SINGLE OUTPUT
HARNESS
INSTALLATION GUIDE
1 Determine the best mounting location for the LED light assembly(ies), ensuring it does not interfere or block any existing vehicle systems. Mount LED assembly (ies).
2 Determine mounting location of the wiring harness relay. There is a metal mounting tab attached to the wiring harness relay. Secure the relay closest to the vehicle battery using an existing vehicle mounting bolt or stud, or with a self-tapping screw. Be sure to mount the relay with the relay connector facing down, to prevent water from entering and damaging the relay.
3 Locate ideal mounting position for the wiring harness power switch. Safely remove wires attached to the switch. The switch requires a ¾” hole for mounting. Drill the appropriately-sized hole and mount the switch. Reconnect wires from the harness to the switch.
Carefully read and understand the following instructions before proceeding.
!
WARNINGS
• Do not look directly at the beam during LED light assembly operation as it is extremely bright when lit.
• Check with local, municipal and state motor vehicle requirements regarding the use of “Off-Road” lighting to determine if there are any specific requirements regarding their installation and use.
• Do not operate the LED assembly while driving on public roads.
• Mount the LED assembly only on devices specifically designed for that purpose, i.e. Lightbars, push bars, auxiliary light mounts, etc.
• Only operate under the specified voltages as mentioned in the instructions.
• Verify that the selected mounting location does not interfere with existing vehicle systems, i.e. airbag system sensors, forward and signal lighting, etc.
• Do not mount the LED assembly in a location that obstructs the view of the driver.
• Ensure adequate clearance exists between the LED assembly and its wiring, to any moving or rotating parts of the vehicle, i.e. tires/wheels, suspension, doors, etc.
• The LED assembly becomes very hot during operation and remains hot after use. Do not touch the LED assembly when hot or severe burns may result.
• Ensure the LED assembly is mounted at a safe distance from temperature- sensitive objects.
• Allow the LED assembly to cool prior to washing.
• The LED assembly is designed to be mounted with the lens surface positioned in the vertical orientation when the vehicle is resting on a level surface.
• When laying out wire routing, stay clear of radio antenna and wiring to minimize radio interference.
• Do not route wires along or near hot, sharp, or moving surfaces that might damage the wiring.
• Professional installation is recommended.
4 Attach the crimped wires (2) from the wiring harness to the exposed wires (2) on the mounted LED assembly using the supplied male spade connectors. Attach the black wire from the wiring harness to the black wire on the LED assembly. Attach the red wire from the wiring harness to the red wire on the LED assembly. Be sure to secure loose wiring with zip ties and avoid mounting wiring near pinch points, sharp surfaces, and moving parts.
5 Connect the positive and negative wires of the wiring harness using the crimped-on ring terminals. Connect the RED (+) wire to the positive battery terminal or switched +12V power source from the vehicle. Connect the BLACK (-) wire to either the negative terminal on the battery or appropriate vehicle ground (-) source.
6 Turn on the LED assembly using power switch on the wiring harness. Verify the LED assembly turns on and off properly with the switch.
