The SmartLink SX contains a non-removable Lithium-ion battery. You can charge the device using the original Phonak charging unit. Connect the charging unit to the power jack marked DC 7.5V on the SmartLink. The battery symbol in the SmartLink display flashes during charging. The battery will be about 80% charged within an hour and fully charged in about 2 hours.

The SmartLink SX has Bluetooth capabilities. To use the device with your mobile phone, you first need to pair them. Refer to your mobile phone instructions for pairing instructions. Once paired, you can answer calls, reject calls, and make calls. The device automatically switches hearing instruments to the “FM + hearing instrument microphone active“ program to relay the ringing tone.

The “A ” in the display means that the SmartLink is relaying an audio signal from an external microphone or an external source like a television.

Press the + and F keys together. The channel indicator in the display starts flashing. Press + to move up a channel, or press – to move down a channel. The SmartLink automatically synchronizes multi-channel FM receivers to the new frequency.
