Frequently asked questions

To adjust the shift cable, you will need to locate the adjustment point at the engine-to-transmission mount bracket. The shift cable should be adjusted at the rear adjustment point located near the transmission. If adjustment is needed beyond that, remove the dash panel to access the shift cable adjustment point located underneath the shift lever.

To remove the transmission, you will need to first drain the transmission lubricant. Then, disconnect the brake switch harness, remove the drive belt, drive clutch and driven clutch, and remove the rear drive shaft. Finally, remove the (3) fasteners retaining the parking brake mount bracket and remove the parking brake caliper assembly.

The differential lock engages the engagement dog to the side gear that is part of the planetary differential assembly, increasing traction and locking the rear differential as a solid rear axle. This is beneficial in low traction and rough terrain conditions.

The service limit for the silent chain is 3.090” (7.849 cm) in length for 8 pitches.

The recommended transmission lubricant is Polaris AGL Plus (PN 2878068). The capacity is 33.8 oz. (1000 ml).
