Hayward Aqua Trol AQ-TROL-RJ Owner's Manual

Hayward Aqua Trol AQ-TROL-HP is an automatic chlorine generator system designed for above-ground pools up to 18,000 gallons. It sanitizes pool water by converting salt into chlorine, eliminating the need for harsh chemicals. The built-in filter pump timer ensures proper daily filtration and sanitization. Installation options include 2” rigid PVC piping or 1½ - 1¼” flexible hose, and the electrical connection can be made via a 120V/15A "straight blade" linecord/receptacle or a 120V/20A "twist lock" linecord/receptacle.

The Aqua Trol is an automatic chlorine generation system that uses salt to sanitize swimming pools.

The ideal salt level is between 2700-3400 ppm (parts per million) with 3200 ppm being optimal.

Only sodium chloride (NaCl) that is 99% pure should be used. This is common food quality or water softener salt.

Turn on the filter pump and add the salt directly into the pool. Brush the salt to speed up the dissolving process.

The only way to lower the salt concentration is to partially drain the pool and refill with fresh water.

The ideal stabilizer level is 80 ppm.

Rotate the clock hands in a clockwise direction to set the current time. Pull the trippers out to set the desired run time.

There is a switch on the timer that allows the pump to be manually turned on or off.
