Installation Instructions for Kit number 360958
SYNOPSIS / PROBLEM:
This kit contains the parts needed to install a 36V Headlight Kit on the model 6400 sweeper.
Please follow step-by-step instructions.
SPECIAL TOOLS / CONSIDERATIONS: None.

INSTALLATION OF HEADLIGHTS:
(Refer to FIG. 1)
FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing machine, stop on level surface and set parking brake. Then turn off machine and remove key.
1. Raise hopper cover and engage prop rod.
2. Open seat support and disconnect battery cables from battery.
WARNING: Always disconnect battery cables from machine before working on electrical components.

3. Remove hopper dust filter.
4. Remove and discard headlight cover plates (retain hardware).
5. Install headlight protector plates (3) and (4) with hardware (5) provided.
( Refer to FIG. 1)
6. Place headlight seals (3) onto headlights (1).
( Refer to FIG. 1)
7. Connect headlights to plugs located inside the headlight openings.
8. Install headlights with hardware saved in step 4.
9. Reinstall hopper dust filter and close hopper cover.

INSTALLATION OF CIRCUIT BREAKER AND SWITCH INTO INSTRUMENT PANEL:
( Refer to FIG. 2)
FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing machine, stop on level surface and set parking brake. Then turn off machine and remove key.
1. Raise hopper and engage prop rod.
2. Open seat support and disconnect battery cables from battery.
WARNING: Always disconnect battery cables from machine before working on electrical components.
3. Remove rubber firewall on operator side of machine.
4. Remove circuit breaker plug.
( Refer to FIG. 2)
5. Install circuit breaker (12) into instrument panel.
( Refer to FIG. 2)
6. Secure circuit breaker (12) from behind with steel lock ring, then cover with boot (13).

7. Plug circuit breaker (12) into the circuit breaker wire harness.
( Refer to FIG. 2)
8. Remove switch plug. ( Refer to FIG. 2)
9. Snap switch (6) into instrument panel, then install boot included with switch.
10. Plug switch (6) into the switch wire harness.
11. Install the resistor (7) and plug into harness wires 76/GRY and 74B/YEL. ( Refer to FIG. 2 & 4)
12. Re--install the rubber firewall and reconnect battery cables to battery.
13. Close the seat support and lower hopper.

INSTALLATION OF TAIL LIGHTS:
( Refer to FIG. 3)
FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing machine, stop on level surface and set parking brake. Then turn off machine and remove key.
1. Open seat support.
2. Disconnect battery cables from battery.
WARNING: Always disconnect battery cables from machine before working on electrical components.
3. Locate the wire harness inside each tail light opening.
( Refer to FIG. 3)

4. Cut the wire ties that bind each wire harness.
( Refer to FIG. 3)
5. Connect the plugs to tail lights and install them with hardware provided in tail light assembly (8).
( Refer to FIG. 3)
6. Reconnect battery cables to battery.
7. Close seat support.
8. Turn on light switches and check head and tail lights for proper operation.
