1. Introduction

The KSR1 is a voice-controlled robot car that uses a microphone as a detector. The car changes directions when the sensor detects noise or when the car hits an object. The KSR1 requires 2 x AA-battery of 1.5 V (not included).

5. Assembly

Start the assembly by mounting the resistors. The names of all resistors are printed on the PCB. Consult the table below:

Note that the protruding edge should be pointed towards the metal case. The yellow wire is the positive (+) pole of the motor, the green wire is the negative pole (-).

6. Operation

Put the switch in the “ON”-position. Place the device on the floor and verify whether it moves smoothly. The

KSR1 should back up to the left when you clap your hands. The KSR1 will subsequently move forward in a straight line again. Adjust “VR” with a screwdriver to change the microphone’s sensitivity. Turn the screwdriver to the right for increased sensitivity and vice versa.

7. Troubleshooting

Make sure all components on the PCB are in the right position. Pay particular attention to the polarity of the microphone, the transistors and capacitors.

Check the wiring.

Adjust the nylon nut (n° 17) on the front wheel if the car keeps veering to the left.

The noise from the gearbox may prevent the microphone from receiving the signal. Grease face gear

36T/14T (white) and the metal shaft (n° 3) to reduce the noise.

Do not grease metal shaft (n° 4) and gears 36T/0T (white) and 36T/14T (red).

1. Inleiding

Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. Deze stemgestuurde robotwagen gebruikt een microfoon als detector. De wagen verandert van richting wanneer de sensor lawaai detecteert of wanneer de wagen een voorwerp raakt. De KSR1 werkt op 2 AAbatterijen van 1.5 V (niet inbegrepen).

5.1 Montage van de printplaat

6. Gebruik

Stel de schakelaar in de “ON”-stand. Plaats de KSR1 op de grond en ga na of het toestel vlot beweegt. De KSR1 moet achteruit en naar links rijden wanneer u in uw handen klapt. Vervolgens rijdt de KSR1 opnieuw rechtdoor.

Pas de gevoeligheid van de microfoon aan met een schroevendraaier (“VR”-regeling). Draai naar rechts om de gevoeligheid te verhogen en omgekeerd.

7. Problemen en oplossingen

Ga na of alle componenten op de printplaat op de juiste plaats zitten. Besteed de nodige aandacht aan de polariteit van de microfoon, de transistors en de condensatoren.

Controleer de bedrading.

Wijzig de positie van de nylon moer (nr. 17) van het voorwiel indien het toestel altijd naar links afwijkt.

Het lawaai van de tandwielkast kan de microfoon hinderen bij de detectie van het signaal. Smeer het tandwiel 36T/14T (wit) en de metalen as (nr. 3) om het lawaai te verminderen.

Volgende onderdelen mag u NIET smeren: metalen as (nr. 4) en tandwielen 36T/0T (wit) en 36T/14T

(rood).

Cette voiture à commande vocale utilise un microphone en tant que détecteur. La voiture change de direction quand le détecteur capte un bruit ou quand la voiture touche un objet. La KSR1 est alimentée par 2 piles LR6 de 1.5 V (non incl.).

6. Emploi

Placez la glissière dans la position « ON ». Posez la KSR1 par terre et vérifiez si l’appareil bouge comme il faut.

La KSR1 doit reculer vers la gauche lorsque vous battez des mains. Ensuite, la KSR1 roulera tout droit et en avant. Ajustez la sensibilité du microphone avec un tournevis (réglage « VR »). Tournez à droite pour augmenter la sensibilité et vice versa.

7. Problèmes et solutions

Vérifiez si chaque composant du CI est à sa propre place. Prêtez une attention spéciale à la polarité du microphone, des transistors et des condensateurs.

Contrôlez le câblage.

Modifiez la position de l’écrou en nylon (n° 17) de la roue avant si l’appareil tourne constamment à gauche.

Le bruit de la boîte d’engrenages peut empêcher la détection du signal par le microphone. Graissez pignon

36T/14T (blanc) et l’axe métallique (n° 3) pour diminuer le bruit.

Ne graissez pas les pièces suivantes : l’axe métallique (n° 4) et les pignons 36T/0T (blanc) et 36T/14T

(rouge).

1. Introducción

Este coche activado por voz usa un micrófono como detector. El coche cambia de dirección si el detector detecta un ruido o si el aparato se choca contra un objeto. El KSR1 funciona con 2 pilas AA de 1.5 V (no incluidas).

6. Funcionamiento

Coloque el conmutador deslizante en la posición “ON”. Ponga el KSR1 en el suelo y verifique si el aparato mueve correctamente. Dando palmadas el KSR1 debería dar marcha atrás hacia la izquierda. Después, el KSR1 continuará todo recto. Ajuste la sensibilidad del micrófono mediante un destornillador (reglaje “VR”). Gire a la derecha para aumentar la sensibilidad y viceversa.

7. Solución de problemas

Verifique si cada componente del CI se encuentra en la buena posición. Atención a la polaridad del micrófono, los transistores y los condensadores.

Compruebe el cableado.

Modifique la posición de la tuerca de nylon (n° 17) de la rueda delantera si el aparato gira continuamente a la izquierda.

El ruido de la caja de engranajes puede impedir la detección de la señal por el micrófono. Engrase el piñón

36T/14T (blanco) y el eje metálico (n° 3) para disminuir el ruido.

No engrase las siguientes piezas: el eje metálico (n° 4) y los piñones 36T/0T (blanco) y 36T/14T (rojo).

Dieses Sprachgesteuertes Roboterauto verwendet ein Mikrophon als Detektor. Der Wagen ändert die Richtung wenn der Sensor Lärm erfasst oder wenn der Wagen einen Gegenstand berührt. Der Bausatz funktioniert mit 2

6. Bedienung

Stellen Sie den Schalter auf “ON”. Stellen Sie das KSR1 auf den Boden und überprüfen Sie ob das Gerät geschmeidig bewegt. Das KSR1 muss rückwärts und nach links fahren wenn Sie in die Hände klatschen. Danach fährt das KSR1 wieder geradeaus. Passen Sie die Empfindlichkeit des Mikrophons mit einem Schraubendreher

(“VR”-Regelung) an. Drehen Sie nach rechts um die Empfindlichkeit zu erhöhen und umgekehrt.

7. Fehlersuche

Kontrollieren Sie ob alle Komponenten richtig auf dem PCB montiert wurden. Beachten Sie die Polarität des

Mikrophons, der Transistoren und der Kondensatoren.

Kontrollieren Sie die Verdrahtung.

Ändern Sie die Position des Nylonmuters (n° 17) vom Vorderrad wenn das Gerät immer nach links abweicht.

Der Lärm des Getriebes kann das Mikrophon bei der Signalerfassung hindern. Schmieren Sie Zahnrad

36T/14T (weiß) und die Metallachse (n° 3) um den Lärm zu verringern.

Nachfolgende Teile dürfen Sie NICHT schmieren: Metallachse (n° 4) und Zahnräder 36T/0T (weiß) und

36T/14T (rot).

KSR1 to sterowany głosem robot-samochód, wykorzystujący mikrofon w charakterze detektora. Samochód zmienia kierunki, gdy czujnik wykrywa szum lub samochód uderzy w przeszkodę. KSR1 wymaga 2 baterii AA

1,5 V (brak w zestawie).

5.1 Montaż płytki drukowanej

Montaż rozpocząć od zamocowania rezystorów. Nazwy wszystkich rezystorów znajdują się na płytce drukowanej. Należy zapoznać się z poniższa tabelą:

Należy pamiętać, że wystająca krawędź powinna być skierowana w stronę metalowej obudowy. Przewód żółty to biegun dodatni (+) silnika, a przewód zielony to biegun ujemny (-).

6. Obsługa

Ustawić przełącznik w pozycji "ON". Umieścić urządzenie na podłodze i sprawdzić, czy porusza się bez przeszkód. KSR1 po klaśnięciu powinien wycofać się w lewą stronę. Następnie KSR1 ponownie zacznie poruszać się w linii prostej do przodu. Wyregulować “VR” śrubokrętem, aby zmienić czułość mikrofonu. Obrócić śrubokręt w prawo, aby zwiększyć czułość, a w lewo, aby zmniejszyć.

7. Wykrywanie i usuwanie usterek

Sprawdzić, czy wszystkie elementy na płytce drukowanej są we właściwym miejscu. Zwrócić szczególną uwagę ma biegunowość mikrofonu, tranzystorów i kondensatorów.

Sprawdzić połączenia przewodów.

Jeśli samochód ściąga w lewą stronę, należy wyregulować nakrętkę nylonową (nr 17) na przednim kole.

Hałas z przekładni może zakłócać odbiór sygnału przez mikrofon. Nasmarować koło zębate płaskie 36T/14T

(białe) i wałek metalowy (nr 3), aby zredukować hałas.

Nie pokrywać smarem wałka metalowego (nr 4) i kół zębatych 36T/0T (białe) i 36T/14T (czerwone).

O KSR1 é um carro-robot, controlado por voz, que usa um microfone como detector. O carro muda de direção sempre que o sensor detecta algum ruído ou quando bate contra um objeto. O KSR1 necessita de 2 pilhas AA de 1.5 V (não incluídas).

Tenha em conta que a borda saliente deve ficar apontada na direção da caixa metálica. O fio amarelo é o pólo positivo (+) do motor, o fio verde é o pólo negativo (-).

6. Utilização

Coloque o interruptor na posição "ON". Coloque o aparelho no chão e verifique se este se move com suavidade.

O KSR1 deve virar-se para a esquerda quando bate palmas. Em seguida o KSR1 avançará em linha reta novamente. Ajusto o "VR" com a ajuda de uma chave de fendas para alterar a sensibilidade do microfone. Rode a chave de fendas para a direita para aumentar a sensibilidade e vice-versa.

7. Resolução de problemas

Verifique se todos os componentes da PCI estão no devido lugar. Preste particular atenção à polaridade do microfone, aos transistores e aos condensadores.

Verifique a ligação dos fios.

Ajuste a porca de nylon (n° 17) na roda dianteira se o carro continuar a virar para o lado esquerdo.

O ruído da caixa de velocidades pode impedir o microfone de receber o sinal. Lubrifique a engrenagem 36T

/ 14T (branco) e o eixo metálico (n° 3) para reduzir o ruído.

Não lubrifique o eixo metálico (n° 4) e as engrenagens 36T/0T (branco) e 36T/14T (vermelho).

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products

(for EU):

• All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.

• Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.

You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

• Not covered by warranty:

- all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;

- consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts... (unlimited list);

- flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc.…;

- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;

- damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article

(the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);

- damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;

- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.

• Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

• Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair.

Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.

• Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.

• The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.

Algemene waarborgvoorwaarden consumentengoederen

• Op alle consumentengoederen geldt een garantieperiode van 24 maanden op productie- en materiaalfouten en dit vanaf de oorspronkelijke aankoopdatum.

• Indien de klacht gegrond is en een gratis reparatie of vervanging van een artikel onmogelijk is of indien de kosten hiervoor buiten verhouding zijn, kan

Velleman® beslissen het desbetreffende artikel te vervangen door een gelijkwaardig artikel of de aankoopsom van het artikel gedeeltelijk of volledig terug te betalen. In dat geval krijgt u een vervangend product of terugbetaling ter waarde van 100% van de aankoopsom bij ontdekking van een gebrek tot één jaar na aankoop en levering, of een vervangend product tegen 50% van de kostprijs of terugbetaling van 50 % bij ontdekking na één jaar tot 2 jaar.

• Valt niet onder waarborg:

- alle rechtstreekse of onrechtstreekse schade na de levering veroorzaakt aan het toestel (bv. door oxidatie, schokken, val, stof, vuil, vocht...), en door het toestel, alsook zijn inhoud (bv. verlies van data), vergoeding voor eventuele winstderving.

- verbruiksgoederen, onderdelen of hulpstukken die onderhevig zijn aan veroudering door normaal gebruik zoals bv. batterijen (zowel oplaadbare als niet-oplaadbare, ingebouwd of vervangbaar), lampen, rubberen onderdelen, aandrijfriemen... (onbeperkte lijst).

- defecten ten gevolge van brand, waterschade, bliksem, ongevallen, natuurrampen, enz.

- defecten veroorzaakt door opzet, nalatigheid of door een onoordeelkundige behandeling, slecht onderhoud of abnormaal gebruik of gebruik van het toestel strijdig met de voorschriften van de fabrikant.

- schade ten gevolge van een commercieel, professioneel of collectief gebruik van het apparaat (bij professioneel gebruik wordt de garantieperiode herleid tot

6 maand).

- schade veroorzaakt door onvoldoende bescherming bij transport van het apparaat.

- alle schade door wijzigingen, reparaties of modificaties uitgevoerd door derden zonder toestemming van Velleman®.

• Toestellen dienen ter reparatie aangeboden te worden bij uw Velleman®verdeler. Het toestel dient vergezeld te zijn van het oorspronkelijke aankoopbewijs. Zorg voor een degelijke verpakking (bij voorkeur de originele verpakking) en voeg een duidelijke foutomschrijving bij.

• Tip: alvorens het toestel voor reparatie aan te bieden, kijk nog eens na of er geen voor de hand liggende reden is waarom het toestel niet naar behoren werkt

(zie handleiding). Op deze wijze kunt u kosten en tijd besparen. Denk eraan dat er ook voor niet-defecte toestellen een kost voor controle aangerekend kan worden.

• Bij reparaties buiten de waarborgperiode zullen transportkosten aangerekend worden.

• Elke commerciële garantie laat deze rechten onverminderd.

Bovenstaande opsomming kan eventueel aangepast worden naargelang de aard van het product (zie handleiding van het betreffende product).
