Frequently asked questions

The W316R has two working modes: Wireless Access Point (AP) and Network Bridge (WDS).

You can use the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setting) function, which makes it quick and easy to establish a secure connection between the wireless clients and the router. You can also manually select an encryption method and set a key.

The W316R allows you to limit the communication traffic of LAN computers when accessing the Internet through its bandwidth control function.

You can use the WDS (Wireless Distribution System) function to expand the wireless coverage area by connecting to another router. The WDS feature requires both routers to support this function and the SSID, channel, encryption method and password are the same as those of the connecting router.

The W316R provides two kinds of fast access methods: ADSL dial-up and DHCP. You will need to enter the access account and access password for ADSL dial-up, or just the wireless password for DHCP.

To access the router's web-based utility, launch a web browser and enter http://192.168.0.1. You will then be prompted to enter the password, which is 'admin' by default.
