Installation instructions for kit number 365201
SYNOPSIS / PROBLEM:
This kit contains the parts needed to install a detergent metering kit on the model 8200/8210 sweeper/scrubber.
Please follow step-by-step instructions.
SPECIAL TOOLS / CONSIDERATIONS: None
(Estimated time to complete: 3 hours)
PREPARATION:
(Refer to FIG. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5))
1. Raise hopper.
2. Engage prop arm.
3. Shut off machine.
FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing machine, stop on level surface and set parking brake. Then turn off machine and remove key.
4. Open engine cover, and left side engine door.
5. Disconnect battery cables from machine.
WARNING: Always disconnect battery cables from machine before working on electrical components.
6. Remove floor plate in operator’s compartment.
INSTALLATION:
(Refer to FIG. 1, 2 and 3)
1. Attach detergent pump(17) to detergent pump bracket(20) with pan screws(23), flat washers(24), and nyloc nuts(25).
(Refer to FIG. 2)
2. Mount detergent pump bracket(20) to machine with hex screws(21) and flat washers(22).
(Refer to FIG. 2)
3. Mount detergent tank bracket(5) to machine loosely with two hex screws(6) and flat washers(31) installed horizontally . (Refer to FIG. 1)

4. Place cap gasket(3) in drain cap(2) and secure in place with retaining ring(26).
(Refer to FIG. 1)
5. Attach drain cap(2) to detergent tank(1) with cap retainer strap.(4) Screw drain cap(2) onto detergent tank(1).
(Refer to FIG. 1)
6. Connect detergent pump screen(11) to vinyl hose(9) with straight barbed fitting(10).
(Refer to FIG. 1)
7. Insert opposite end of vinyl hose(9) into tapered end of grommet(8). Place 90 ° barbed fitting(12) in top of grommet(8). Lower assembly into detergent tank(1).
(Refer to FIG. 1)
8. Align detergent tank(1) with detergent tank bracket(5), keeping the detergent tank(1) as close to the hopper lintel as possible. Tighten the horizontal bolts(6) holding the bracket(5) to the machine frame in this position.
9. Attach detergent tank(1) to detergent tank bracket(5) using two hex screws(6) and flat washers(31)installed vertically.

10. Secure detergent tank(1) with tank hold down bracket(7).
(Refer to FIG. 1)
11. Connect one end of vinyl hose(18) to 90 ° barbed fitting(12) on top of detergent tank(1) using worm drive clamp(14). Route hose to area of detergent pump(17).
(Refer to FIG. 1)
Note: Keep all hoses clear of hot/moving parts.
12. Connect opposite end of vinyl hose(18) to detergent pump(17) using worm drive clamp(15).
(Refer to FIG. 2)
13. Screw 90 ° plastic fitting(19) into tee fitting(29).
(Refer to FIG.2)
14. Remove existing hose connecting solution block to scrubber head fitting, but keep worm drive clamps used to connect existing hose. Clamps will be used to connect new hoses.
15. Attach one end of vinyl hose(30) to solution control block. Connect the opposite end of vinyl hose(30) to tee fitting(29) with worm drive clamp(27).

16. Connect vinyl hose(13) to output fitting on detergent pump(17) using worm drive clamp(15). Clamp opposite end of vinyl hose(13) to 90 ° plastic fitting(19) using worm drive clamp(15).

17. Connect open end of tee fitting(29) to scrub head hose using 4.5”vinyl hose(28) and worm drive clamps(27).
(Refer to FIG. 2)
18. Connect wire harness as shown in electrical schematic and pictorials. Wire connector is tied up with main harness in area of detergent pump.
(Refer to FIG. 3,4 and 5)
19. Reinstall floor plate in operator’s compartment.
20. Connect battery cables to machine.
21. Close left side engine door, and engine cover.
22. Start machine.
23. Disengage prop arm.
24. Lower hopper.
25. Operate scrubbing system to check detergent pump for proper operation.
