruit before toasting (raisins
may fall into the appliance and create a fire hazard).
• When toasting bagels, slice the bagel into two equal halves before toasting and place the cut sides
facing “in”.
• If you are toasting one slice of bread, set the browning control to a lower setting.
Conseils pratiques
Les pains pouvant présenter des teneurs en humidité différentes, le temps de grillage et de brunissage
peut varier d’un pain à l’autre. Voici quelques recommandations d’ordre général :
• Un pain légèrement sec doit être grillé de préférence à un niveau de grillage inférieur.
• Un pain très frais ou un pain complet doit être grillé à un niveau plus intense. Dans le cas de pains
dont la surface est irrégulière, tels les muffins anglais, un niveau de grillage plus élevé est
recommandé.
• Si vous grillez du pain contenant des fruits comme des pains aux raisins ou des scones, enlevez les
fruits qui risquent de se détacher (les raisins qui tombent peuvent provoquer un incendie).
• Lorsque vous grillez des bagels, découpez-les en deux moitiés égales avant de les griller.
• Si vous grillez une seule tranche de pain, diminuez le niveau de grillage.

Los panes tienen diferentes grados de humedad, los tiempos de tostado pueden variar de un pan a
otro. He aquí algunas recomendaciones de orden general:
• Un pan ligeramente seco deberá tostarse preferentemente a un nivel de potencia inferior.
• Un pan muy fresco o un pan integral deberá tostarse de una manera ligeramente más intensa. En el
caso e panes que presenten superficies irregulares, como los muffins ingleses, se recomienda un
tostado más intenso.
• Si tuesta pan con pasas, retire las pasas que corren el riesgo de desprenderse porque pueden dañar el
aparato, provocando un cortocircuito.
• Cuando tueste bagels, córtelos en dos mitades iguales antes de ponerlos en el tostador.
• Si tuesta una sola rebanada de pan, puede disminuir el nivel de tostado.

Select browning level by pressing or buttons between
1 and 8. The select level will appear on the screen.

a short time if the toaster remains unused.

To remove smaller-sized breads after the toasting cycle.

Push lever up in the high position and remove toast.
Never insert anything into toaster especially when
plugged in.

Press the “Stop” button at any time to stop the toasting
cycle.

Do not try to force lever up.

DEFROST - DÉCONGÉLATION

To toast frozen breads, use the “defrost” setting.

Insert frozen bread.

Adjust the browning level with and buttons. Press the
“defrost” button. “Defrost” will appear on the screen.

1-8 as the toaster will automatically defrost the bread before

Un temps de grillage plus long que celui des positions 1 à 8
sera automatiquement sélectionné afin de décongeler votre

BAGEL
To toast the bagel on the inside and warm it on the outside, use the “bagel” button.
Pour griller un bagel à l’intérieur et le chauffer à l’extérieur, utilisez la touche « bagel ».
Para tostar el Bagel de la parte interior y calentar de la parte exterior, use el botón « bagel ».
Insert the bagel as shown, with the cut sides facing in.
Placez votre bagel coupé en deux, la mie orientée vers

The heating elements will turn on. Your bagel will toast on
the cut sides and will be warm on the outside. Once the
toasting cycle is engaged, bars representing the remaining
toasting time will appear on screen.

Les éléments commencent à chauffer. La mie du bagel est grillée
tandis que l’extérieur est chauffé. Une fois le cycle enclenché, le
décompte du temps de grillage apparaît à l’écran.

REHEAT
To reheat previously toasted breads without further toasting them, use the “reheat” button.
Pour réchauffer du pain déjà grillé sans le griller davantage, utilisez la fonction « reheat ».
Para calentar pan previamente tostado utilice la función « reheat ».
Press the “reheat” button. “Reheat” will appear on the screen.
(It is not necessary to select a browning level).
To reheat bagels, press the “reheat” and “bagel” buttons.
“Reheat” and “bagel” will appear on the screen.
Press the control lever down.
The toaster will come on for just a short time to heat up
bread or a bagel that has already been toasted. Once the
toasting cycle is engaged, bars representing the remaining
toasting time will appear on screen.
When the toaster stops, the selected function is cancelled.
Appuyez sur la touche « reheat » et le mot « reheat » apparaît
sur l’écran (il n’est pas nécessaire de sélectionner un niveau de
grillage).
Pour réchauffer les bagels, appuyez sur les boutons « reheat » et
« bagel ». Les mots « reheat » et « bagel » apparaissent à l'écran.
Abaissez le levier de commande. L’appareil fonctionne pendant
un court temps, pour réchauffer votre pain ou bagel déjà grillé.

Lorsque le grille-pain s’arrête, la fonction sélectionnée est
annulée.

CLEANING - NETTOYAGE
LIMPIEZA
Unplug the toaster from the wall outlet and allow the toaster
to cool completely, approximately 10 minutes.
Débranchez le grille-pain de la prise murale et laissez-le
refroidir complètement, environ 10 minutes.
Desconecte el tostador y deje enfriar 10 minutos.
Clean the toaster with a damp cloth.
Nettoyez l'extérieur avec un linge humide.

A removable crumb tray is provided for easy cleaning. Pull
out the tray completely and discard the crumbs.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

4. Not intended for use by children. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used near

ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION
The packaging of your product is made of recyclable materials. Do not throw it out with your usual garbage;
take advantage of your local recycling program.

• The toaster must always be used in the upright position (not on its side or tilted forward or back).
• Before each use, make sure that the crumb tray is in its proper location.
• Regularly remove crumbs from crumb tray.
• The control lever must be in the “Up” position before attaching or disconnecting the plug from wall outlet.
• If bread jams in the slots after toasting, the unit will automatically shut off. Disconnect the plug
immediately from the wall outlet and wait for the appliance to cool before attempting to remove the
bread.
• Disconnect the appliance if it shows any working abnormalities.

a. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
c. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the appliance, and
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be
pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

WARRANTY
Groupe SEB USA (T-Fal) warrants this product to be defect free in material and workmanship for a period of one year
from the date of purchase. This warranty extends to the original purchaser and any subsequent owner within the
warranty period. If a defect is found to exist,
T-fal will, at its option, either repair or replace the product or the defective component, including labor. Replacement
will be made with new or rebuilt product or components.
Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty service, so keep the register receipt. If a product or component is
returned without proof of purchase it will be reviewed based on the manufacturing production week and year to
determine if there is warranty coverage.
This warranty does not apply to any unit that has been tampered with, nor to damages incurred through improper use
and care, faulty packaging by you or mishandling by any common carrier.
T-fal’s sole obligation and your exclusive remedy under this warranty is limited to such repair or replacement.
THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE
DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
T-FAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above
limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other legal rights which vary from State to State.
To obtain warranty service:
1. Do not return the product to the retailer from which it was purchased.
2. Please contact our consumer service department (1-800-395-8325 M-Th 8:30am – 5pm & Fr 8:30am – 4pm
EST) for assistance and to ensure the fastest possible resolution to the problem. Please have the model or
type number of your product on hand. If it is determined that you should return your product or a
component of the product for warranty service, you will be given a return authorization number.
3. Send the product or component, postage-paid, together with proof of purchase, a description of the
problem, and the return authorization number you were given, to the closest authorized T-fal return facility
(see www.T-falusa.com or call 1-800-395-8325).
4. Be sure to include your name, address and home telephone number with your shipment. Another contact
number is suggested in case you need to be contacted.
5. We suggest that you carefully wrap your package for shipping and send by insured and/or traceable means.

LO QUE DEBE HACER
