Die TERRATEC AUREON 5.1 USB ist zur Soundwiedergabe über die beiliegende Soft-
ware an Ihrem PC oder Notebook etc. bestimmt. Eine andere oder darüber hinaus-
gehende Benutzung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Bitte verwenden Sie das
Produkt nur bestimmungsgemäß und beachten Sie die in der Bedienungsanleitung
beschriebene Vorgehensweise. Ansprüche wegen Schäden aus nicht bestimmungs-
gemäßer Verwendung sind ausgeschlossen.

Installation
Schalten Sie Ihren Computer ein und warten Sie bis Ihr System vollständig
geladen ist. Schließen Sie dann die AUREON 5.1 USB an einen freien USB Port
Ihres Rechners an. Das System stellt automatisch den internen Systemtreiber
zur Verfügung und meldet sich nach erfolgreicher Aktivierung. Fertig, die
Soundkarte kann nun verwendet werden.

Das Sound Ein- und Ausgabe können bequem direkt an der Soundkarte
deaktiviert und wieder aktiviert werden. Dies geschieht über die Schalter (6)
Mikrofon und (7) Kopfhörer.

Die LED unter dem Schalter informiert Sie über den aktuellen Status. Ist das
Mikrofon aktiviert leuchtet die entsprechende LED rot, ist es stumm geschaltet
erlischt die LED. Das Stummschalten des Headsets wird auf der rechten Seite
mit der entsprechenden blauen LED angezeigt.
Problembehebungen
1. Istes notwendig die Soundkarte nach dem Anschluss an den Computer zu
aktivieren?
A. In der Regel ist es nicht notwendig die AUREON 5.1 USB manuell zu
aktivieren. Sollten jedoch noch weitere Soundgeräte vorhanden sein muss
sie eventuell erst als bevorzugtes Wiedergabegerät in der Systemsteuerung
(Windows) oder der Audio-Midi-Konfiguration (Mac OS) ausgewählt werden.
2. Die Soundkarte ist angeschlossen aber ich höre nichts.
A. Überprüfen Sie die Anschlüsse von Kopfhörer und Headset an der
Soundkarte und gehen Sie sicher, dass alles korrekt angeschlossen ist.
B. Betätigen Sie den Schalter zur Stummschaltung der Kopfhörer (7) um sicher
zu gehen, dass der Ausgang nicht deaktiviert ist.
C. Drehen Sie den Lautstärkeregler im Uhrzeigersinn um die Lautstärke zu
erhöhen.
D. Stellen Sie in Ihren Systemeinstellungen sicher, dass die AUREON 5.1 USB
als Standard Audio Gerät ausgewählt ist.

3. Während eines Audio- oder Videocalls kann mein Gesprächspartner mich
nicht hören.
A. Überprüfen Sie den Anschluss des Mikrofons an der Soundkarte und gehen
Sie sicher, dass alles korrekt angeschlossen ist.
B. Betátigen Sie den Schalter zur Stummschaltung des Mikrofons (6) um
sicher zu gehen, dass der Ausgang nicht deaktiviert ist.
C. Stellen Sie in Ihren Systemeinstellungen sicher, dass die AUREON 5.1 USB
als Standard Audio Gerät zur Soundeingabe ausgewählt ist.

Getting started
Turn on your computer and wait for your system to fully load. Then connect the
AUREON 5.1 USB to a free USB port on your computer. The system automatically
provides the internal system driver and reports after successful activation.
Done, the sound card can now be used.

Muting microphone and headphone
The sound input and output can be conveniently deactivated and reactivated
directly on the sound card. This is done using the switches (6) microphone and
(7) headphones.
The LED under the switch informs you about the current status.
If the microphone is activated, the corresponding LED lights up red, if it is
muted, the LED goes out. Muting the headset is indicated on the right-hand
side with the corresponding blue LED.

Common problems
1. Isit necessary to activate the sound card after connecting it to the
computer?
A. Usually it is not necessary to activate the AUREON 5.1 USB manually.
However, if there are other sound devices available, it may first have to be
selected as the preferred audio device in the control panel (Windows) or the
audio-midi configuration (Mac OS).

The sound card is connected but | can‘t hear anything.
A. Check the headphones and headset connections to the sound card and
make sure everything is connected correctly.
B. Press the switch to mute the headphones (7) to make sure that the output
is not deactivated.
C. Turn the volume control clockwise to increase the volume.
D. Make sure in your system settings that the AUREON 5.1 USB is selected as
the standard audio device.
3. The person you are speaking to cannot hear you during an audio or video
call.
A. Check the connection of the microphone to the sound card and make sure
everything is connected correctly.
B. Press the switch to mute the microphone (6) to make sure that the output
is not deactivated.
C. Make sure in your system settings that the AUREON 5.1 USB is selected as
the standard audio device for sound input.
