When it comes to empty the collection bin individuals sensitive to dust and other household contaminants often choose the paper bag option for capturing dust and debris to reduce exposure to material collected. The VS80 power unit is designed to accommodate a paper bag if this option is preferred.
Even with the use of paper bags you retain the option of the plastic bin liner and secondary filtration from the inverted bag. The use of a paper bag has decided advantages if the installation is not vented to the outdoors. pic. 1

Once the preferred entry point is selected move the plug to the opposite side of the machine and push firmly into place. (See Picture # 2)
Release the dust collection bin from below your VS80 power unit by releasing the two latches on opposite side of the bin.
Setting up the VS80 power unit for paper bags requires the removal of the plastic cone below the inverted bag. ( Image # 3 ) It is not necessary nor recommended that the inverted bag be removed as it provides additional filtration and protects the motor from dust and other contaminants should a paper bag failure occur. ( Image # 4 ) Retaining the plastic cone permits you to revert to an inverted bag system in the future.
