Riva RS17081-BOV-SSQV Instructions
Riva RS17081-BOV-SSQV is a blow-off valve kit designed for 255/215hp Sea-Doo models using RIVA Power Cooler Kits. Enhancing performance, it provides controlled pressure release, reducing turbo lag and improving throttle response. Installation requires moderate mechanical skills and specialized tools such as snap ring pliers, star socket and hex bit sets, and a service manual. Detailed instructions guide you through the process of removing the ECU mounting plate, drilling a hole into a protrusion, installing the blow-off valve, and reassembling the components.

Locate the protrusion exposed when ECU mounting plate is rotated to left.
Drill into this protrusion.
Install supplied o-ring into o-ring groove in billet mounting flange.
Place supplied snap-ring over flange on blow-off valve.
Using the supplied 3/32” drill bit carefully and slowly drill straight into the end of the protrusion. NOTE: The material you are drilling into is made of thin plastic.
Do not push or force drill bit. Drill slowly.
Inspect newly created hole for rough edges or protruding plastic. Clean any rough edges or filings left from the drilling procedure.
Install longer section of supplied vacuum line onto fitting and secure using a supplied zip tie. Route vacuum line along wiring harness under ECU towards throttle body.
NOTE: Do not over tighten zip tie.
Replace ECU mounting plate, ECU and reconnect wiring harness connectors. NOTE: Carefully install
ECU connectors so as not to bend connecting pins.
Use blue Loc-tite on threads of bolts securing ECU
mounting plate and ECU. Do not over tighten bolts.
Install supplied billet mounting flange onto aluminum tube between supercharger outlet and intercooler inlet.
Secure using supplied hardware and gasket. NOTE:
Apply blue Loc-tite to bolts. Do not over tighten
bolts.
