Safety
Guidelines and instructions with which you must comply, are summarized in this section.
Personnel who install, operate and maintain these implements, must have read and understood this operating manual.
Intended use
The front power system must only be mounted on type John Deere 1026 R tractors. The front power system is used for accommodating small to medium-sized implements, such as snow blades, sweepers, etc. and should only be connected and operated with such implements. Please note that you must avoid overloading the front axle, even in heavyduty implementation (e.g. snow removal). The permissible axle load is specified in the appropriate documentation provided by the tractor manufacturer.
The front PTO shaft extends the mid-mount PTO shaft of the tractor to the front. It is used to power sweepers, or similar implements that are driven with PTO shafts.
Attention!
The front power system should not be charged with downward pressure via
switched to the float setting! Strictly comply with the manufacturer's recommendation!
The front power system is not suitable for lifting people or for use as a work
In addition, compliance with the service and maintenance guidelines is a component of intended use. Moreover intended use includes exclusive use of original spare parts and supplemental equipment, or use of such parts and equipment that meet the technical requirements specified by the manufacturer .
All other uses are excluded.
Non-intended use causes:
Health hazards for the operator or for third parties
Damage to the tractor and the implements
Immediate invalidation of the guarantee
Environmental damage
To avoid accidents and to reduce the risk of accidents, the relevant accident prevention regulations and the other generally acknowledged occupational health and safety and road traffic regulations apply without limitation.
Changes to the front power system and/or the associated accessories invalidate the guarantee and exclude any liability on the part of the manufacturer for damage due to the changes.

Installation
3 Installation
Switch off the tractor and remove the ignition key.
Enter the vehicle chassis number of the front power system in section 6 of this operating manual.
3.1 Installation of the front power system
Start the installation by fitting the two-piece attachment bracket on the front on the tractor frame. The attachment bracket is fastened on the tractor frame on the front and side with the bolts included in the scope of delivery.
Attachment bracket
Fig. 1: Attachment bracket
The actual front power system is only hooked into the provided aperture on the attachment bracket with the cross-member of the front power system and locked with the two angle bolts (left/right) on the lugs. The arrest nuts on the lugs can be omitted for faster dismounting (e.g. frontloader). However this can result in higher noise levels.
Connect the hydraulic lines of the front power system to the hydraulic lines available on the tractor side (lift, lower). Use cable ties to fix the hydraulic hoses in place along the length of the tractor frame.

1. Insert the universal joint shaft through the protective tube and press the locking pin
(locking ring) on the outer fork. Keep the locking pin depressed.
2. Slide the outer fork onto the profile stub of the mid-mount PTO shaft of the tractor and release the locking pin (locking ring).
3. Slightly move the universal joint shaft back and forth until the locking pin audibly locks in place.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to attach the universal joint shaft on the front drive shaft tube.
5. Fix the front protective tube on the front protective tube holder with screws and with the rubber strap on the rear.
3.4 Mounting the rear hydraulic extension kit
Mount the holder with the connection plugs on the front of the front power system (tapped bores are present) and lay out the hydraulic hoses along the tractor frame and connect them to the connections available on the tractor side.
