SAFETY CHECK-OUT

After correcting the original service problem, perform the following safety checks before releasing the set to the customer.

1. Check the area of your repair for unsoldered or poorly-soldered connections. Check the entire board surface for solder splashes and bridges.

2. Check the interboard wiring to ensure that no wires are “pinched” or contact high-wattage resistors.

3. Look for unauthorized replacement parts, particularly transistors, that were installed during a previous repair. Point them out to the customer and recommend their replacement.

4. Look for parts which, through functioning, show obvious signs of deterioration. Point them out to the customer and recommend their replacement.

5. Check the B+ voltage to see it is at the values specified.

6. Flexible Circuit Board Repairing

• Set the soldering iron tip temperature to 350 °C approximately.

• Do not touch the soldering iron on the same conductor of the circuit board (within 3 times).

• Be careful not to apply force on the conductor when soldering or unsoldering.

UNLEADED SOLDER

This unit uses unleaded solder.

Boards requiring use of unleaded solder are printed with the lead free mark (LF) indicating the solder contains no lead.

( Caution: Some printed circuit boards may not come printed with the lead free mark due to their particular size.)

: LEAD FREE MARK

Be careful to the following points to solder or unsolder.

• Set the soldering iron tip temperature to 350 °C approximately.

If cannot control temperature, solder/unsolder at high temperature for a short time.

Caution: The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel away if the heated tip is applied for too long, so be careful!

Unleaded solder is more viscous (sticky, less prone to flow) than ordinary solder so use caution not to let solder bridges occur such as on IC pins, etc.

• Be sure to control soldering iron tips used for unleaded solder and those for leaded solder so they are managed separately. Mixing unleaded solder and leaded solder will cause detachment phenomenon.

2.  指定部品のご使用を

  セットの部品は難燃性や耐電圧など安全上の特性を持った

ものとなっています。従って交換部品は，使用されていた

ものと同じ特性の部品を使用して下さい。特に回路図，部

品表に 0 印で指定されている安全上重要な部品は必ず指定

のものをご使用下さい。

3.  部品の取付けや配線の引きまわしはもとどおりに

 

 

安全上，チューブやテープなどの絶縁材料を使用したり，

プリント基板から浮かして取付けた部品があります。また

内部配線は引きまわしやクランパによって発熱部品や高圧

部品に接近しないよう配慮されていますので，これらは必

ずもとどおりにして下さい。

4.  サービス後は安全点検を

サービスのために取外したネジ，部品，配線がもとどおり

になっているか，またサービスした個所の周辺を劣化させ

てしまったところがないかなどを点検し，安全性が確保さ

 

 

 

 

れていることを確認して下さい。

5.  チップ部品交換時の注意

・ 取外した部品は再使用しないで下さい。

・ タンタルコンデンサのマイナス側は熱に弱いため交換時

 

は注意して下さい。

6.  フレキシブルプリント基板の取扱いについて

・ 半田こてのこて先温度は約350℃に設定してください。

・ 同一パターンに何度もコテ先を当てないで下さい。（3回

以内）

・ パターンに力が加わらないよう注意して下さい。

無鉛半田について

本機には無鉛半田が使用されています。

無鉛半田を使用している基板には，無鉛（Lead Free）を意味する

レッドフリーマークがプリントされています。

（注意： 基板サイズによっては，無鉛半田を使用していてもレッ

ドフリーマークがプリントされていないものがありま

す）

：レッドフリーマーク

無鉛半田は，下記の点に注意して使用してください。

・ 半田こてのこて先温度は約350℃に設定してください。

温度調節が無理な場合は，高温短時間で作業を行ってくだ

さい。

注意：   半田こてを長く当てすぎると，基板のパターン（銅

箔）がはがれてしまうことがありますので，注意して

ください。また，従来の半田よりも粘性が強いため，

IC端子などが半田ブリッジしないように注意してく

ださい。

・ 半田こてのこて先は，必ず無鉛半田用と有鉛半田用に分け

て管理してください。

無鉛半田と有鉛半田が混在すると剥離現象が発生してしま

います。

DESTINATION DATA

When you replace to the repairing board, the written destination data of repairing board also might be changed to original setting.

Start the Adjust Manual in the Adjust Station and execute the “DESTINATION DATA WRITE”.

RESTORE DATA

When you replace to the repairing board, get the data from the former one.

Start the Adjust Manual in the Adjust Station and perform “RESTORE DATA” to get the data.

The data getting for this model is as follows.

• USB SERIAL No.

• Angular Velocity Sensor Sensitivity adjustment

• AWB standard data input & check, Color reproduction check

• Strobe adjustment

Regarding the PMB Portable

PMB Portable has been written in internal memory.

SY-286 board for service is supplied with written the PMB Portable.

USB SERIAL No.

The set is shipped with a unique ID (USB Serial No.) written in it.

This ID has not been written in a new board for service, and therefore it must be entered after the board replacement.

Start the Adjust Manual in the Adjust Station and execute the “USB SERIAL No. INPUT”.

Angular Velocity Sensor

When you replace to the repairing board, write down the sensitivity displayed on the angular velocity sensor (SE401).

Start the Adjust Manual in the Adjust Station and execute the “Angular velocity sensor sensitivity adj”.

1-3. METHOD FOR COPYING OR ERASING THE DATA IN INTERNAL MEMORY

The data can be copied/erased by the operations on the HOME screen. (When erasing the data, execute formatting the internal memory.)

Note 1: When replacing the SY-286 board, erase the data in internal memory of the board before replacement.

Note 2: When replacing the SY-286 board, execute formatting and initialize the internal memory after replacement.

Method for Copying the Data in Internal Memory

Copy

Copies all images in the internal memory to a memory card.

1.

Insert a memory card with sufficient free capacity into the camera.

2.

MENU (Settings) (Memory Card Tool) [Copy] [OK]

Notes

Use a fully charged battery pack. If you attempt to copy image files using a battery pack with little remaining charge, the battery pack may run out, causing copying to fail or possibly corrupting the data.

Images cannot be copied individually.

The original images in the internal memory are retained even after copying. To delete the contents of the internal memory, remove the memory card after copying, then format the internal memory ([Format] in [Internal Memory Tool]).

The data will be copied to the recording folder that is currently being used, with a number one higher than the largest data number in that folder. [Details]

Method for Formatting the Internal Memory or “Memory Stick Duo” media

Format

Formats the memory card or the internal memory.

When you use a memory card with this camera for the first time, it is recommended to format the card using the camera for stable performance of the memory card before shooting. Note that formatting permanently erases all data on the memory card, and is unrecoverable. Save precious data on a computer, etc.

1-2. PRECAUTION ON REPLACING THE

LENS

When replacing the lens, read the QR code given on the data sheet of the replacement lens for service.

Start the Adjust Manual and read the QR code using a QR code reader.

The read data is used for adjustment after replacement.

Select “Lens data carry” on the ADJUST tab of the Adjust Manual, and click the LOAD button to load the file.

1-4. HOW TO WRITE DATA TO INTERNAL MEMORY

Usually, the camera has been set so as to disable the data writing from the PC to the internal memory of the camera.

This setting must be changed temporarily when the data is to be written to the internal memory such as a case after the board replacement.

To change settings is enabled with using the writing enabler tool (Write Enable Tool) on the Adjust Manual is activating from the Adjust Station.

Data writing method

1) Start the Adjust Manual from the Adjust Station.

2) Click (Write Enable Tool) button.

3) Click “Activate Write Enable Mode” button.

1-5. SELF-DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION

1-5-1. Self-diagnosis Function

When problems occur while the unit is operating, the self-diagnosis function starts working, and displays on the LCD screen what to do.

Details of the self-diagnosis functions are provided in the Instruction manual.

1-5-2. Self-diagnosis Display

When problems occur while the unit is operating, the LCD screen shows a 4-digit display consisting of an alphabet and numbers, which blinks at

3.2 Hz. This 5-character display indicates the “repaired by:”, “block” in which the problem occurred, and “detailed code” of the problem.

C : Corrected by customer

E : Corrected by service engineer

Indicates the appropriate step to be taken.

E.g.

13 ....Format the “memory card”.

32 ....Turn on power again.

4) Upon completion of the setting change, the following message will be displayed.

5) Return the driver to the original one, and connect the PC to the camera (USB mode: Mass Storage).

6) Write the data read out into the PC to the internal memory of the camera.

7) Disconnect the PC from the camera, and turn off the camera.

Note: By turning off the camera, the write enable setting is reset.

Self-diagnosis Code

When “FLASH error” (Self-diagnosis Code E : 91 : 01) occurs, to prevent any abnormal situation caused by high voltage, setting of the flash is changed automatically to disabling charge and flash setting.

After fixing, this setting needs to be deactivated. Flash error code can be on the HOME screen.

1-7. Reading QR Code

The lens data of this unit is read from the QR code.

The QR code can be read by using a USB web camera or from an image captured with a digital camera or similar.

Read the lens data in the following way.

Note 1 : Use a USB web camera provided with manual focus and macro shooting functions.

Note 2 : When using a USB web camera, do not use the standard Windows driver.

Install the dedicated driver for the USB web camera to be used.

When a USB web camera is used

1. Connect a USB web camera to the PC and install the dedicated driver to make the camera available.

2. Start the Adjust Manual.

3. Click the QR code reader button to activate the QR code reader.

4. Read the QR code with the USB web camera.

When replacing the lens: Read the QR code attached to the lens for service.

When replacing the board: The QR code need not be read.

5. Save the lens data with a file name.

When a digital camera is used

1. Shoot the QR code with a digital camera and save the data in the PC.

2. Start the Adjust Manual.

3. Click the QR code reader button to activate the QR code reader.

4. Click the LOAD button to open the saved image.

本機の内蔵メモリー内にはPMB Portableが書き込まれています。

補修用SY-286基板は，PMB Portableが書き込まれた状態で供給されます。

USBシリアルNo.

セットは，1台毎に異なる固有のID（USB Serial No.）を書き込んだ後，出荷されています。

新品の補修用基板には，このIDが書き込まれていないので，基板交換後にIDを入力する必要があります。

Adjust StationからAdjust Manualを起動させて「USB SERIAL No. INPUT」を実行させてください。

は、コピー後にメモリーカードを本体から取りはずし、［内蔵メモリーツール］の［フォーマット］を行ってく

ださい。

データをコピーすると、現在の指定している記録フォルダに一番最後のファイル番号でコピーされます。

通常は，PCからカメラの内蔵メモリへデータを書き込むことはできない設定になっています。

基板交換後などに，内蔵メモリへデータを書き戻す場合には，この設定を一時的に変更する必要があります。

設定の変更は，Adjust StationからAdjust Manualを起動させて書き込み許可ツール（Write Enable Tool）を使用します。

書き戻し方法 

1)  Adjust StationからAdjust Manualを起動する。

2)   （Write Enable Tool）ボタンをクリックする。

3)  “Activate Write Enable Mode”ボタンをクリックする。

本機の動作に不具合が生じたとき，自己診断機能が働き，LCD

画面に，どう処置したらよいか判断できる表示を行います。自

己診断機能については取扱説明書にも掲載されて

います。

1-5-2. 自己診断表示

本機の動作に不具合が生じたとき，LCD画面にアルファベッ

トと4桁の数字が表示され，3.2Hzで点滅します。この5文字の

表示によって対応者分類および不具合の生じたブロックの分

類，不具合の詳細コードを示します。

4) 設定の変更が終了すると，次のメッセージが表示されますので“OK”ボタンをクリックする。

5)  ドライバを元に戻して、カメラとPCをマスストレージ接続する。

6)  PCに読み出しておいたデータをカメラの内蔵メモリに書き込む。

7)  カメラとPCの接続を解除し，カメラの電源をOFFにする。

注意：  カメラの電源をOFFにすることにより，書き込み許可の設定が解除されます。

本機はフラッシュエラー（自己診断コードE：91：01）が発生した場合，高電圧による異常を防止するために自動的にフラッシュ充

電および発光禁止の設定になります。

フラッシュエラー発生後はエラーの解除を行う必要があります。エラーの解除はホーム画面から行います。

1-7.   QRコードの読取り方法について

本機ではレンズのデータをQRコードから読み取ります。

QRコードはUSB Webカメラを使用するか、デジタルカメラ等で撮影した画像から読み取ります。

下記の方法でデータを読み取ってください。

Note1 ：  マニュアルフォーカス、マクロ撮影が可能なUSB Webカメラを使用すること。

Note2 ：  USB Webカメラを使用する場合、Windows標準のドライバを使用しないこと。

    使用するUSB Webカメラの専用のドライバをインストールして使用すること。

USB Webカメラを使用する場合

1.  PCにUSB Webカメラを接続し、ドライバをインストールして使用可能状態にする。

2.  Adjust manualを起動する。

3.  QRコードリーダーのボタンをクリックしてQRコードリーダーを起動する。

 

 

4.  USB WebカメラでQRコードを読み取る。

レンズ交換時 ： 補修用レンズに貼り付けられたQRコードを読み取る

1-10-1. Confirm There is No Fault in Actual Motion/Actual Screen

Inspect it as follows when you exchange parts in the lens block.

Zoom motion (Check five postures: horizontal, upward/downward, upper/lower oblique 45º)

No abnormal sound or motion must be found over full stroke between TELE end and WIDE end.

No abnormality such as a skipped image or wavy image must be found in the image through LCD or finder over full stroke between

TELE end and WIDE end.

The barrier must be opened and closed fully, free from a sticking in the midway.

No abnormal sound must be heard during the operation.

Shoot setting

(1) Paste the chart.

• Chart should be on the flat wall.

• Illuminance level in the chart should be the same.

• Make the tripod’s height and the center of the chart to the same height.

• Enough space needed for shooting.

(2) Set the camera.

• Set [P] mode

• Set [Maximum] size

• Set ISO lowest level

• Set Steady Shot [OFF]

• Set Flash [OFF]

(3) Set the camera on a tripod.

(4) Adjust the position of the camera and the chart.

1. Set the zoom position of the camera at Wide end.

2. Attach the mirror onto the center of the chart.

* The mirror should not tilt on the chart.

3. Set the camera to display the chart on LCD like in the following picture.

4. Adjust the camera position to the center of the chart.

* Adjust the tripod height and the position (Lateral direction).

5. Adjust the camera angle to the frame of the chart with tripod.

Remove the mirror.

NOTE FOR REPAIR

• Make sure that the flat cable and flexible board are not cracked of bent at the terminal.

Do not insert the cable insufficiently nor crookedly.

• When remove a connector, don’t pull at wire of connector. It is possible that a wire is snapped.

• When installing a connector, don’t press down at wire of connector.

It is possible that a wire is snapped.

• Do not apply excessive load to the gilded flexible board.

Cut and remove the part of gilt which comes off at the point.

DISCHARGING OF THE CHARGING CAPACITOR (C901, C902)

– ENGLISH –

The charging capacitor is charged up to the maximum 315 V potential.

There is a danger of electric shock by this high voltage when the capacitor is handled by hand. The electric shock is caused by the charged voltage which is kept without discharging when the main power of the unit is simply turned off. Therefore, the remaining voltage must be discharged as described below.

Preparing the Short Jig

To preparing the short jig, a small clip is attached to each end of a resistor of 1 k Ω /1 W (1-215-869-11).

Wrap insulating tape fully around the leads of the resistor to prevent electrical shock.

断線する恐れがありますので，絶対に線材部（極細）を持って

引っ張らないでください。

•  線材部（極細）を押さえながらコネクタを差し込むと，線材部

（極細）が断線する恐れがありますので，絶対に線材部（極細）

には負担をかけないでください。

•  金メッキされているフレキシブル基板には，強い負担をかけ

ないでください。

ストロボ用充電コンデンサ（C901、C902）の放電

ストロボ用充電コンデンサは最大315  Vの電圧で充電さ

れています。

この高電圧で充電されたコンデンサに手を触れた場合，

電気ショックを受けます。この高電圧には単にセットの

電源を切っただけでは放電されず，残留しています。こ

のため，下記の方法で残留電圧を放電してください。

ショート治具の準備

ショート治具は1kΩ/1W抵抗  （1-215-869-11）

小型のクリップを接続して作成します。

抵抗器は絶縁テープで完全に覆い電気ショックを受けな

いようにしてください。

Precaution on ordering the CABINET BOTTOM

The model display adopts the laser printing method.

Therefore, the CABINET BOTTOM for replacement differs depending on the destination.

As similar displays are provided, choose the suitable one for order.

Note: After replacing the CABINET BOTTOM , the serial number for it will be changed to the one exclusive for service use.

Inform a customer of the serial number change and change the serial number in the repair data.
