3.1 How to Replace the Bottom Cover

Disassembly

(1) Remove the four M3L8 self-tapping screws holding the bottom cover and the rubber feet.

(2) Detach the bottom cover and the rubber feet.

(1) To attach the bottom cover, perform the above “Disassembly” procedure in reverse.

3.2 How to Replace the Left Side Cover

Disassembly

(1) Detach the bottom cover (see Section 3.1).

(2) Pull out the feed knob from the left side of the unit, and then detach the feed knob.

(1) Detach the left side cover (see Section 3.2).

(2) Pull out the top cover from the right side cover to detach the top cover.

3.4 How to Replace the Right Side Cover

Disassembly

(1) Detach the bottom cover (see Section 3.1).

(2) Remove the three M3L8 self-tapping screws holding the right side cover.

Note: Hold the right side cover after you have removed the screws; there is a cable inside the cover.

(3) Disconnect the standby switch cable which is connected to the standby switch board, and then detach the right side cover.

3.5 How to Replace the Main Board

Disassembly

(1) Detach the bottom cover (see Section 3.1).

(2) Detach the right side cover (see Section 3.4).

(3) Remove the three M3L6 self-tapping screws holding the main board and the shield sheet.

(5) Disconnect all the cables from the main board.

(1) Detach the bottom cover (see Section 3.1).

3.8 How to Replace the Feed Roller

Disassembly

(1) Detach the bottom cover (see Section 3.1).

(2) Detach the left side cover (see Section 3.2).

(3) Detach the top cover (see Section 3.3).

(4) Detach the right side cover (see Section 3.4).

(5) Detach the pressure shaft assembly (see Section 3.7).

(6) Remove the M3L8 binding head screw holding the X drive gear to the feed roller.

(7) Lift up the left side of the pressure bracket, and then pull out the feed roller to the left side.

(8) Detach the E-ring from the feed roller.

(9) Detach the bearing and the collar from the feed roller.

(6) Remove the two M2.6L6 binding head screws holding the Y motor, and then detach the Y motor.

(2) Make sure that there is a little play between the Y-motor gear and Y-drive gear when installing the Y motor.

Disassembly

(1) Detach the bottom cover (see Section 3.1).

(5) Disconnect the X motor cable which is connected to the main board.

(2) Make sure that there is a little play between the X-motor gear and X-drive gear when installing the X motor.

Disassembly

(1) Detach the bottom cover (see Section 3.1).

(2) Detach the left side cover (see Section 3.2).

3.15 How to Replace the Auto-Registration Mark Sensor Board

Disassembly

(1) Detach the bottom cover (see Section 3.1).

(2) Detach the left side cover (see Section 3.2).

(3) Detach the top cover (see Section 3.3).

(4) Detach the right side cover (see Section 3.4).

(5) Detach the Y guide rail (see Section 3.6).

(6) Detach the solenoid (see Section 3.14).

(7) Remove the M2.6 self-tapping screw holding the carriage board, and then disconnect the auto-registration mark sensor flexible cable from the carriage board.

(8) Release the hook holding the auto-registration mark sensor board, and then detach the auto-registration mark sensor board from the carriage.

(2) Perform the electrical adjustments described in Chapter 5 after you have replaced the auto-registration mark sensor board.

(1) Detach the bottom cover (see Section 3.1).

(11) Remove the M3L10 binding head screw holding the left pressure bracket and shaft spacer.

(13) Lift up the slider shaft from the left side, and then detach the slider shaft from the main unit.

4 ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS

4.1 Using the Adjustment Software

This adjustment software is used for the pen force adjustment, the auto-registration mark sensor adjustment and the distance adjustment.

To adjust the CC200-20 you need to have the following files. In addition, you need to use a computer and a USB cable.

There are two kinds of adjustment software, one for the A4 paper size model and one for the letter paper size model

(US model).

• A4SetEnglishV1.57.exe : CC200-20 A4 paper size model adjustment software file

(This adjustment software adjusts the CC200-20 to A4-size model specifications.)

• LetterSetEnglishV1.57.exe : CC200-20 letter paper size model adjustment software file (USA model)

(This adjustment software adjusts the CC200-20 to letter-size model specifications.)

• GITKUSBP.dll : CC200-20 software dll file

How to use the adjustment software

(1) Copy one of the above adjustment software files and the dll file to the same directory in the PC.

(2) Connect the computer and the CC200-20 via the USB interface.

(3) Connect the power cable to turn on the power.

(4) Turn on the standby switch of the CC200-20.

(5) Execute A4SetEnglish.exe or LetterSetEnglish.exe.

(6) The following menu is displayed.

Displays the firmware version.

Displays the adjustment software type.

Used for the pen force adjustment.

Used for the auto-registration mark sensor white level adjustment.

Used for the auto-registration mark sensor position adjustment.

Used for the distance adjustment.

How to use the Move buttons: Click a button to start movement, and click again to stop.

Return to the factory presets.

Close this software and store the settings to the Nov-RAM.

Close this software.

(This does not store the settings.)

Note 1: Do not turn off the standby switch while adjusting the CC200-20. If you do so, the CC200-20 will not receive any commands from the adjustment software. If you turn off the standby switch while adjusting the

CC200-20, perform the following procedure.

(1) Click the Cancel button to exit the adjustment software.

(2) Connect the power cable to the CC200-20.

(3) Turn on the standby switch of the CC200-20.

(4) Execute the adjustment software again.

Note 2: The adjustment software software will not start if the standby switch is off or the power is off. The adjustment software displays the menu shown below at this time.

4.2 Adjusting the Pen Force

This adjustment will set the pen force using the adjustment software.

If you replace the main board, use the following procedure to input the recorded adjustment values.

If you replace the solenoid and/or the pen block assembly, you must adjust the pen force using the following procedure.

How to adjust the pen force

(1) Mount a 0.9 mm diameter blade holder (PHP32-CB09N without the blade) in the clamp bracket.

There is a few gap when the blade holder is installed completely.

Be careful it’s a little hard to install.

(2) Connect the computer and the CC200-20 via the USB interface.

(3) Connect the power cable to turn on the power.

(4) Turn on the standby switch of the CC200-20.

(5) Put the cutting sheet on the carrier sheet.

(6) Load the carrier sheet to the CC200-20.

Move the carrier sheet to be center position using the feed knob.

(7) Execute the adjustment software.

(8) Set the value of Force 1 to the 110 using the UP or DOWN button.

The Force 1 is fixed value. Just set to the 110.

(9) Click the Force 1 down/up button to apply the input value.

(10) Click the Force 1 down/up button again to raise the blade holder.

(11) Click the Force 3 down/up button to lower the blade holder.

(12) Use the 300 g force gauge to measure the actual force.

Hang the string to inside of the lock lever.

4 ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS

Measure the force at about

100 mm height.

About 100 mm

To get the correct force, gently lift the blade holder up by hand, lower the blade holder, and then measure the actual force after you click the Force button.

Do not lower the blade holder more than 5 sec for one times, otherwise the force will be reduced.

(13) If the measured value is not within the specification range (170 g to 190 g), change the value at the right side of the Force 3 down/up button so that it is 170 g to 190 g for the actual force.

(14) Click the Force 3 down/up button again to apply the input value.

If you input a value that is too large, the following message is displayed.

(15) Use the 300 g force gauge to measure the changed force to confirm it.

(16) Click the Force 3 down/up button again to raise the blade holder.

(17) Click the Set button to close the adjustment software and store all the settings to the Nov-RAM.

4.3 Adjusting the Auto-Registration Mark Sensor White Level

How to adjust the auto-registration mark sensor white level

(1) Connect the computer and the CC200-20 via the USB interface.

(2) Connect the power cable to turn on the power.

(3) Load an A4 (Letter) size sheet of paper in the CC200-20. The paper color must be white, and it is recommended that high-quality paper made for ink-jet printers be used.

(4) Turn on the standby switch of the CC200-20.

(5) Execute the adjustment software.

(6) Use the Pen Position buttons to move the auto-registration mark sensor position to a white area on the paper.

Make sure that there are no dirty areas or any printed areas directly under the sensor.

(7) Click the Adjust button to adjust the white level of the sensor.

(8) The following menu will appear when the white level adjustment is complete.

(9) Confirm the value shown in the above menu.

If the value is 0 or 255 there is a problem with the sensor or the circuit.

(10) Click the OK button to close the white level adjustment display.

(11) Click the Set button to close the adjustment software and store all the settings to the Nov-RAM.

4.4 Adjusting the Offset of the Auto-Registration Mark Sensor

How to adjust the Offset of the Auto-Registration Mark Sensor

(1) Connect the computer and the CC200-20 via the USB interface.

(2) Connect the power cable to turn on the power.

(3) Load an A4 (Letter) size sheet of paper with a backing sheet in the CC200-20. The paper must have a printed target cross mark.The cross mark specifications are 30 mm line length, and 0.3 to 0.5 mm line width.

(4) Mount the blade holder with the cutter blade and the yellow blade adjustment cap in the clamp bracket.

(5) Turn on the standby switch of the CC200-20.

(6) Execute the adjustment software.

(7) Use the Pen Position buttons to move the blade holder to the printed cross mark area.

(8) Click the Scan button to scan the printed cross mark. The CC200-20 then cuts a cross mark based on the reading of the printed cross mark.

(9) Confirm the offset between the printed cross mark and the cut cross mark.

You do not need to make any adjustments if the cut lines are on top of the printed cross mark.

4.5 Adjusting the Distance Accuracy

How to adjust the Distance Accuracy

(1) Connect the computer and the CC200-20 via the USB interface.

(2) Connect the power cable to turn on the power.

(3) Load an A4 (Letter) size sheet of paper with a backing sheet in the CC200-20.

(4) Mount the blade holder with the cutter blade and the yellow blade adjustment cap in the clamp bracket.

(5) Turn on the standby switch of the CC200-20.

(6) Execute the adjustment software.

(7) Click the Plot button to cut the test pattern.

X=200 mm

Y=150 mm

(8) Measure the X-axis and Y-axis distances.

(9) Input the values to the input boxes shown below.

The formula of the input value is as follows:

Input value for X-axis = (200mm - measured distance) x 10

For example:

If you measured 200.2 mm for the X-axis, then input -2 for the adjustment value.

(10) Click the Set button to close the adjustment software and store all the settings to the Nov-RAM.
