Introduction to ArcSoft TotalMedia™ Extreme

Welcome to ArcSoft TotalMedia™ Extreme, an all-in-one multimedia application that lets you play video, create and edit video and music discs, and back up files, all using DVDs, or CDs.

Click on the links below to learn more about the program:

• Main Modules - The program is divided in several modules, listed across the top of the TotalMedia Extreme home page. Simply select the function you need, and the program takes care of the rest!

• Key Applications - Different ArcSoft key applications power each module. You can also look up information based on the application name.

1. Main Modules

TotalMedia Extreme is divided into the following modules. Please note that certain versions of TotalMedia Extreme may not contain all the modules listed; these modules are available based on your system's hardware configuration, and the version of TotalMedia

Extreme installed on it.

• Player

• Create Video

1.1 Player

In the Player module, you can:

• Watch the video files you captured with ArcSoft.

2. Key Applications

ArcSoft TotalMedia™ Extreme includes the following key applications:

• TotalMedia Theatre

• TotalMedia Studio

2.1 TotalMedia Theatre

ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre™ is a high-quality media playback application that enhances your movie watching experience with tons of cool features and options that you just can't get from a standard DVD player.

To view a movie:

1. Select a source for the movie to watch. (only support the files you captured)

2. Use the standard playback controls to play your movie.

3. Click the Setup button to adjust your settings, including configuring advanced audio controls.

Theatre Help, first detach the control panel. Then click the "?" icon on the main control panel.

2.2 TotalMedia Studio

ArcSoft TotalMedia™ Studio is a fun and easy-to-use program that lets you make amazing, customized movies! All you need to do is follow each step along the top of the program screen and in no time you'll be able to burn and share your homemade videos.

Use this application when you want your disc to contain menus, chapters, and scene selections.

Follow the tabs along the top of the program screen to create your disc:

1. Get Media - Create the content for your disc by inserting video, slideshow, or PowerPoint materials, or by capturing video from a camcorder. Edit the content by trimming video, setting chapters, rotating picures, and more.

2. Design - Select a theme and layout for your movie's menu screen, then customize with images, sound, video clips, or animation.

3. Preview/Produce - Verify that your content appears just as you wish, then burn the content to DVD.
