PERRIN PSP-SUS-115 Front Endlinks Instructions
Perrin PSP-SUS-115 Front End Link Kit w/Urethane Bushings for FR-S / BRZ is a direct replacement for the OEM Subaru links which are designed for use with stock struts or direct replacement, aftermarket struts. Some coilover suspension kits change the height and orientation of the endlink mounting tabs. This can pushing the Subaru and/or Perrin endlinks to the wrong location, causing the sway bar, endlinks and control arms to make contact. The kit includes all necessary hardware, including washers and bolts.

Installation of this product should only be performed by persons experienced with installation of aftermarket performance parts and proper operation of high performance vehicles. If vehicle needs to be raised off the ground for installation, the installer must use proper jacks, jack-stands and/or a professional vehicle hoist for safety of the installer and to protect property. SUSPENSION INSTALLATION NOTE
Installation of this product is a modification to the vehicle suspension. As a result, the vehicle may handle differently than that of factory-equipped vehicles. As with any vehicle extreme care must be used to prevent loss of control or roll-over during sharp turns or abrupt maneuvers. Always wear seat belts, and drive safely, recognizing that reduced speeds and specialized driving techniques may be required. Failure to drive this vehicle safely may result in serious injury or death. Do not drive this vehicle unless you are familiar with its unique handling characteristics and are confident of your ability to maintain control under all driving conditions. Some modifications (and combinations of modifications) are not recommended and may not be permitted in your state or country. Consult your owner’s manual, service manual, instructions acco mpanying this product, and local laws before undertaking these modifications. You are responsible for the legality and safety of the vehicle you modify using these components.
SPECIAL NOTES:

PERRIN endlinks are a direct replacement for the OEM Subaru links which are designed for use with stock struts or direct replacement, aftermarket struts. Some coilover suspension kits change the height and orientation of the endlink mounting tabs. This can pushing the Subaru and/or PERRIN endlinks to the wrong location, causing the sway bar, endlinks and control arms to make contact. Please compare your coilover endlink mounts to the stock suspension before installation.

Use included SS washers to adjust for different thicknesses of endlink mounting flanges. When in doubt, use (2) washers on each upper endlink connection. See diagram below for further info.

” bolts grade 8 hex bolts

(4) 3/8” grade 8 split washer

) 3/8” grade 8 washers

(4) 3/8-24 grade 8 nuts
Front End Link Install
1.
Raise vehicle onto jack stands or hoist.
2.
Locate left front endlink and remove 17mm nut securing endlink to swaybar (lower endlink connection). If center bolt spins and nut will not loosen, use
5mm allen key in center of bolt to hold while loosening nut.
3.
Remove 17mm nut securing endlink to body of strut (upper endlink connection). If center bolt spins and nut will not loosen, use 5mm allen key in center of bolt to hold while loosening nut.

Follow same steps as above to remove right side endlink.

Use below pictures of left side of vehicle for illustration. Install end links to strut connection. Do left and right sides before proceeding to next step. a.
Install supplied 3/8” washer onto head of bolt. b.
Apply a small amount of grease to both sides of endlink bushing that will touch washer and spacers in following steps. c.
Place bolt through endlink, and install supplied spacer as shown below. NOTE: Make sure that flat surface is facing endlink bushing. d.
Install (2) large SS washers over small end of spacer (as shown below) and insert endlink with hardware through endlink mounting tab on strut. NOTE: The included SS washers are used to adjust for changes to thickness of endlink mounting tab. When installing on OEM struts, two washers will be needed. When installing on other aftermarket struts, you may be able to remove 1 or 2 washers. Make sure the small end of the spacer does NOT protrude past inside of endlink mounting tab, or endlink will not be properly tightened down. e.
With bolt installed through endlink mounting tab, install washer, lock-washer, and nut to bolt (See diagram below for reference). Hand tighten hardware at this time.

Using below pictures of left side of vehicle for illustration, install end links to swaybar. Do left and right sides at the same time before tightening down any hardware. a.
Install supplied 3/8” washer onto head of bolt.
b.
Apply a small amount of grease to both sides of endlink bushing that will touch washer and spacers in following steps. c.
Place bolt through endlink, and install supplied spacer as shown below. NOTE: Make sure that flat surface is facing endlink bushing. d.
Install endlink with hardware through hole in swaybar.
e.
With bolt installed through hole in swaybar, install washer, lock-washer, and nut to bolt (See diagram below for reference). Hand tighten hardware at this time.
7.
Tighten all nuts and bolts to 35-40ft-lbs starting with upper connections on both sides then moving to lower swaybar connections.
8.
Lower car from jack stands and take car for test drive.
9.
If endlinks making any kind of noise, check for hardware being tight. If all hardware is tight, ensure you have used the proper amount of washers on the endlink mounting tab on the strut.
10.
Over time, endlink bushings may need to be re-greased. Only use supplied Energy Suspension Grease to lubricate both the internal sleeve in bushing and face of bushing that touches the washers. Failure to use this grease can damage bushings over time. If additional grease is needed, give our Tech department a call and we can get you taken care of.
