Section Assembly 3 ASSEMBLY To prepare your pressure washer for operation, you will need to perform these tasks: 1. Fill out and send in registration card. 2. Attach handle to main unit. 3. Add oil to engine crankcase. IMPORTANT: Read entire owner’s manual before you attempt to assemble or operate your new pressure washer. Remove Pressure Washer from Carton • Remove the parts bag, accessories, and insert included with pressure washer. • Slice two corners at the end of carton from top to bottom so the panel can be folded down flat, then remove all packing material. 4. Add fuel to fuel tank. 5. Connect high pressure hose to spray gun and pump. 6. Connect water supply to pump. Attach Handle 1. • Roll pressure washer out of carton. Place handle assembly onto handle supports connected to main unit. Make sure holes in handle align with holes on handle supports (Figure 1). Figure 1 — Attach Handle to Base Carton Contents Handle Items in the carton include: • Main Unit • Goggles • Handle • High Pressure Hose • Spray Gun • Nozzle Extension • Oil Bottle • Parts Bag (which includes the following): • Owner’s Manual • Engine Manual • Owner’s Registration Card • Maintenance Kit • Handle Fastening Hardware Kit (which includes): • Carriage Bolts (2) • Plastic Knobs (2) • “L” Hooks (2) • Lock Nuts (2) Align Holes Handle Supports NOTE: It may be necessary to move the handle supports from side to side in order to align the handle so it will slide over the handle supports. 2. Insert carriage bolts through holes from outside of unit and attach a plastic knob from inside of unit (Figure 2). Tighten by hand. Figure 2 — Secure Handle PREPARING PRESSURE WASHER FOR USE 3. If you have any problems with the assembly of your pressure washer or if parts are missing or damaged, call the pressure washer helpline at 1-888-611-6708. If calling for assistance, please have the model, revision, and serial number from the model data decal available. 6 Insert one “L” hook through hole just under billboard on left side of handle (viewing from rear of unit). Hold hook in place with a pliers and attach locknut with a 7/16” wrench (Figure 3). Section Troubleshooting 7 TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Pump has following problems: failure to produce pressure, erratic pressure, chattering, loss of pressure, low water volume. Detergent fails to mix with spray. Engine runs good at noload but “bogs” when load is added. Engine shuts down during operation. Cause Correction 1. 1. Nozzle in low pressure mode. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Water inlet is blocked. Inadequate water supply. Inlet hose is kinked or leaking. Clogged inlet hose strainer. Water supply is over 100°F. High pressure hose is blocked or leaks. 8. Gun leaks. 9. Nozzle is obstructed. 10. Pump is faulty. 1. Detergent siphoning tube is not submerged. 2. Chemical filter is clogged or cracked. 3. 4. Dirty in-line filter. Nozzle is in high pressure mode. Engine speed is too slow. Out of gasoline. 16 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 1. Pull nozzle backward for high pressure mode. Clear inlet. Provide adequate water flow. Straighten inlet hose, patch leak. Check and clean inlet hose strainer. Provide cooler water supply. Clear blocks in outlet hose. Replace gun. Clean nozzle. Contact Authorized service facility. Insert detergent siphoning tube into detergent. 2. Clean or replace filter/detergent siphoning tube. 3. See “Check In-Line Filter”. 4. Push nozzle forward for low pressure mode. Move throttle control to FAST position. If engine still “bogs down”, contact Authorized service facility. Fill fuel tank.
