2 - how to open your pushchair
To open the pushchair, first release the two catches (a) on each side of the pushchair which holds it in the umbrella position. Now holding the pushchair by the handles, gently lower the front.
To complete the operation: press hard on the rubber pegs (b), until you hear the ‘click’ of the secondary locking bar (c).
WARNING: Ensure that all locking devices are engaged before use.
3 - using the hood
To fit the hood, clip the brackets (a) over the handle tubes as shown. Reverse the above procedure to remove the hood. To use the hood push the two side levers on the side of the hood down.
To fold the hood back, lift the two side levers (b) up and push the hood back.
4 - fitting the raincover
With the hood fully opened, place the split, shorter section of the raincover over the hood so that it hangs at the rear of the pushchair. The middle handle fits through the hole in the cover (a).
At the front wrap the straps around the chassis and fasten the press studs (b). At the back secure using the velcro ® tabs in the bottom corners (c).
5 - using the harness
A five point harness is provided to restrain your child. To fasten the harness push clips into buckle. To unfasten push clips in and remove from buckle.
Sliding adjusters are fitted on the waist strap and should be carefully adjusted so the harness fits your child comfortably. To adjust to the smallest size you will need to thread the adjusters through the “D” ring.
‘D’ rings are fitted at the end of each waist strap should you wish to attach a separate harness complying to BS EN 13210.
The length of each strap can be changed by using adjusters (a), (b) & (c).
WARNING: Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist belt.
6 - fitting the footmuff
To fit the footmuff unfasten the harness and pass the harness straps through the slots in the back.
Attach the velcro® straps at the top of the footmuff to the back of the seat. Slide the chest pads onto the shoulder straps.
To remove the footmuff reverse the above procedure.
7 - using the brake
To apply the brake, press either of the brake levers firmly with your toe (a). Test the brake is engaged by trying to run the pushchair forward for a short distance. To release the brake, raise either of the levers (b).
NOTE: Always apply brake before loading or unloading of the children from the pushchair.
8 - using the backrest
The backrest can be adjusted in four different positions. To lower the backrest, simply lift the two levers at right and left and the backrest will drop down automatically. To raise, push the backrest upwards from the centre to the required angle: it will lock into place automatically.
9 - using the swivel wheels
To allow the wheels to swivel, push down on the locking lever as shown (a). To lock the wheels into position lift the locking lever up (b) with the wheels in any position and run the pushchair until you hear each wheel ‘click’ as they lock in position.
10 - removing your baskets
Should you wish to remove your baskets for cleaning, on each basket undo the 4 straps, 2 either side of each pushchair. To re-fit the baskets, simply reverse the above process. Maximum load 3kg
(6lb) for each basket.
11 - how to fold your pushchair
It is recommended that you remove the hood set before folding. If this is not possible, please ensure that both the hoods are folded back. With the seat units in the upright position, lift both the rubber pegs (a) as high as you can.
Push down on the secondary release lever (b) and push forward on the handles until the autocatches engage over the wheel bars on the side to lock into position. Check the autocatches are securely engaged before lifting the pushchair.
care
Your pushchair has been designed to meet safety standards and with correct use and maintenence will give many years of trouble free performance.
The chassis is strong but will weaken should the back wheel be bumped down stairs or kerbs.
Continual impact will cause damage.
If your child wears hard shoes these might damage the soft fabric.
Storing a damp pushchair will encourage mildew to form.
After exposure to damp conditions, dry off with a soft cloth, open fully and allow to dry thoroughly before storing.
Store your pushchair in a dry, safe place.
Do not leave the pushchair in sunlight for prolonged periods - some fabrics may fade.
maintenence
This pushchair requires regular maintenance by the user.
Cosatto products are designed to operate with minimum maintenance, however regular lubrication of moving parts will extend the life of your pushchair and make opening and folding easier.
Should parts of your pushchair become stiff or difficult to operate, apply a light application of a spray lubricant e.g. silicone. Do not use oil or grease.
Regularly inspect the locking devices, brakes, wheels, harness assembly, catches, seat adjusters, joints and fixtures to ensure they are secure and in full working order. These should be free to move at all times.
Brakes and wheels are subject to wear and should be replaced if necessary.
Your pushchair should be serviced and reconditioned before using it for a second baby, or within
18 months, whichever is the sooner.
cleaning
The hood may be cleaned by sponging lightly using warm water and a mild detergent.
Plastic and metal parts may be sponged clean with warm water and a mild detergent.
Never clean with abrasive, ammonia based, bleach based or spirit type cleaners.
Please follow the wash care instructions stated on the wash care label located on the soft goods.
